इजकिएल 5
1 “तब ए मानिसको छोरो, आफ्नो लागि हजामको छुराजस्तै एउटा धारिलो तरवार ली र त्यसको धारले आफ्नो कपाल र दाह्री खौरी, त्यसपछि जोख्नलाई तराजू ली, र तेरो कपाललाई भाग लगा ।
“Also, you human, [when you start doing those things, ] take a sharp sword and use it like [SIM] a razor to shave your head and your beard. Then put the hair that you shaved off on scales, and divide the [into three equal parts].
2 घेराबन्दीका दिन समाप्त हुन्छन्, तब रौंको एक तिहाइलाई सहरभित्र आगोमा जलाइदे, र अर्को एक तिहाइलाई चाहिं सहरका चारैतिर तरवारले टुक्रा-टुक्रा पारिदे । अनि बाँकी एक तिहाइचाहिं हावामा उडाइदे, र मानिसहरूलाई केद्न म तरवार थुत्नेछु ।
When the time during [you will symbolize that] the city will be [by enemy troops] ends, put a third of the hair inside [drawing of the] city and burn it. Take another third of the hair, [scatter it] all [the drawing of] the city, and then strike it with your sword. That will symbolize that I will strike the people of Jerusalem [their enemies’] swords. Then allow the wind to scatter the other third of the hair. That will symbolize [even if they flee from the city], I will [cause their enemies to] pursue them and attack them with swords.
3 तर कपालको केही भाग लि र आफ्नो लुगामा ती बाँध् ।
Take a few of your hairs and tuck them into the folds of your robe.
4 तब तीबाट अझै केही कपाल लिएर आगोको बिचमा फ्याँकिदे । अनि त्यो आगोमा जलाइदे । त्यहाँबाट इस्राएलका सबै घरानामा एउटा आगो फैलिनेछ ।”
Then take a few of those hairs, throw them into the fire, and burn them up. [That will symbolize that] a fire will spread from Jerusalem [and destroy things] throughout Israel.
5 परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “जातिहरूका बिचमा भएको यरूशलेम यही हो, जहाँ मैले त्यसलाई राखेको छु र जहाँ मैले त्यसलाई अरू देशहरूले घेरेको छु ।
This is what [I, ] Yahweh the Lord, say: ‘[drawing will represent] Jerusalem, [the city which] I have set in the center of the nations, with [other] countries around it.
6 तर आफ्नो दुष्ट्याइँमा आफ्ना चारैतिर भएका जातिहरूले भन्दा बढी त्यसले मेरा नियमहरू र अन्य देशहरूले भन्दा बढी त्यसले मेरा विधिहरूलाई इन्कार गरेकी छे । मानिसहरूले मेरा फैसलाहरूलाई इन्कार गरेका छन् र मेरा विधिहरूमा हिंडेका छैनन् ।”
But the wicked people of Jerusalem rebelled against [obeying] my commands, and [they show that] they are more wicked than the people of the surrounding countries. They rejected my laws and refused to obey my commands.’
7 यसकारण परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “तिमीहरू आफ्ना चारैतिरका जातिहरूभन्दा अझ बढी बदमास भएका छौ, र मेरा विधिहरूमा चलेका छैनौ, वा मेरा नियमहरू पालन गरेका छैनौ, वा तिमीहरूका चारैतिर भएका जातिहरूका चालबमोजिम पनि चलेका छैनौ,”
Therefore, this is what I, Yahweh the Lord, say: ‘You people of Jerusalem have been more rebellious than the people of the nations around you; you have not obeyed any of my laws [DOU]. You have not even obeyed the laws of the nations around you!’
8 यसकारण परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “हेर, म आफै तेरो विरुद्धमा हुनेछु । म स्वयम् ती जातिहरूका सामुन्ने तँलाई दण्ड दिनेछु ।
Therefore, this is [I, ] Yahweh the Lord, say: ‘I am opposed to [you people of] Jerusalem. I will punish you, and the [people of other] nations will see it happen.
9 तेरा घिनलाग्दा कामहरूको कारण तँलाई म यस्तो गर्नेछु, जो मैले अघि कहिल्यै गरेको थिइनँ र न म फेरि कहिल्यै गर्नेछु ।
Because of all your detestable [idols], I will punish [people of Jerusalem] like I have never done before and will never do again.
10 यसकारण तेरै बिचमा बुबाहरूले छोराछोरीलाई र छोराहरूले आफ्ना बुबाहरूलाई खानेछन्, किनकि म तँमाथि दण्ड ल्याउनेछु र तेरा बाँचेकाहरू सबैलाई चारैतिर तितरबितर पारिदिनेछु ।
As a result, parents among you will eat their children, and children will eat their [because there will be nothing else to eat]. I will punish you [severely], and I will cause those who will still be alive to be scattered in all directions [IDM].’
11 यसकारण जस्तो म जीवित छु—यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो—तेरा सबै घृणित कुराहरू र तैंले गरेका सबै घिनलाग्दा कामहरूले मेरो पवित्रस्थानलाई तैंले बिटुलो पारेको हुनाले म आफै तेरो संख्या घटाउनेछु । मेरो आँखाले तँलाई टिठ्याउनेछैन, र म तँलाई छोड्नेछैनँ ।
Therefore, I, Yahweh the Lord, declare that as surely as I am alive, because you have polluted my temple with all your disgusting [statues of idols] and by the other detestable things that you do, I will no longer bless you. I will not pity [you] or act mercifully [toward you].
12 तेरा मानिसमध्ये एक तिहाइ रूढीले मर्नेछौ, र तिमीहरूकै माझमा तिनीहरूलाई अनिकालले नष्ट गर्नेछ । एक तिहाइचाहिं तँलाई घेरा हालेका तरवारले मर्नेछन् । तब एक तिहाइलाई चाहिं म चारैतिर तितरबितर पार्नेछु, र तिनीहरूलाई खेद्न तरवार पनि थुत्नेछु ।
One-third of your people will die inside the city because of the plagues [they will experience] or by (famine/lack of food). One-third of your people will be killed [your enemies’] swords outside the city. And one-third I will cause to be scattered in all directions; [your enemies] will [still] pursue you and kill you with their swords.
13 तब मेरो क्रोध पुरा हुनेछ, र तिनीहरूका विरुद्धमा भएको मेरो क्रोध शान्त हुनेछ । म सन्तुष्ट हुनेछु, र मेरो क्रोध शान्त भएपछि तिनीहरूले जान्नेछन् कि म परमप्रभुले नै मेरो क्रोधमा यो कुरा भनेको हुँ ।
Then I will no longer be angry with you; I will stop punishing [MTY] you after I have gotten revenge on you. And when I stop punishing you, you will know that I, Yahweh, have spoken to you because I have been very strongly concerned [what you have done].
14 तँलाई चारैतिरका जातिहरूका बिचमा र तेरो छेउबाट भएर जानेहरू हरेक व्यक्तिका दृष्टिमा तँलाई म उजाड र खिसीको पात्र बनाउनेछु ।
I will cause your [city] to be a ruins, with the result that [people of other] nations that are around you will pass by and see it and sneer at you.
15 यसैले यरूशलेम अन्य मानिसहरूको अघि घृणा, र खिसीको पात्र बन्नेछ र तेरा वरिपरीका जातिहरूका निम्ति चेतावनी र भयको पात्र बन्नेछ । म रिस, क्रोध र डरलाग्दो गालीसित तेरो न्याय गर्नेछु—म परमप्रभुले यो घोषणा गरेको हुँ ।
They will make fun of you and taunt you. When I severely punish you because of my being very angry [DOU] with you, they will be horrified and they will be warned. [That will surely happen because] I, Yahweh, have said it.
16 म तेरो विरुद्ध अनिकालको मेरा घातक र नष्टकारी काँणहरू छोड्नेछु, जुन तेरो सर्वनाशको कारण बन्नेछ । किनकि म तँमाथि अनिकाल बढाउनेछु र तेरो अन्नको मूल नै रोकिदिनेछु ।
When I cut off your food supply and cause there to be more famine, [it will be as though] [MET] I am shooting at you with my arrows that will destroy you.
17 तेरो विरुद्धमा म अनिकाल र प्रकोपहरू ल्याउनेछु, यसरी तँ बालकहिन हुनेछस् । रूढी र रक्तपात तेरो बिचबाट जानेछ, र म तेरो विरुद्ध तरवार ल्याउनेछु—म, परमप्रभुले नै यो घोषणा गरेको हुँ ।”
I will cause you to experience a famine, and I will send wild beasts to attack you and your children, and [all] your children will be killed. You will experience plagues and wars, and I will cause [your enemies] to attack you with their swords. [That will surely happen because] I, Yahweh, have said it.”
