इजकिएल 14
1 इस्राएलका धर्म-गुरुमध्ये कोही मकहाँ आए र मेरो सामुन्ने बसे ।
Now certain men of the elders of Israel came to me, and sat before me.
2 तब परमप्रभुको वचन यसो भनेर मकहाँ आयो,
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
3 “ए मानिसको छोरो, यी मानिसहरूले आफ्ना मूर्तिहरूलाई आफ्ना हृदयमा राखेका छन्, र आफ्नो अधर्मका ठक्कर लाग्ने ढुङ्गा आफ्नै अनुहारका सामु राखेका छन् । के तिनीहरूले मेरो बारेमा सोध्न पाउँछन् र?
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and have put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their face; shall I hear them when they inquire of me?
4 यसकारण तिनीहरू यो कुरा घोषणा गर र तिनीहरूलाई यसो भन्, 'परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः इस्राएलका घरानाका हरेक मानिस जसले आफ्नो हृदयमा मूर्तिहरू राख्छन्, र आफ्नो अधर्मको ठक्कर लाग्ने ढुङ्गा आफ्नो अनुहारको सामुन्ने राख्छन्, र पनि अगमवक्ताकहाँ जान्छन्, म परमप्रभुले त्यसका मूर्तिहरूका संख्याअनुसार त्यसलाई जवाफ दिनेछु ।
Therefore speak with them, and say to them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet, —I, Jehovah, will answer him according to the multitude of his idols;
5 आफ्ना मूर्तिहरूको कारण आफ्ना हृदयहरू मबाट टाढा भएका इस्राएलका घरानालाई मैले फर्काउन सकौं भनेर म यसो गर्नेछु ।’
that I may lay hold of the house of Israel in their hearts, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.
6 यसकारण इस्राएलका घरानालाई यसो भन्, 'परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः पश्चात्ताप गर र आफ्ना मूर्तिहरूदेखि फर्क । सबै घिनलाग्दा कुराबाट आफ्ना मुख फर्काओ ।
Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Turn ye, even turn yourselves from your idols, and from all your abominations turn ye your faces!
7 किनकि इस्राएलका घरानाको हरेक व्यक्ति र इस्राएलमा बस्ने हरेक विदेशी व्यक्ति जसले मलाई त्याग्छ, जसले आफ्ना मूर्तिहरू आफ्ना हृदयमा राख्छ र आफ्नो अधर्मको ठक्कर लाग्ने ढुङ्गा आफ्नै अनुहारको सामु राख्छ, र त्यसपछि मलाई खोज्न कुनै अगमवक्ताकहाँ जान्छ, त्यसलाई म परमप्रभु आफैले जवाफ दिनेछु ।
For every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet to inquire of me through him, —I, Jehovah, will answer him by myself.
8 यसरी म आफ्नो मुख त्यस मानिसको विरुद्धमा लगाउनेछु, र त्यसलाई एउटा सङ्केत र उखानको पात्र बनाउनेछु, किनकि त्यसलाई म आफ्ना मानिसहरूका बिचदेखि बहिष्कार गर्नेछु र म नै परमप्रभु हुँ भनी तिमीहरूले जान्नेछौ ।
And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
9 कुनै एक जना अगमवक्ता छलमा पर्छ र यस्तो सन्देश भन्छ भने, म परमप्रभुले त्यस अगमवक्ता छलमा पार्नेछु । म आफ्ना हात त्यसको विरुद्धमा पसार्नेछु, र मेरो मानिस इस्राएलको बिचबाट त्यसलाई नाश गर्नेछु ।
And when the prophet is deceived when he speaketh anything, I, Jehovah, have deceived that prophet; and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
10 तिनीहरूका आफ्ना अपराध तिनीहरूले बोक्नेछन् । अगमवक्ताको अपराधचाहिं र उसँग सल्लाह लिनेको अपराधजस्तै हुनेछ ।
And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity; the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that inquireth of him;
11 यसकारण, इस्राएलका घरानाले मलाई पछ्याउनदेखि फेरि कहिल्यै बरालिनेछैनन् न त आफ्ना सबै पापहरूले तिनीहरूले फेरि कहिल्यै आफैलाई अपवित्र पार्नेछन् । तिनीहरू मेरा मानिसहरू हुनेछन् र म तिनीहरूका परमेश्वर हुनेछु । यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो ।’”
that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, nor be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord Jehovah.
12 तब परमप्रभुको वचन यसो भनेर मकहाँ आयो,
Again the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
13 “ए मानिसको छोरो, कुनै देशले पाप गरेर मेरो विरुद्धमा पाप गर्छ, ताकि त्यसको विरुद्धमा आफ्नो हात पसारें र त्यसको खाद्य भण्डार म नाश गरें, र अनिकाल ल्याएँ र मानिस र पशु दुवैलाई नाश गरें भने,
Son of man, when a land sinneth against me, and grievously transgresseth, and I stretch out my hand against it, and break the staff of its bread, and send famine upon it, and cut off from it man and beast,
14 तब नोआ, दानिएल र अय्यूब, यी तिन जना मानिसहरू त्यहाँ भए भने पनि तिनीहरूले आफ्नो धार्मिकताद्वारा आफ्नै प्राण मात्र बचाउन सक्छन् । यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो ।
though these three men were in it, Noah, Daniel, and Job, they should deliver only themselves by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.
15 मैले त्यस देशमा जङ्गली जनावरहरू पठाएँ, र तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई बाँझो तुल्याए र त्यो देश उजाड भयो, जहाँ जनावरहरूका कारणले कुनै मानिस गएन भने,
When I cause wild beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, and it be desolate so that none passeth through it because of the beasts,
16 तब यी तिन जना मानिस त्यहाँ भए भने पनि, जस्तो म जीवित छु, परमप्रभु परमेश्वर घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ, तिनीहरूले आफ्नै छोराछोरीलाई पनि बचाउन सक्दैनन् । तिनीहरूका आफ्नो जीवन मात्र बाँच्नेछ, तर देशचाहिं उजाड हुनेथियो ।
though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only should be delivered, but the land should be desolate.
17 अथवा मैले त्यस देशको विरुद्धमा तरवार ल्याएँ र यसो भनें, 'ए तरवार, देशभरि जा र त्यहाँबाट मानिसहरू र जनावरहरू दुवैलाई काट् ।'
Or when I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land so that I cut off from it man and beast,
18 तब यी तिन जना मानिस त्यो दैशको बिचमा भए भने पनि, जस्तो म जीवित छु, परमप्रभु परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ, तिनीहरूले आफ्ना छोराछोरीलाई बचाउन सक्दैनन् । तिनीहरूका आफ्नो जीवन मात्र बाँच्नेछ ।
though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only should be delivered themselves.
19 अथवा मैले यो देशको विरुद्धमा रूढी पठाएँ र रगत बगाएर त्यसका मानिसहरू र पशुहरूलाई मारेर मैले आफ्नो क्रोध पोखाएँ भने,
Or when I send a pestilence upon that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast,
20 तब नोआ, दानिएल र अय्यूब त्यो देशमा भए भने पनि, जस्तो म जीवित छु, परमप्रभु परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ, तिनीहरूले आफ्ना छोराछोरीलाई बचाउन सक्दैनन् । तिनीहरूले आफ्नो धार्मिकताद्वारा आफ्नै प्राण मात्र बचाउन सक्छन् ।
though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter; they should deliver only themselves by their righteousness.
21 किनकि परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः यरूशलेमको विरुद्धा मेरा चारवटा दण्डहरू— तरवार, अनिकाल, जङ्गली पशुहरू र रूढी पठाएर, त्यहाँका मानिस र पशुहरू दुवैलाई देशबाट नाश गरेर म धैरै खराब तुल्याउनेछु ।
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: How much more, when I send my four grievous judgments against Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the wild beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?
22 तापनि हेर्, त्यसमा कोही बाँकी हुनेछन्, र बचेकाहरू आफ्ना छोराहरू र छोरीहरूका साथमा बाहिर निस्केर जानेछन् । हेर्, तिनीहरू बाहिर तिमीहरूकहाँ आउनेछन्, र तिमीहरूले तिनीहरूका चालहरू र कामहरू हेर्नेछौ, र मैले यरूशलेममा ल्याएका ती दण्ड र देशको विरुद्ध मैले ल्याएका सबै कुराबाट तिमीहरूलाई सान्त्वना हुनेछ ।
Yet behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, sons and daughters. Behold, they shall come forth to you, and ye shall see their way and their doings, and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil which I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all which I have brought upon her.
23 बाँचेकाहरूका चाल र कामहरू देखेर तिमीहरूले सान्त्वना पाउनेछौ, यसरी मैले त्यसको विरुद्धमा गरेका यी सबै कुरा, र ती मैले व्यर्थमा गरिनँ भनी तिमीहरूले जान्नेछौ । यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो ।
They shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings; and ye shall know that not without cause I have done all that I have done to her, saith the Lord Jehovah.
