उत्पत्ति 29
1 तब याकूब आफ्नो बाटो लागे र पूर्वका मानिसहरूको देशमा पुगे ।
Therfor Jacob passide forth, and cam in to the eest lond;
2 तिनले हेर्दा मैदानमा एउटा इनार देखे, र त्यसको नजिक भेडाका तिनवटा बगाल बसिरहेका थिए । किनकि त्यही इनारबाट तिनीहरूले बगाललाई पानी खुवाउँथे, र इनारको मुख ढाक्ने ढुङ्गा ठुलो थियो ।
and seiy a pit in the feeld, and thre flockis of scheep restynge bisidis it, for whi scheep weren watrid therof, and the mouth therof was closid with a greet stoon.
3 सबै बगालहरू त्यहाँ जम्मा भएपछि गोठालाहरूले इनारको मुखबाट ढुङ्गा गुडाएर भेडाहरूलाई पानी खान दिन्थे । त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले त्यो ढुङ्गालाई इनारको मुखमा फेरि पहिलेकै ठाउँमा राखिदिन्थे ।
And the custom was that whanne alle scheep weren gaderid togidere, thei schulden turne awei the stoon, and whanne the flockis weren fillid thei schulden put it eft on the mouth of the pit.
4 याकूबले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “हे मेरा भाइ हो, तिमीहरू कहाँका हौ?” तिनीहरूले भने, “हामी हारानका हौँ ।”
And Jacob seide to the scheepherdis, Brithren, of whennus ben ye? Whiche answeriden, Of Aran.
5 उनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “तिमीहरू नाहोरका छोरो लाबानलाई चिन्छौ?” तिनीहरूले भने, “हामी तिनलाई चिन्छौँ ।”
And he axide hem and seide, Wher ye knowen Laban, the sone of Nachor? Thei seiden, We knowen.
6 उनले तिनीहरूलाई सोधे, “के उहाँ सन्चै हुनुहुन्छ?” तिनीहरूले भने, “उहाँ सन्चै हुनुहुन्छ, र हेर्नुहोस्, उहाँकी छोरी राहेल भेडाहरू लिएर आउँदै छिन् ।”
Jacob seide, Is he hool? Thei seiden, He is in good staat; and lo! Rachel, his douytir, cometh with his flok.
7 याकूबले भने, “हेर, मध्य दिन भएको छ । भेडा-बाख्राहरूलाई जम्मा गर्ने बेला भएको छैन । भेडाहरूलाई पानी खुवाएर जाओ र तिनीहरूलाई चर्न देओ ।
And Jacob seide, Yit myche of the dai is to come, and it is not tyme that the flockis be led ayen to the fooldis; sotheli yyue ye drynk to the scheep, and so lede ye hem ayen to mete.
8 तिनीहरूले भने, “सबै बगालहरू जम्मा नभई हामी तिनीहरूलाई पानी खुवाउन सक्दैनौँ । त्यसपछि यी मानिसहरूले इनारको मुखको ढुङ्गो हटाउनेछन्, अनि हामी भेडाहरूलाई पानी खुवाउनेछौँ ।”
Whiche answeriden, We moun not til alle scheep be gederid to gidere, and til we remouen the stoon fro the mouth of the pit to watir the flockis.
9 याकूब तिनीहरूसँग कुरा गरिरहेकै बेला, राहेल आफ्ना बुबाका भेडाहरू लिएर त्यहाँ आइपुगिन्, किनकि तिनले भेडाहरू चराउँदै थिइन् ।
Yit thei spaken, and lo! Rachel cam with the scheep of hir fadir.
10 जब याकूबले आफ्ना मामा लाबानकी छोरी राहेल र लाबानका भेडाहरू देखे, याकूबले नजिक आएर इनारको मुखको ढुङ्गा गुडाए, अनि आफ्ना मामा लाबानका भेडाहरूलाई पानी खुवाए ।
And whanne Jacob seiy hir, and knewe the douytir of his modris brothir, and the scheep of Laban his vncle, he remeuyde the stoon with which the pit was closid;
11 तब याकूबले राहेललाई चुम्बन गरे र डाको छोडेर रोए ।
and whanne the flok was watrid, he kisside hir, and he wepte with `vois reisid.
12 याकूबले राहेललाई आफू तिनका बाबुको नातेदार र रिबेकाको छोरा भएको कुरा बताए । तब राहेल दौडेर गइन् र आफ्ना बाबुलाई यो कुरा बताइन् ।
And he schewide to hir that he was the brothir of hir fadir, and the sone of Rebecca; and sche hastide, and telde to hir fadir.
13 आफ्ना भानिज याकूब आएको समाचार पाउने बित्तिकै लाबान तिनलाई भेट्नलाई दौडेर गएर तिनलाई अँगालो हालेर चुम्बन गरे, अनि तिनलाई आफ्नो घरमा ल्याए । याकूबले लाबानलाई सबै कुरा बताइदिए ।
And whanne he hadde herd, that Jacob, the sone of his sistir, cam, he ran ayens hym, and he biclippide Jacob and kisside hym, and ledde in to his hows. Forsothe whanne the causis of the iurney weren herd,
14 लाबानले तिनलाई भने, “वास्तवमा तिमी मेरो हाड र मासु हौ ।” त्यसपछि याकूब तिनीसँग करिब एक महिना बसे ।
Laban answeride, Thou art my boon and my fleisch. And aftir that the daies of o moneth weren fillid, Laban seide to him,
15 त्यसपछि लाबानले याकूबलाई भने, “मेरा नातेदार हुँदैमा तिमीले सित्तैँमा मेरो सेवा गर्नुपर्छ र? तिम्रो ज्याला कति हो मलाई भन ।”
`Whethir for thou art my brothir, thou schalt serue me frely? seie thou what mede thou schalt take.
16 लाबानका दुई जना छोरी थिए । जेठीको नाउँ लेआ र कान्छीको नाउँ राहेल थियो ।
Forsothe Laban hadde twei douytris, the name of the more was Lya, sotheli the lesse was clepid Rachel;
17 लेआका आँखा धमिला थिए, तर राहेलचाहिँ शारीरिक रूपमा सुडौल र हेर्नमा सुन्दरी थिइन् ।
but Lya was blere iyed, Rachel was of fair face, and semeli in siyt.
18 याकूबले राहेललाई प्रेम गरे, त्यसैले तिनले भने, “तपाईंकी कान्छी छोरी राहेलको निम्ति म सात वर्षसम्म तपाईंको सेवा गर्नेछु ।”
And Jacob louede Rachel, and seide, Y schal serue thee seuene yeer for Rachel thi lesse douytir.
19 लाबानले भने, “त्यसलाई अर्को मानिसलाई दिनुभन्दा त तिमीलाई दिनु नै असल हो । मसँगै बस ।”
Laban answeride, It is betere that Y yyue hir to thee than to anothir man; dwelle thou at me.
20 यसकारण याकूबले राहेलको निम्ति सात वर्षसम्म सेवा गरे । राहेलप्रति तिनको प्रेमको कारण तिनलाई त्यो समय तिनलाई थोरै दिनजस्तो लाग्यो ।
Therfor Jacob seruyde seuene yeer for Rachel; and the daies semyden fewe to hym for the greetnesse of loue.
21 त्यसपछि याकूबले लाबानलाई भने, “मैले सेवा गर्ने दिनहरू पुरा भएको हुनाले मलाई मेरी पत्नी दिनुहोस् ताकि म तिनीसँग विवाह गर्न सकूँ ।”
And he seide to Laban, Yyue thou my wijf to me, for the tyme is fillid that Y entre to hir.
22 तब लाबानले त्यस ठाउँका सबै मानिसहरू जम्मा गरेर भोज दिए ।
And whanne many cumpenyes of freendis weren clepid to the feeste, he made weddyngis,
23 साँझमा उनले आफ्नी छोरी लेआलाई याकूबकहाँ ल्याइदिए, र याकूबले तिनीसँग सहवास गरे ।
and in the euentid Laban brouyte in to hym Lya his douytir,
24 लाबानले आफ्नी कमारी जिल्पालाई आफ्नी छोरी लेआकी कमारी हुनलाई दिए ।
and yaf an handmaide, Selfa bi name, to the douyter. And whanne Jacob hadde entrid to hir bi custom, whanne the morewtid was maad, he seiy Lya,
25 याकूबले बिहान हेर्दा त लेआ पो रहिछन् । तिनले लाबानलाई भने, “तपाईंले मप्रति यो के गर्नुभएको? मैले राहेलको निम्ति सेवा गरेको होइन र? त्यसो भए तपाईंले किन मसित छल गर्नुभयो?”
and seide to his wyues fadir, What is it that thou woldist do? wher Y seruede not thee for Rachel? whi hast thou disseyued me?
26 लाबानले भने, “जेठीको भन्दा कान्छीको विवाह अगि गर्ने रीति हामीकहाँ छैन ।
Laban answerde, It is not custom in oure place that we yyue first the `lesse douytris to weddyngis;
27 यो छोरीसँग एक साता पुरा गर, र अर्को सात वर्ष मेरो सेवाको सट्टामा म तिमीलाई अर्की पनि दिनेछु ।”
fille thou the wouke of daies of this couplyng, and Y schal yyue to thee also this Rachel, for the werk in which thou schalt serue me bi othere seuene yeer.
28 याकूबले त्यसै गरे, र लेआसँग एक साता पुरा गरे । तब लाबानले आफ्नी छोरी राहेललाई पनि याकूबकी पत्नीको रूपमा दिए ।
Jacob assentide to the couenaunt, and whanne the wouke was passid,
29 लाबानले आफ्नी कमारी बिल्हालाई आफ्नी छोरी राहेलकी कमारी हुनलाई दिए ।
he weddide Rachel, to whom the fadir hadde youe Bala seruauntesse.
30 त्यसैले याकूबले राहेलसँग पनि सहवास गरे, तर तिनले लेआलाई भन्दा राहेललाई बढी प्रेम गर्थे । यसकारण याकूबले थप सात साल लाबानको सेवा गरे ।
And at the laste he vside the weddyngis desirid, and settide the loue of the `wijf suynge bifore the former; and he seruede at Laban seuene othere yeer.
31 लेआलाई प्रेम नगरिएको परमप्रभुले देख्नुभयो, त्यसैले उहाँले तिनको कोख खोलिदिनुभयो । तर राहेलका सन्तान भएका थिएनन् ।
Forsothe the Lord seiy that he dispiside Lya, and openyde hir wombe while the sistir dwellide bareyn.
32 लेआले गर्भवती भएर एक छोरो जन्माइन्, र तिनले यसो भनेर त्यसको नाम रूबेन राखिन् । “साँच्ची नै परमप्रभुले मेरो दु: ख देख्नुभएको छ, अब त मेरा पतिले निश्चय नै मलाई प्रेम गर्नुहुनेछ ।”
And Lia childide a sone conseyued, and clepide his name Ruben, and seide, The Lord seiy my mekenesse; now myn hosebonde schal loue me.
33 तिनी फेरि गर्भवती भइन् र अर्को छोरा जन्माइन् । तिनले भनिन्, “म प्रेमविहीन छु भनी परमेश्वरले सुन्नुभएको हुनाले उहाँले मलाई यो छोरा पनि दिनुभयो,” र तिनले त्यसको नाउँ शिमियोन राखिन् ।
And eft sche conseyuede, `and childide a sone, and seide, For the Lord seiy that Y was dispisid, he yaf also this sone to me; and sche clepide his name Symeon.
34 तिनी फेरि गर्भवती भइन् र एक जना छोरो जन्माइन् । तिनले भनिन्, “अब त मेरा पति मप्रति आकर्षित हुनुहुनेछ, किनभने मैले उहाँको निम्ति तिन जना छोरा पाइसकेँ ।” यसकारण त्यसको नाउँ लेवी राखियो ।
And sche conseyuede the thridde tyme, and childide anothir sone, and she seide also, Now myn hosebonde schal be couplid to me, for Y childide thre sones to him; and therfor sche clepide his name Leuy.
35 तिनी फेरि गर्भवती भएर छोरो पाइन् र भनिन्, “यस पाली त म परमप्रभुको प्रशंसा गर्नेछु ।” यसैले त्यसको नाउँ यहूदा राखियो । त्यसपछि तिनले जन्माउन छोडिन् ।
The fourthe tyme sche conseyuede, and childide a sone, and seide, Now I schal knouleche to the Lord; and herfor she clepide his name Judas; and ceesside to childe.
