इजकिएल 31
1 एघारौं वर्षको तेस्रो महिनाको पहिलो दिनमा परमप्रभुको वचन यसो भनेर मकहाँ आयो,
And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third month, on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
2 “ए मानिसको छोरा, मिश्रदेशको राजा फारो, र त्यसको वरिपरि भएका धेरै भीडलाई यसो भन्, ‘तेरो महान्तामा, तँ कोजस्तो छस्?
Son of man Say unto Pharaoh king of Egypt and unto his multitude, — Whom art thou like in thy greatness?
3 हेर्! लेबनानमा अश्शूर, सुन्दर हाँगाहरू भएको लेबनानको एउटा देवदारु थियो, जसले वनलाई छाया दियो, र त्यो उचाइमा सबैभन्दा अग्लो थियो, र त्यसका हाँगाहरू टुप्पोसम्म पुगेका थिए ।
Lo! Assyria, was a cedar in Lebanon, Beautiful in bough and Dense in foliage and Lofty in stature, — and Among the clouds, came to be his top:
4 धेरै पानीले त्यसलाई अग्लो बनायो । गहिरो पानीले त्यो विशाल भयो । त्यसको वरिपरिबाट नदीहरू बगे, र त्यसका धारहरू मैदानका सारा रूखहरूकहाँ फैलिए ।
The waters made him great, the roaring deep, made him high—with its currents going round about the place where it was planted, Its channels also, it sent forth unto all the trees of the field.
5 मैदानका अरू सबै रूखभन्दा त्यसको उचाइ धेरै थियो, र त्यसका हाँगाहरू धेरै भए । पानी प्रशस्त भएको कारणले त्यसका हाँगाहरू लामा-लामा भए ।
For this cause higher, was his stature than any of the trees of the field, -And multiplied were his boughs And lengthened were his branches, By reason of the mighty waters when he shot forth shoots.
6 आकाशका हरेक चराले त्यसका हाँगाहरूमा गुँड बनाए, र त्यसका शितल छहारीमा जमिनका सारा प्रानीले बच्चा जन्माए । धेरै जातिहरूका सबैले त्यसको छायामुनि बास गरे ।
Among his branches, all the birds of the heavens, made their nests, And under his boughs, all the wild beasts of the field, brought forth, — And, in his shade, dwelt all the mighty nations.
7 त्यसको महान्तामा त्यो सुन्दर थियो र त्यसका हाँगाहरू लामा-लामा थिए, किनकि त्यसका जराहरू प्रशस्त पानीमा थिए ।
Thus became he beautiful in his greatness, In the length of his waving branches, Because his root had gone towards mighty waters.
8 परमेश्वरका बगैंचाका देवदारुहरू पनि त्योबराबर थिएनन् । कुनै पनि सल्लाको रूखका हाँगाहरू त्यसकोझैं थिएनन्, र चिनारको रूख त्यसका हाँगाहरूसित दाँज्न सकिंदैनथ्यो । परमेश्वरको बगैंचामा त्यसको सुन्दरतासँग मेल गर्न सकिने कुनै अर्को रूख थिएन ।
Cedars hid him not. in the garden of God, Fir-trees were not like unto his boughs, Nor plane-trees, like his branches, —no, tree in the garden of God, was like unto him in his beauty.
9 मैले त्यसका धेरै हाँगासित त्यसलाई सुन्दर बनाएँ र परमेश्वरको बगैंचामा भएका अदनका सबै रूखले त्यसको डाह गर्थे ।
Beautiful, I made him in the abundance of his waving branches, - Therefore was he envied by all the trees of Eden, which were in the garden of God.
10 यसैकारण परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यस्तो भन्नुहुन्छ: त्यो उचाइमा अग्लो भएको कारण, र त्यसको टुप्पो त्यसका हाँगाहरूका बिचमा भएको हुनाले, आफ्नो उचाइको कारण त्यो घमण्डले फुल्यो ।
Therefore Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Because thou hast become lofty in stature, And he hath stretched his top among the clouds, And his heart is exalted in his loftiness.
11 त्यसको दुष्टताअनुसार त्यसलाई व्यवहार गरियोस् भनेर मैले त्यसलाई जातिहरूका बिचमा एउटा शक्तिशाली व्यक्तिको हातमा दिएको छु । मैले त्यसलाई बाहिर फालेको छु ।
Let me then deliver him into the hand of the chief of the nations, He shall effectually deal with him! According to his lawlessness, have I driven him out:
12 सारा जातिहरूका बिचमा आतङ्क ल्याउने विदेशीहरूले त्यसलाई काटेर ढाले र मर्नलाई छोडिदिए । पहाडहरू र सबै बेंसीतिर त्यसका हाँगाहरू खसे, र त्यसका ठुला-ठुला हाँगाहरू जमिनका खोल्साहरूमा भाँचिएर झरे । तब पृथ्वीका सारा जातिहरू त्यसको छायामुनिबाट बाहिर निस्के र तिनीहरू त्यसबाट टाढा गए ।
Therefore have foreigners the terrible of the nations cut him down. And abandoned him, — Upon the mountains and in all valleys, have fallen his waving branches And broken have been his boughs in all the river-beds of the land, And all the peoples of the earth have come down out of his shade. And abandoned him:
13 आकाशका सबै चरा त्यो ढलेको रूखको मुढोमाथि बसे, र जमिनका सबै पशु त्यसका हाँगाहरू भएको ठाउँमा आए ।
Upon his trunk, shall settle down all the birds of the heavens, - And among his boughs, are to be found all the wild beasts of the field: —
14 प्रशस्त पानीको छेउको त्यो अग्लो रूखभन्दा धेरै उचाइमा अरू कुनै रूखहरू नहून्, र त्यो उचाइसम्म पुग्नेगरी अरू कुनै रूख नबढून् भनेर यस्तो भयो । मृत्युमा जान, जमिनमा तल जान, मानिसका छोरा-छोरीध्ये खाडलमुनि जानेहरूसित जानलाई ती सबैलाई नियुक्त गरिएका छन् ।
To the end that none of the trees of the waters— May exalt themselves in their stature or stretch their top among the clouds, Nor their mighty ones take their stand in their height- any that drink of the waters, — Because they all, are delivered to death Unto the earth below. In the midst of the sons of Adam. Amongst them who descend into the pit.
15 परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यस्तो भन्नुहुन्छ: त्यो देवदारु चिहानमा गएको दिन, मैले पृथ्वीमा शोक ल्याएँ । मैले त्यसमाथि गहिरो पानीले ढाकें, र मैले समुद्रको पानी थुनें । मैले विशाल पानीलाई रोकें, र त्यसको कारण लेबनानमाथि मैले शोक ल्याएँ । यसैले त्यसको कारणले मैदानका सबै रूखले विलाप गरे । (Sheol h7585)
Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, In the day when he descended into hades, I caused a mourning. I covered over him the roaring deep, And restrained the currents thereof And stayed were the mighty waters, So caused I gloom over him unto Lebanon, And all the trees of the field for him were covered with a shroud. (Sheol h7585)
16 मैले त्यसलाई खाडलमा जानेहरूसँगै चिहानमा फ्याँकेपछि, त्यसको पतनको आवाजद्वारा मैले जातिहरूमा डर ल्याएँ । यसैले मैले पृथ्वीका तल्लो भागहरूमा अदनका सबै रूखलाई सान्त्वना दिएँ । यी लेबनानका चुनिएका र उत्कृष्ट रूखहरू थिए। ती प्रशस्त पानी पिएका रूखहरू थिए । (Sheol h7585)
At the sound of his fall, I made nations tremble, When I caused him to descend into hades, with them who descend into the pit, — Then were grieved in the earth below-All the trees of Eden, The choicest and best of Lebanon All who had drunk the waters. (Sheol h7585)
17 किनकि तिनीहरू त्योसँगै तरवारद्वारा मारिएकाहरूकहाँ तल चिहानमा गए । यी त्यसका बलिया पाखुरा, अर्थात् त्यसका छायामुनि बसेका जातिहरू थिए । (Sheol h7585)
Even they, with him descended into hades. Among them who were thrust through with the sword, - Even his seed who dwelt in his shade in the midst of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
18 अदनको कुन चाहिं रूख महिमा र महान्तामा तेरो बराबर थियो र? किनकि अदनका रूखहरूसँगै तँ खतना नभएकाहरूका बिचमा पृथ्वीका तल्ला भागहरूमा खसालिनेछस् । तरवारद्वारा मारिएकाहरूसँगै तँ रहनेछस् ।’ यो फारो र त्यसका सबै भीड हो, यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ ।”
Unto whom couldst thou be likened thus, in glory and in greatness, among the trees of Eden? Yet shalt thou be caused to descend with the trees of Eden into the earth below In the midst of the uncircumcised, shalt thou lie down With them who were thrust through by the sword, the same, is Pharaoh and all his multitude, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
