इजकिएल 20
1 सातौं वर्षको पाँचौं महिनाको दशौं दिनमा इस्राएलका धर्म-गुरुहरू परमप्रभुसित सोधपूछ गर्न आए र मेरो सामु बसे ।
And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth [month], the tenth of the month, [that] certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Jehovah, and they sat before me.
2 तब परमप्रभुको वचन यस भनेर मकहाँ आयो,
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
3 “ए मानिसको छोरो, इस्राएलका धर्म-गुरुहरूलाई घोषणा गर् र तिनीहरूलाई यसो भन्, ‘परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः के तिमीहरू मसित सोधपूछ गर्न आएका छौ? जस्तो म जीवित छु, तिमीहरूले मलाई सोधपूछ गर्नेछैनौ— यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो ।'
Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Are ye come to inquire of me? [As] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will not be inquired of by you.
4 के तँ तिनीहरूको न्याय गर्नेछस्? ए मानिसको छोरो, के तँ तिनीहरूको न्याय गर्नेछस्? तिनीहरूका आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूका घिनलाग्दा कामको बारेमा तिनीहरूलाई जानकारी दे ।
Wilt thou judge them, wilt thou judge, son of man? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers,
5 तिनीहरूलाई भन्, 'परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः जुन दिन मैले इस्राएललाई छानें, र याकूबको घरानासित शपथ खानलाई मैले हात उचाले र मैले आफूलाई मिश्रदेशमा तिनीहरूका बिचमा प्रकट गरें । जति बेला तिनीहरूसित शपथ खान मैले आफ्नो हात उचालें । मैले भनें, “म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर हुँ”—
and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up my hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up my hand unto them, saying, I [am] Jehovah your God,
6 त्यस दिन मैले तिनीहरूसित यो शपथ खाएँ, कि म तिनीहरूलाई मिश्रदेशबाट बाहिर निकालेर मैले तिनीहरूका निम्ति मैले होसियारीसाथ छानेको देशमा ल्याउनेछु । त्यहाँ दूध र मह बग्दैथियो । यो सबै देशहरूभन्दा बढी सुन्दर गहना थियो ।
in that day I lifted up my hand unto them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the ornament of all lands;
7 मैले तिनीहरूलाई भनें, “हरेक मानिसले आफ्ना दृष्टिबाट घिनलाग्दा कुराहरू र मिश्रदेशका मूर्तिहरू हटाओस् । आफूलाई अशुद्ध नपार । म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर हुँ ।”
and I said unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I [am] Jehovah your God.
8 तर तिनीहरूले मेरो विरुद्धमा विद्रोह गरे र मेरो कुरा सुन्न इच्छुक भएनन् । हरेक मानिसले आफ्ना दृष्टिबाट ती घिनलाग्दा कुराहरूलाई फालेनन् न त तिनीहरूले मिश्रदेशका मूर्तिहरूलाई नै त्यागे । यसैले मिश्रदेशको बिचमा तिनीहरूका माझमा मेरो क्रोध शान्त पार्नको निम्ति तिनीहरूमाथि मेरो रिस पोख्ने निश्चय मैले गरें ।
But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: none of them cast away the abominations of his eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I thought to pour out my fury upon them, so as to accomplish mine anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.
9 आफ्नो नाउँको खातिर मैले यो काम गरें, यसरी तिनीहरू बसोबास गरेका जातिहरूका दृष्टिमा मेरो नाउँ अपवित्र नहोस् । तिनीहरूलाई मिश्रदेशबाट बाहिर निकालेर ल्याएर मैले आफूलाई तिनीहरूका अघि प्रकट गरें ।
But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they were, in whose sight I had made myself known unto them in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
10 यसैले मैले तिनीहरूलाई मिश्रदेशबाट बाहिर निकालें र तिनीहरूलाई उजाड-स्थान ल्याएँ ।
And I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.
11 तब मैले तिनीहरूलाई मेरा विधिहरू दिएँ र मेरा नियमहरू तिनीहरूलाई प्रकट गरें । मानिसले ती पालन गर्यो भने त्यसद्वारा ऊ बाँच्नेछ ।
And I gave them my statutes, and made known unto them mine ordinances, which if a man do, he shall live by them.
12 म परमप्रभु नै हुँ जसले तिनीहरूलाई पवित्र पार्छु भनी तिनीहरूले जानून् भनेर तिनीहरू र मेरो बिचमा चिन्हको रूपमा मैले तिनीहरूलाई शबाथदिनहरू पनि दिएँ ।
And I also gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I [am] Jehovah that hallow them.
13 तर इस्राएल घरानाले उजाड-स्थान मेरो विरुद्धमा विद्रोह गरे । तिनीहरू मेरो विधिहरूमा चलेनन् । बरु, तिनीहरूले मेरा नियमहरूलाई इन्कार गरे । मानिसले ती पालन गर्यो भने त्यसद्वारा ऊ बाँच्नेछ । तिनीहरूले मेरा शबाथहरूलाई एकदमै बिटुलो पारे । यसैले मैले भनें, म तिनीहरूको नाश गर्नलाई यही उजाड-स्थान तिनीहरूमाथि आफ्नो क्रोध पोखाउनेछु ।
But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they rejected mine ordinances, which if a man do, he shall live by them; and my sabbaths they greatly profaned: and I said I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
14 तर जुन जातिहरूका दृष्टिमा मैले तिनीहरूलाई मिश्रदेशबाट बाहिर निकालेर ल्याएँ, तिनीहरूका दृष्टिमा मेरो नाउँ अपवित्र नहोस् भनेर मेरो नाउँको खातिर मैले काम गरें ।
But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out.
15 यसैले मैले तिनीहरूलाई दिन लागेको देशमा म तिनीहरूलाई लानेछैनँ भनेर तिनीहरूसित उजाड-स्थान एउटा शपथ खानलाई म आफैले पनि आफ्नो हात उठाएँ । त्यो देश सबै देशहरूभन्दा सुन्दर गहनाको दूध र मह बग्ने देश हो ।
And I also lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land that I had given [them], flowing with milk and honey, which is the ornament of all lands;
16 मैले यो शपथ खाएँ किनभने तिनीहरूले मेरा नियमहरूलाई इन्कार गरे र मेरा विधिहरूमा हिंडेनन्, र तिनीहरूले मेरा शबाथहरूलाई बिटुलो पारे, किनकि तिनीहरूका हृदय तिनीहरूका मूर्तिहरूका पछि लागेका थिए ।
because they rejected mine ordinances and walked not in my statutes, and profaned my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.
17 तर तिनीहरूको सर्वनाश हुनबाट मैले तिनीहरूमा दया गरें, र मैले उजाड-स्थान तिनीहरूको अस्तित्व मेटाइन ।
But mine eye spared them so as not to destroy them, neither did I make a full end of them in the wilderness.
18 उजाड-स्थान मैले तिनीहरूका छोराछोरीलाई भनें, “तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका विधिहरूमा नहिंड न त तिनीहरूका नियमहरू पालन गर, न त तिनीहरूका मूर्तिहरूले आफूलाई बिटुलो पार्ने काम गर ।
And I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk not in the statutes of your fathers, neither keep their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols.
19 म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर हुँ, मेरा विधिहरूमा हिंड, र मेरा नियमहरू मान र पालन गर ।
I [am] Jehovah your God: walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them;
20 मेरा शबाथहरूलाई पवित्र राख, ताकि मेरो र तिमीहरूका बिचमा ती एउटा चिन्ह हुनेछन्, ताकि म नै परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर हुँ भनी तिमीहरूले जान्नेछौ ।”
and hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I [am] Jehovah your God.
21 तर तिनीहरूका छोराछोरीले मेरो विरुद्धमा विद्रोह गरे । तिनीहरू मेरा उर्दीहरूमा हिंडेनन्, न त मेरा व्यवस्थाहरू पालन गरे । मानिसले ती पालन गर्यो भने त्यसद्वारा ऊ बाँच्नेछ । तिनीहरूले मेरा शबाथहरूलाई बिटुलो पारे, यसैले मेरो क्रोध शान्त पार्न मैले उजाड-स्थान आफ्नो रिस तिनीहरूका विरुद्धमा खन्याउने निश्चय गरें ।
And the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept mine ordinances to do them, which if a man do, he shall live by them; they profaned my sabbaths: and I said I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish mine anger against them in the wilderness.
22 तर मैले आफ्नो हात फर्काएँ, र मेरो नाउँको खातिर काम गरें यसरी मैले इस्राएलीहरूलाई निकालेर ल्याएको देखेका जातिहरूका दृष्टिमा त्यो अपवित्र नहोस् ।
But I withdrew my hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out.
23 तिनीहरूलाई म जातिहरूका बिचमा छरपष्ट पार्नेछु, र तिनीहरूलाई देशहरूमा तितरबितर पार्नेछु भनेर तिनीहरूसित उजाड-स्थान एउटा शपथ खानलाई म आफैले पनि आफ्नो हात उठाएँ ।
I lifted up my hand also unto them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations, and disperse them through the countries;
24 तिनीहरूले मेरा नियमहरू नमानेका हुनाले र तिनीहरूले मेरा विधिहरूलाई इन्कार गरेका र मेरा शबाथहरूलाई बिटुलो पारेका हुनाले मैले यसो गर्ने निर्णय गरें । तिनीहरूका आँखाहरूले आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूका मूर्तिहरूको लालसा गरे ।
because they performed not mine ordinances, and rejected my statutes, and profaned my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.
25 तब मैले तिनीहरूलाई यस्ता विधानहरू पनि दिएँ जो असल थिएनन्, र यस्ता नियमहरू दिएँ जसद्वारा तिनीहरू बाँच्न सकेनन् ।
And I also gave them statutes that were not good, and ordinances whereby they should not live;
26 तिनीहरूका उपहारहरूद्वारा मैले तिनीहरूलाई अशुद्ध घोषणा गरें— तिनीहरूले गर्भका हरेक जेठोको बलिदान चढाए र तिनीहरूलाई आगोमा हिंड्न लगाए—कि मैले तिनीहरूलाई त्रसित बनाउन सकूँ यसरी म परमप्रभु हुँ भनी तिनीहरूले जान्नेछन् ।’
and I defiled them by their own gifts, in that they devoted all that opened the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I [am] Jehovah.
27 यसकारण, ए मानिसको छोरो, इस्राएलका घरानासँग बोल् र तिनीहरूलाई भन्, 'परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः यसमा पनि तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरू मप्रति विश्वासघाती बनेर मेरो निन्दा गरे ।
Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In this moreover have your fathers blasphemed me, in that they have wrought unfaithfulness against me.
28 जब मैले शपथ खाएर तिनीहरूलाई दिन्छु भनेको देशमा मैले तिनीहरूलाई ल्याएँ, तब जहाँ तिनीहरूले कुनै अग्लो डाँडा वा कुनै झ्याम्म पातहरू भएको रूख देखे, त्यहाँ तिनीहरूले आफ्ना बलिदानहरू चढाए । अनि आफ्ना भेटीहरूद्वारा तिनीहरूले मलाई रिस उठाए, र त्यहाँ तिनीहरूले आफ्ना सुगन्धित धूप पनि बाले र आफ्ना अर्घ-बलि चढाए ।
When I had brought them into the land which I had lifted up my hand to give unto them, then they saw every high hill and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering; and there they placed their sweet savour, and there poured out their drink-offerings.
29 तब मैले तिनीहरूलाई सोधें, “तिमीहरूले भेटी चढाउने गरेको अग्लो ठाउँ के हो?” आजको दिनसम्म त्यो ठाउँलाई बामा भनिन्छ ।
And I said unto them, What is the high place whither ye go? And the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day.
30 यसकारण इस्राएलको घरानालाई यसो भन्: 'परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः तिमीहरू आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूका चालमा हिंडेर तिमीहरू आफूलाई पनि किन बिटुलो पार्छौ? घिनलाग्दा कुराहरूको खोजी गरेर किन तिमीहरू वेश्याहरूझैं काम गर्छौ?
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Do ye defile yourselves after the manner of your fathers? and do ye commit fornication after their abominations?
31 जब तिमीहरू आफ्ना उपहारहरू चढाउँछौ— जब तिमीहरू आफ्ना छोराहरूलाई आगोमा हिंड्न लगाउँछौ— तब आजको दिनसम्म पनि तिमीहरूले आफ्ना मूर्तिहरूको कारणले आफैलाई बिटुलो पार्छौ । यसैले ए इस्राएलको घराना, मसँग सोधपूछ गर्न मैले तिमीहरूलाई किन दिनु? जस्तो म जीवित छु— यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो— तिमीहरूले मलाई सोधपूछ गर्न म दिनेछैनँ ।
And when ye offer your gifts, making your sons to pass through the fire, ye defile yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day; and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? [As] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will not be inquired of by you.
32 तिमीहरूको मनमा उठेको विचार कहिले पुरा हुँनेछैन । तिमीहरू भन्छौ, “हामीहरू अरू जातिहरूजस्तै, काठ र ढुङ्गालाई पुज्ने अरू देशका जातिहरूजस्तै बनौं ।”
And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, in serving wood and stone.
33 जस्तो म जीवित छु— यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो— शक्तिशाली हात र पसारेको पाखुराद्वारा म तिमीहरूमाथि राज्य गर्नेछु र तिमीहरूमाथि क्रोध खन्याउनेछु ।
[As] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, verily with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, will I reign over you.
34 तिमीहरूलाई म अरू जातिहरूका बिचबाट निकालेर ल्याउनेछु, र तिमीहरू छरपष्ट भएका देशहरूबाट म तिमीहरूलाई भेला गर्नेछु । मेरो शक्तिशाली हातले म यसो गर्नेछु र क्रोध खन्याउनेछु ।
And I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out;
35 तब म तिमीहरूलाई जातिहरूको उजाड-स्थान ल्याउनेछु, र त्यहाँ म तिमीहरूको न्याय आमने-सामनेमा गर्नेछु ।
and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face.
36 जसरी मिश्रदेशको उजाड-स्थान मैले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूको न्याय गरें, त्यसरी नै म तिमीहरूको न्याय म गर्नेछु— यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो ।
Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, saith the Lord Jehovah.
37 म तिमीहरूलाई मेरो लौरो मुनि छिर्न लाउनेछु, र तिमीहरूलाई करारमा भएका कुराहरू मान्न लगाउनेछु ।
And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant.
38 तिमीहरूका माझबाट विद्रोह गर्नेहरू र मेरो विरुद्धमा अपराध गर्नेहरूलाई म हटाउनेछु । तिनीहरू प्रवासी भएर बसेको देशबाट म तिनीहरूलाई बाहिर पठाउनेछु, तर तिनीहरू इस्राएल देशमा पस्नेछैनन् । तब म नै परमप्रभु हुँ भनी तिमीहरूले जान्नेछौ ।
And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me; I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.
39 यसैले ए इस्राएलका घराना, परमप्रभु परमेश्वर तिमीहरूलाई यसो भन्नुहुन्छः तिमीहरू हरेक आ-आफ्नो मूर्तिहरूतिर जानुपर्छ । तिमीहरू मेरो कुरा सुन्न इन्कार गर्छौ भने तिनीहरूकै पुजा गर, तर आफ्ना उपहारहरू र मूर्तिहरूले मेरो पवित्र नाउँलाई तिमीहरूले अपवित्र पार्नुहुँदैन ।
As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Go ye, serve every one his idols henceforth also, if none of you will hearken unto me; but profane my holy name no more with your gifts and with your idols.
40 किनकि मेरो पवित्र पर्वतमा, इस्राएलको पहाडको टाकुरामा— यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो— इस्राएलका जम्मै घरानाले त्यहाँ मेरो आराधना गर्नेछन् । त्यहीं नै म तिमीहरूका भेटीहरू, तिमीहरूका सबैभन्दा उत्तम उपहारहरू, तिमीहरूका सबै पवित्र थोकहरूको बलिदानहरू ग्रहण गर्नेछु ।
For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah, there shall all the house of Israel serve me, the whole of it, in the land; there will I accept them, and there will I require your heave-offerings and the first-fruits of your offerings, with all your holy things.
41 जब म तिमीहरूलाई मानिसहरूबाट निकालेर ल्याउँछ र तिमीहरू छरपष्ट भएका देशहरूबाट तिमीहरूलाई भेला गराउनेछु, तब म तिमीहरूलाई बास्ना आउने धूपझैं ग्रहण गर्नेछु । जातिहरूका दृष्टिमा म तिमीहरूका बिचमा आफैलाई पवित्र प्रकट गर्नेछु ।
As a sweet savour will I accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be hallowed in you in the sight of the nations.
42 जब म तिमीहरूलाई इस्राएल देशमा ल्याउनेछु, जुन देश तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई दिन्छु भनी मैले आफ्ना हात उचालेर शपथ खाएको थिएँ, तब तिमीहरूले म नै परमप्रभु हुँ भनी जान्नेछौ ।
And ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have brought you into the land of Israel, into the country which I lifted up my hand to give to your fathers.
43 आफ्ना जुन व्यवहार र कामहरूले तिमीहरूले आफूलाई अशुद्ध पार्यौ, ती त्यहाँ तिमीहरूले सम्झनेछौ, र तिमीहरूले गरेका सबै दुष्ट कामहरूका निम्ति आफ्नै दृष्टिमा तिमीहरूले आफूलाई तुच्छ ठान्नेछौ ।
And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils which ye have committed.
44 यसरी, ए इस्राएलका घराना, तिमीहरूका दुष्ट कामहरू र तिमीहरूका भ्रष्टा कामहरूका कारणले होइन, तर मेरो नाउँको खातिर मैले तिमीहरूसित व्यवहार गर्दा, तिमीहरूले म नै परमप्रभु हुँ भनी जान्नेछौ— यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो'।”
And ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O house of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah.
45 तब परमप्रभुको वचन यसो भनेर मकहाँ आयो,
And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
46 ए मानिसको छोरो, आफ्नो अनुहार दक्षिण देशतिर फर्का र दक्षिणको विरुद्धमा बपल् । नेगेभको वनको विरुद्धमा अगमवाणी भन् ।
Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop [words] against the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field;
47 नेगेभको वनलाई भन्, 'यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो— परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः हेर्, म तेरो माझमा आगो सल्काउनेछु । त्यसले तेरा माझमा भएका हरेक हरिया रूख र हरेक सुकेका रूखलाई भष्म गर्नेछ । त्यो दन्केको ज्वाला निभाइनेछैन । दक्षिणदेखि उत्तरसम्मका हरेक अनुहार जल्नेछन् ।
and say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of Jehovah. Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flashing flame shall not be quenched; and all that it meets from the south to the north shall be burned thereby.
48 जब म आगो सल्काउँछु र त्यसलाई निभइनेछैन, तब हरेक प्रणीले म परमप्रभुले हुँ भनी देख्नेछ ।’”
And all flesh shall see that I Jehovah have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.
49 तब मैले भने, “धिक्कार! हे परमप्रभु परमेश्वर, तिनीहरूले मलाई यसो भन्दैछन्, ‘के उसले उखानहरू मात्र भनेको होइन र'?”
And I said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?
