उत्पत्ति 11
1 अहिले सारा पृत्वीमा एउटै भाषा थियो र शब्दहरू पनि उही थिए ।
And all the world was of one tonge and one language.
2 तिनीहरू पूर्वतिर जाँदा, तिनीहरूले शिनारको भूमिमा एउटा मैदान भेट्टाए र तिनीहरू त्यही बसे ।
And as they came from the east they founde a playne in the lande of Synear and there they dwelled.
3 तिनीहरूले आपसमा भने, “आओ, ईंटहरू बनाऔँ र तिनीहरूलाई राम्ररी पलौँ ।” तिनीहरूसँग ढुङ्गाको सट्टामा ईंट थियो र हिलोको सट्टामा अलकत्रा थियो ।
And they sayd one to a nother: come on let us make brycke ad burne it wyth fyre. So brycke was there stone and slyme was there morter
4 तिनीहरूले भने, “आओ, हाम्रो निम्ति एउटा सहर बनाऔँ र आकाश नै छुने एउटा धरहरा निर्माण गर्यौँ अनि नाउँ कमाऔँ । यदि हामीले यसो गरनौँ भने हामी सारा पृथ्वीभरि छरपष्ट हुनेछौँ ।”
And they sayd: Come on let vs buylde vs a cyte and a toure that the toppe may reach vnto heauen. And let vs make us a name for perauenture we shall be scatered abrode over all the erth.
5 यसैले परमप्रभु परमेश्वर आदमका सन्तानहरूले निर्माण गरेका त्यो सहर र धरहरा हेर्न तल आउनुभयो ।
And the LORde came downe to see the cyte and the toure which the childern of Ada had buylded.
6 परमेप्रभुले भन्नुभयो, “हेर, तिनीहरू एउटै भाषामा एउटै मानिसझैँ छन् अनि तिनीहरूले यसो गर्न सुरु गरिरहेका छन् । तिनीहरूले गर्न चाहेको कुनै पनि कुरा तिनीहरूको निम्ति असम्भव हुनेछैन ।
And the LORde sayd: See the people is one and haue one tonge amonge them all. And thys haue they begon to do and wyll not leaue of from all that they haue purposed to do.
7 आओ, हामी तल जाऔँ र तिनीहरूका भाषा खलबलाइ दिऔँ, ताकि तिनीहरू एउटाले भनेको अर्काले बुझ्न सकून् ।”
Come on let vs descende and myngell theire tonge even there that one vnderstonde not what a nother sayeth.
8 यसैले परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई सारा पृथ्वीभरि छरपष्ट पार्नुभयो र तिनीहरूले त्यो सहर निर्माण गर्न छोडे ।
Thus ye LORde skatered them from thence vppon all the erth. And they left of to buylde the cyte.
9 यसकारण, यसको नाउँ बाबेल राखियो, किनभने परमप्रभुले त्यहाँ सारा पृथ्वीको भाषा खलबलाउनुभयो अनि त्यहाँबाट नै परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई सारा पृथ्वीभरि छरपष्ट पा्र्नुभयो ।
Wherfore the name of it is called Babell because that the LORDE there confounded the tonge of all the world. And because that the LORde from thence skatered them abrode vppon all the erth.
10 यिनीहरू शेमका सन्तानहरू थिए । जलप्रलयको दुई वर्षपछि शेम सय वर्षको हुँदा तिनी अर्पक्षेदका पिता बने ।
These are the generations of Sem: Se was an hundred yere olde and begat Arcphachsad ij. yere after the floude.
11 शेम अर्पक्षेदका पिता भएपछि तिनी पाँच सय वर्षसम्म बाँचे । तिनका अरू छोराहरू र छोरीहरू पनि भए ।
And Se lyved after he had begot Arphachsad. v. hundred yere an begat sonnes and doughters.
12 अर्पक्षद पैँतीस वर्षको हुँदा तिनी शेलहका पिता बने ।
And Arphacsad lyued. xxxv. yere and begat Sala
13 अर्पक्षद शेलहका पिता भएपछो तिनी ४०३ वर्ष बाँचे । तिनका अरू छोराहरू र छोरीहरू पनि भए ।
and lyved after he had begot Sala iiij. hudred yere and. iij and begat sonnes and doughters.
14 शेलह तीस वर्षका हुँदा तिनी एबेरला पिता बने ।
And Sala was. xxx. yere old and begat Eber
15 शेलह एबेरका पिता भएपछि तिनी ४०३ वर्ष बाँचे । तिनी अरू छोराहरू र छोरीहरूका पिता पनि भए ।
ad lyued after he had begot Eber. iiij. hudred and thre yere ad begat sonnes and doughters
16 एबेर तीस वर्षको हुँदा तिनी पेलेगका पिता बने ।
When Eber was. xxxiiij. yere olde he begat Peleg
17 पेलेगका पिता भएपछि एबेर ४३० वर्ष बाँचे । तिनी अरू छोराहरू र छोरीहरूका पिता पनि भए ।
and lyued after he had begot Peleg foure hundred and. xxx. yere and begat sonnes and doughters.
18 पेलेग तीस वर्षको हुँदा तिनी रऊका पिता बने ।
And Peleg when he was. xxx. yere olde begat Regu
19 रऊका पिता भएपछि पेलेग २०९ वर्ष बाँचे । तिनी अरू छोराहरू र छोरीहरूका पिता पनि भए ।
and lyued after he had begot Regu. ij. hundred and. ix. yere and begat sonnes and doughters.
20 रऊ बत्तीस वर्षको हुँदा तिनी सरूगका पिता भए ।
And Regu when he had lyued. xxxij. yere begat Serug
21 सरूगका पिता भएपछि रऊ २०७ वर्ष बाँचे । तिनी अरू छोराहरू र छोरीहरूका पिता पनि भए ।
and lyued after he had begot Serug. ij. hundred and. vij. yere and begat sonnes and doughters.
22 सरूग तीस वर्षको हुँदा तिनी नाहोरका पिता बने ।
And when Serug was. xxx. yere olde he begat Nahor
23 नाहोरका पिता भएपछि सरूग दुई सय वर्ष बाँचे । तिनी अरू छोराहरू र छोरीहरूका पिता पनि भए ।
and lyued after he had begot Nahor. ij. hundred yere and begat sonnes and doughters.
24 नाहोर उनन्तीस वर्षको हुँदा तिनी तेरहका पिता बने ।
And Nahor when he was. xxix. yere olde begat Terah
25 तेरहको पिता बनेपछि नाहोर ११९ वर्ष बाँचे । तिनी अरू छोराहरू र छोरीहरूका पिता पनि भए ।
and lyved after he had begot Terah an hundred and. xix. yere and begat sonnes and doughters.
26 तेरह सत्तरी वर्षको हुँदा तिनी अब्राम, नाहोर र हारानका पिता बने ।
And when Terah was. lxx. yere olde he begat Abram Nahor and Haran.
27 तेरहका सन्तानहरू यिनीहरू थिए । तेरहस अब्राम, नाहोर र हारानका पिता भए अनि हारान लोतका पिता बने ।
And these are the generations of Terah. Terah begat Abram Nahor and Haran. And Haran begat Lot.
28 हारान तिनको पिता तेरहसको सामु नै तिनको जन्म थलो अर्थात् कल्दीहरूको ऊरमा मरे ।
And Haran dyed before Terah his father in the londe where he was borne at Vr in Chaldea.
29 अब्राम र नाहोरले विवाह गरे र पत्नि ल्याए । अब्रामकी पत्निको नाउँ साराई थियो र नाहोरकी पत्निको नाउँ मिल्का थियो, तिनी हारानको छोरी थिइन् अनि हारान मिल्का र यिस्काका पिता थिए ।
And Abram and Nahor toke them wyves. Abras wyfe was called Sarai. And Nahors wyfe Mylca the doughter of Haran which was father of Milca ad of Iisca.
30 सारा बाँझी थिइन्; तिनको कुनै बालबच्चाहरू थिएनन् ।
But Sarai was baren and had no childe.
31 तेरहले तिनका छोरो अब्राम, हारानाका छोरो लोत र तिनकी बुहारी साराई अर्थात् तिनका छोरो अब्रामको पत्निलाई लिए र कनानतिर जान तिनीहरू कल्दीहरूको ऊरतिर गए । तर तिनीहरू हारानमा आए र त्यहाँ नै बसे ।
Than toke Terah Abram his sonne and Lot his sonne Harans sonne and Sarai his doughter in lawe his sone Abrams wyfe. And they went wyth hym from Vr in Chaldea to go in to the lade of Chanaan. And they came to Haran and dwelled there.
32 तेरह २०५ वर्ष बाँचे र तिनी हारानमा नै मरे ।
And when Terah was ij. hundred yere old and. v. he dyed in Haran.
