उत्पत्ति 14
1 यो अम्रापेल, एल्लासारका राजा अर्योक र एलाममा राजा कदोर्लाओमेर र गोयीमका राजा तिदालको समयमा भएको थियो ।
And in the dayes of Amraphel King of Shinar, Arioch King of Ellasar, Chedor-laomer King of Elam, and Tidal king of the nations:
2 तिनीहरूले सदोमका राजा बेरा, गमोराका राजा बिर्शा, अद्माका राजा शिनाब, सबोयिमका राजा शेमेबेर र बेला (अर्थात् सोअरका) विरुद्ध युद्ध गरे ।
These men made warre with Bera King of Sodom, and with Birsha King of Gomorah, Shinab King of Admah, and Shemeber King of Zeboiim, and the King of Bela, which is Zoar.
3 यी पछिल्ला पाँच जना राजाहरू सिद्दीम अर्थात् मृत सागरको बेँसीमा भेला भए ।
All these ioyned together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt Sea.
4 तिनीहरूले बाह्र वर्षसम्म कदर्लाओमेरको सेवा गरे तर तेह्रौँ वर्षमा तिनीहरूले विद्रोह गरे ।
Twelue yeere were they subiect to Chedor-laomer, but in the thirteenth yeere they rebelled.
5 अनि चौधौँ वर्षमा, कदोर्लाओमेर र तिनीसित भएका राजाहरू आए र अस्तेरोत-केर्णेममा रपाईहरूलाई, हाममा जूजीहरूलाई, शावेकिर्यातैममा एमीहरूलाई,
And in the fourteenth yeere came Chedor-laomer, and the Kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaueh Kiriathaim,
6 र होरीहरूलाई सेइरको पहाडी देशमा मरुभूमि नजिक रहेको एल-पारानसम्म आक्रमण गरे ।
And the Horites in their mount Seir, vnto the plaine of Paran, which is by the wildernesse.
7 त्यपछि तिनीहरू फर्के र एन-मिशपातमा (अर्थात् कादेशमा) आए अनि अमालेकीहरूका सबै देशहरू र हासेसोन-तामारमा बस्ने एमोरीहरूलाई पराजीत गरे ।
And they returned and came to En-mishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the countrey of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites that dwelled in Hazezon-tamar.
8 त्यसपछि सदोमका राजा, गमोराका राजा, अदमाका राजा, सबोयिमका राजा र बेला (अर्थात् सोअरका) राजा निस्के अनि सिद्दीमको बेँसीमा युद्धको निम्ति तयार भए ।
Then went out the King of Sodom, and the King of Gomorah, and the King of Admah, and the King of Zeboiim, and the King of Bela, which is Zoar: and they ioyned battell with them in the vale of Siddim:
9 एलामका राजा कदोर्लाओमेर, गोयीमका राजा तिदाल, शिनारका राजा अम्रापेल, एल्लासारका राजा अर्योक; पाँच राजाका विरिद्ध चार राजा ।
To wit, with Chedor-laomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar: foure Kings against fiue.
10 सिद्दीमको बेँसी अलकत्राको धापले भरिएको थियो, र सदोम र गमोराका राजाहरू भागे, तिनीहरू त्यसमा खसे । बाँकी रहेकाहरू पहाडतिर भागे ।
Now the vale of Siddim was full of slime pits, and the Kings of Sodom and Gomorah fled and fell there: and ye residue fled to the mountaine.
11 यसैले राजाहरू सदोम र गमोराका सबै मालसामानहरू, तिनीहरूका रासनहरू लगे र आफ्नो बाटो लागे ।
Then they tooke all the substance of Sodom and Gomorah, and al their vitailes and went their way.
12 जब तिनीहरू गए, तिनीहरूले अब्रामका भाइका छोरा लोतलाई पनि तिनका सबै मालसामानसँगै लगे, जो सदोममा बसोबास गरिरहेका थिए ।
They tooke Lot also Abrams brothers sonne and his substance (for he dwelt at Sodom) and departed.
13 उम्केर आएका एक जानले हिब्रू अब्रामलाई भने । तिनी एश्कोल र अनेरका भाइ मम्रेका फलाँटका रूखहरू नजिक बसिरहेका थिए, तिनीहरू सबै अब्रामका मित्रहरू थिए ।
Then came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Ebrew, which dwelt in the plaine of Mamre ye Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner, which were confederat with Abram.
14 जब अब्रामले तिनका नातेदारलाई शत्रुहरूले कब्जा गरेको कुरा सुने, तिनले आफ्ना घरमा नै जन्मेका तालिम प्राप्त ३१८ जना मानिसहरू लिएर तिनले तिनीहरूलाई दानसम्म नै खेदे ।
When Abram heard that his brother was taken, he brought forth of them that were borne and brought vp in his house, three hundreth and eighteene, and pursued them vnto Dan.
15 तिनले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई राती तिनीहरू विरुद्ध समूह-समूहमा विभाजन गरे र तिनीहरूलाई आक्रमण गरे अनि तिनीहरूलाई होबासम्म खेदे, जुन दमस्कसको उत्तर पर्छ ।
Then he, and his seruants deuided them selues against them by night, and smote them and pursued them vnto Hobah, which is on the left side of Damascus,
16 तिनले आफ्ना सबै सम्पत्तिहरू पनि फिर्ता ल्याए र तिनका नातेदार र तिनका मालसामानहरू साथै महिलाहरू र अन्य मानिसहरू पनि ल्याए ।
And he recouered all the substance, and also brought againe his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also and the people.
17 अब्रामले कदोर्लाओमेर र तिनीसँग भएका राजाहरूलाई पराजित गरेर फर्केपछि, सदोमका राजा तिनलाई भेट्न शावेको (अर्थात् राजाको उपत्यका) उपत्यकामा गए ।
After that he returned from the slaughter of Chedor-laomer, and of the Kings that were with him, came the King of Sodom foorth to meete him in the valley of Shaueh, which is the Kings dale.
18 शालेमका राजा मल्कीसेदेकले रोटी र दाखमद्य लिएर आए । तिनी सर्वोच्चका पूजाहारी थिए ।
And Melchi-zedek King of Shalem brought foorth bread and wine: and he was a Priest of the most high God.
19 तिनले उनलाई यसो भन्दै आशोष् दिए, “स्वर्ग र पृथ्वी सृष्टि गर्नु हुने परमेश्वरले अब्रामलाई आशिष् दिनुभएको होस् ।
Therefore he blessed him, saying, Blessed art thou, Abram, of God most high possessour of heauen and earth,
20 सर्वोच्च परमेश्वर धन्यको हौऊन्, जसले तिम्रा शत्रुहरूलाई तिम्रा हातमा सुम्पनुभएको छ ।” तब अब्रामले तिनका सबै थोकको दशांश उनलाई दिए ।
And blessed be the most high God, which hath deliuered thine enemies into thine hand. And Abram gaue him tythe of all.
21 सदोमका राजाले अब्रामलाई भने, “मानिसहरू मलाई देऊ र सबै मालसामानहरू आफैले लैजाऊ ।
Then the King of Sodom saide to Abram, Giue me the persons, and take the goodes to thy selfe.
22 अब्रामले सदोमका राजालाई भने, “मैले सर्वोच्च परमेश्वर, स्वर्ग र पृथ्वीका सृष्टिकर्ता परमप्रभुमा शपथ खाएको छु,
And Abram said to the King of Sodom, I haue lift vp mine hand vnto the Lord the most hie God possessor of heauen and earth,
23 मैले तपाईंबाट एउटा धागोम जुत्ताको फित्ता वा कुनै पनि कुरा लिनेछैन, ताकि 'मैले अब्रामलाई धनी बनाएको छु' भनी तपाईंले कहिल्यै भन्न सक्नुहुनेछैन ।
That I will not take of all that is thine, so much as a threde or shoolatchet, lest thou shouldest say, I haue made Abram riche,
24 मैले जवान मानिसहरूले खाएका र मसँग गएका मानिसहरूका भाग बाहेक कुनै कुरा लिनेछैन । आनेर, एश्कोल र मम्रेले आफ्ना भाग लेऊन् ।
Saue onely that, which the yong men haue eaten, and the partes of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre: let them take their partes.
