गलाती 3

1 हे मूर्ख गलातीहरू! कसको दुष्‍ट आँखाले तिमीहरूलाई नोक्सानी गर्‍यो? के तिमीहरूका आँखाको अगाडि येशू ख्रीष्‍ट क्रुसमा टाँगिनुभएको कुरा दर्शाइएको थिएन र?

O senseless Galatians, who hath so bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth? you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth as crucified.

2 म तिमीहरूबाट यो कुरा मात्र बुझ्‍न चाहन्छु । के तिमीहरूले पवित्र आत्मालाई व्यवस्था अनुसारका कामहरू गरेर पाएका हौ कि तिमीहरूले सुनेका कुरामा विश्‍वास गरेर पाएका हौ?

This only would I learn of you, Did ye receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

3 के तिमीहरू यति धेरै मूर्ख भएका छौ? के अब केवल शरीरमा अन्त हुन तिमीहरूले आत्मामा सुरु गरेका थियौ?

Are ye so void of understanding? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

4 यदि त्यो साँच्‍चै निरर्थक थियो भने के तिमीहरूले व्यर्थमा यति धेरै कुराहरूको अनुभव गर्‍यौ त?

have ye suffered so many things in vain? if indeed in vain.

5 त्यसो भए, जसले तिमीहरूलाई पवित्र आत्मा दिनुहुन्छ र तिमीहरूका बिचमा शक्‍तिशाली कार्यहरूद्वारा काम गर्नुहुन्छ, के उहाँले यो व्यवस्था अनुसारका कामहरूका कारण गर्नुभएको हो कि विश्‍वास गरेर सुनेका कारणले?

He therefore that imparteth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doth he it by the works of the law, or by the doctrine of faith?

6 अब्राहामले “परमेश्‍वरलाई विश्‍वास गरे अनि यो उनको निम्ति धार्मिकता गनियो ।”

As Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness:

7 त्यसो भए, यसै गरी यो बुझ, कि विश्‍वास गर्नेहरू नै अब्राहामका सन्तान हुन् ।

so ye know that they who believe, are the children of Abraham.

8 धर्मशास्‍त्रले पहिले नै यो देखेको थियो, कि परमेश्‍वरले गैरयहूदीहरूलाई विश्‍वासद्वारा धर्मी ठहराउनुहुन्छ । अब्राहामलाई अगाडि नै सुसमाचार दिइएको थियो, “तँबाट नै पृथ्वीमा हुने सबै जातिहरू आशिषित हुनेछन् ।”

And the scripture foreseeing that God would justify the gentiles through faith, preached the gospel to Abraham long ago, saying, "In thee shall all nations be blessed."

9 त्यसैकारण, जोसँग विश्‍वास छ, तिनीहरू अब्राहामसँगै आशिषित हुन्छन्, तिनै अब्राहाम जससँग पनि विश्‍वास थियो ।

So then they that believe, are blessed with believing Abraham.

10 व्यवस्था अनुसारका कामहरूमा भर पर्नेहरू श्रापित हुन्छन् । किनकि यसरी लेखिएको छ “व्यवस्थामा लेखिएका सबै कुराहरू पालन नगर्ने सबै श्रापित हुन्छन् ।”

For as many as are of the works of the law, are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed be every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.

11 अब यो स्पष्‍ट छ, कि परमेश्‍वरले कसैलाई पनि व्यवस्थाद्वारा धर्मी ठहराउनुहुन्‍न, किनकि “धर्मी मानिस विश्‍वासद्वारा नै जिउनेछ ।”

And that by the law no one is justified before God is evident; for it is written "The just shall live by faith:"

12 व्यवस्था विश्‍वासबाट आएको होइन, तर त्यसको सट्टामा, “जसले व्यवस्थामा भएका कुराहरू गर्दछ त्यो व्यवस्थाअनुसार नै जिउनेछ ।”

now the law is not of faith, but saith, "The man that doth them, shall live in them."

13 हाम्रो निम्ति ख्रीष्‍ट श्रापित हुनुभएर उहाँले हामीलाई व्यवस्थाको श्रापबाट मुक्त गराउनुभयो । किनकि यसरी लेखिएको छ, “काठमा झुण्डिने हरेक श्रापित हुन्छ ।”

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, having been made a curse for us: for it is written, "Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:"

14 यसको उद्देश्य यही थियो, कि अब्राहाममा भएको आशिष् ख्रीष्‍ट येशूद्वारा गैरयहूदीहरूमाझ आउन सकोस्, ताकि हामीले विश्‍वासद्वारा पवित्र आत्माको प्रतिज्ञा प्राप्‍त गर्न सकौँ ।

that the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles by Christ Jesus; that we through faith might receive the promise of the Spirit.

15 भाइहरू हो, म मानवीय शब्दहरूमा बोल्दछु । एक पटक पक्‍का भइसकेको मानिसले बनाएको इच्छा-पत्र त न कसैले रद्द गर्छ न त त्यसमा केही थपिन्छ ।

Brethren, (I speak after the manner of men, ) no one cancelleth or addeth to a covenant which hath been ratified, though it be but the covenant of a man.

16 अब यी प्रतिज्ञाहरू अब्राहाम र उनको सन्तानलाई दिइएको थियो । यसले धेरै मानिसहरूलाई जनाउने गरी “सन्तानहरूलाई” भन्दैन, तर यसको सट्टामा “तिम्रो सन्तानलाई” भनेर यसले एक जनालाई मात्र जनाउँछ, जो ख्रीष्‍ट हुनुहुन्छ ।

Now the promises were made to Abraham, and to his seed. He doth not say, "and to seeds," as of many; but as of one, "and to thy seed," which is Christ.

17 अब म यो भन्दछु । परमेश्‍वरले पहिले नै स्थापना गर्नुभएको करारलाई ४३० वर्षपछि आएको व्यवस्थाले रद्द गर्दैन ।

This then I say, that the law, which was given four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul the covenant, which was so long before confirmed by God unto Christ, to make void the promise.

18 किनकि उत्तराधिकार व्‍यवस्थाद्वारा आएको हो भने, यो अहिले प्रतिज्ञाद्वारा आउने थिएन । तर परमेश्‍वरले प्रतिज्ञाद्वारा अब्राहामलाई यो सित्तैँमा दिनुभयो ।

For if the inheritance be from the law, it is no more from the promise: whereas God gave it to Abraham by promise.

19 त्यसो भए व्यवस्था किन दिइयो त? ती प्रतिज्ञा गरिएकाहरूकहाँ अब्राहामका सन्तान नआउन्जेलसम्म अपराधको कारणले व्यवस्था थपियो । यो व्यवस्था एउटा मध्यस्तकर्ताको हातद्वारा स्वर्गदूतहरूमार्फत लागु गरिएको थियो ।

What then availeth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come, to whom the promise was made; and it was delivered by angels in the hand of a mediator.

20 अहिले मध्यस्तकर्ताले एकभन्दा बढी व्यक्‍तिलाई बुझाउँछ, तापनि परमेश्‍वर एउटै हुनुहुन्छ ।

Now a mediator is not the mediator of one only; and God is but one.

21 त्यसो भए, के व्यवस्था परमेश्‍वरका प्रतिज्ञाहरूको विरुद्धमा छ त? कदापि होइन! किनकि यदि जीवन दिन सक्‍ने व्यवस्था दिइएको भए, निश्‍चय नै त्यही व्यवस्थाद्वारा धार्मिकता आउने थियो ।

Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? not at all: for if a law had been given, which could have confered life, certainly righteousness would have been by the law.

22 तर त्यसको सट्टामा, पापको अधीनमा रहेका सबै कुरालाई धर्मशास्‍त्रले कैदमा राख्यो । परमेश्‍वरले यो गर्नुभयो ताकि येशू ख्रीष्‍टमा विश्‍वासद्वारा हामीलाई बचाउने उहाँको प्रतिज्ञालाई विश्‍वास गर्नेहरूलाई दिन सकियोस् ।

But the scripture hath shut up all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

23 तर ख्रीष्‍टमा विश्‍वास आउनुभन्दा अगाडि विश्‍वासको प्रकाश नआउन्जेलसम्म हामी व्यवस्थाद्वारा कैदमा थियौँ र सीमित थियौँ ।

But before faith came, we were kept shut up under the law, till the faith appeared which was to be revealed.

24 त्यसकारण, हामी विश्‍वासद्वारा धर्मी ठहरिनको निम्ति ख्रीष्‍ट नआउन्जेलसम्मको लागि व्यवस्था हाम्रो संरक्षक बन्यो ।

So that the law was our guide to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 अब विश्‍वास आइसकेकोले हामी कुनै संरक्षकको अधीनमा छैनौँ ।

But now faith is come we are no longer under a pedagogue.

26 किनकि ख्रीष्‍ट येशूमा विश्‍वासद्वारा तिमीहरू सबै परमेश्‍वरका पुत्रहरू हौ ।

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27 तिमीहरूमध्ये सबै जतिको ख्रीष्‍ट येशूमा बप्‍तिस्मा भयो, तिमीहरू आफैँले ख्रीष्‍टलाई पहिरिएका छौ ।

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ:

28 अब न त यहूदी छ, न ग्रिक, न कमारा छ न फुक्‍का, न पुरुष छ न स्‍त्री, किनभने ख्रीष्‍ट येशूमा तिमीहरू सबै एक हौ ।

and there is neither Jew nor Greek, those is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 यदि तिमीहरू ख्रीष्‍टका हौ भनेता तिमीहरू अब्राहामका सन्तानहरू हौ र प्रतिज्ञाबमोजिम उत्तराधिकारीहरू हौ ।

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
