प्रस्थान 7
1 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “हेर्, मैले तँलाई फारोको निम्ति ईश्वरजस्तै बनाएको छु । तेरो दाजु हारून तेरो अगमवक्ता हुनेछ ।
Yahweh said to Moses, “See, I have made you like a god to Pharaoh. Aaron your brother will be your prophet.
2 मैले तँलाई आज्ञा गरेको हरेक कुरो तैँले भन्नू । फारोको देशबाट इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई जान दिइयोस् भन्नाका लागि तेरो दाजु हारूनले फारोसित बोल्नेछ ।
You will say everything that I command you to say. Aaron your brother will speak to Pharaoh so that he will let the people of Israel go from his land.
3 तर म फारोको ह्रदय कठोर पार्नेछु, र मिश्र देशमा मेरो शक्तिमा धेरै चिन्हहरू, अचम्मका कामहरू देखाउनेछु ।
But I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and I will display many signs of my power, many wonders, in the land of Egypt.
4 तर फारोले तेरो कुरा सुन्नेछैन । त्यसैले म मेरो हात मिश्रमाथि पसारी ठुला-ठुला दण्डका क्रियाकलापहरूद्वारा मेरा योद्धाहरू, मेरो जाति र इस्राएलका सन्तानहरूलाई मिश्रदेशबाट निकालेर ल्याउनेछु ।
But Pharaoh will not listen to you, so I will put my hand on Egypt and bring out my groups of fighting men, my people, the descendants of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great acts of punishment.
5 मैले मिश्रमाथि मेरो हात पसारेर इस्राएलीहरूलाई तिनीहरूका बिचबाट ल्याएपछि म नै परमप्रभु हुँ भनी मिश्रीहरूले जान्नेछन् ।”
The Egyptians will know that I am Yahweh when I reach out with my hand on Egypt and bring out the Israelites from among them.”
6 परमप्रभुले आज्ञा गर्नुभएझैँ मोशा र हारूनले गरे ।
Moses and Aaron did so; they did just as Yahweh commanded them.
7 फारोसित कुरा गर्दा मोशा असी वर्षका थिए भने हारून त्रियासी वर्षका थिए ।
Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.
8 परमप्रभुले मोशा र हारूनलाई भन्नुभयो,
Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron,
9 “फारोले तिमीहरूलाई 'आश्चर्यकर्म गर्' भन्दा तैँले हारूनलाई भन्नू, 'तपाईंको लट्ठी लिएर त्यसलाई फारोको सामुन्ने फ्याँक्नुहोस् अनि त्यो सर्प बन्नेछ' ।”
“When Pharaoh says to you, 'Do a miracle,' then you will say to Aaron, 'Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh, so that it may become a snake.'”
10 तब मोशा र हारून फारोकहाँ गए, र परमप्रभुले आज्ञा गर्नुभएझैँ तिनीहरूले गरे । हारूनले फारो र तिनका अधिकारीहरूका सामु आफ्नो लट्ठी फ्याँके र त्यो सर्प भयो ।
Then Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh, and they did just as Yahweh had commanded. Aaron threw down his staff before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a snake.
11 तब फारोले आफ्ना बुद्धिमानी मानिस र टुनामुना गर्नेहरूलाई डाके । तिनीहरूका जादुद्वारा तिनीहरूले पनि उही कुरो गरे ।
Then Pharaoh also called for his wise men and sorcerers. They did the same thing by their magic.
12 हरेक मानिसले आ-आफ्नो लट्ठी फ्याँके र ती लट्ठीहरू सर्प बने । तर हारूनको लट्ठीले तिनीहरूका सर्पहरूलाई निलिदियो ।
Each man threw down his staff, and the staffs became snakes. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their snakes.
13 फारोको ह्रदय कठोर पारियो, र परमप्रभुले पहिले भन्नुभएझैँ तिनले उनीहरूका कुरा सुनेनन् ।
Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen, just as Yahweh had foretold.
14 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “फारोको ह्रदय कठोर छ, त्यसले मानिसहरूलाई जान दिन इन्कार गर्छ ।
Yahweh said to Moses, “Pharaoh's heart is hard, and he refuses to let the people go.
15 फारो नदीतिर जाने बेलामा बिहानै त्यसकहाँ जा । त्यसलाई भेट्न नदीको तटमा उभेर बस् र सर्प बनेको लट्ठी तेरो हातमा लिएर जा ।
Go to Pharaoh in the morning when he goes out to the water. Stand on the riverbank to meet him, and take in your hand the staff that had turned into a snake.
16 त्यसलाई भन्, 'हिब्रूहरूका परमेश्वर परमप्रभुले मलाई तपाईंकहाँ यसो भनेर पठाउनुभएको छ, 'मेरो जातिलाई जान दे ताकि तिनीहरू उजाड-स्थानमा गएर मेरो आराधना गर्न सकून् । तैँले अहिलेसम्म मानेको छैनस् ।'
Say to him, 'Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you to say, “Let my people go, so that they may worship me in the wilderness. Until now you have not listened.”
17 परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, 'यसद्वारा म परमप्रभु हुँ भनी तैँले थाहा पाउनेछस् । मेरो हातमा भएको यस लट्ठीले म नील नदीको पानीलाई प्रहार गर्नेछु र नदी रगतमा परिणत हुनेछ ।
Yahweh says this: “By this you will know that I am Yahweh. I am going to strike the water of the Nile River with the staff that is in my hand, and the river will be turned to blood.
18 नदीमा भएका माछाहरू मर्नेछन्, र नदी गन्हाउनेछ । मिश्रीहरूले नदीबाट पानी पिउन सक्नेछैनन् ।'
The fish that are in the river will die, and the river will stink. The Egyptians will not be able to drink water from the river.”'”
19 तब परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “हारूनलाई भन्, 'तेरो लट्ठी लिई मिश्रका पानी, नदीहरू, खोलाहरू, तालहरू र पोखरीहरूमा तेरो हात पसार् र ती पानी रगत बन्नेछन् । यसो गर् ताकि मिश्र देशभरि जताततै रगत होस्, यहाँसम्म कि काठ र ढुङ्गाहरूका भाँडाकुँडाहरूमा पनि रगत होस्' ।”
Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, 'Take your staff and reach out with your hand over the waters of Egypt, and over their rivers, streams, pools, and all their ponds, so that their water may become blood. Do this so that there will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, even in containers of wood and stone.'”
20 परमप्रभुले आज्ञा गर्नुभएझैँ मोशा र हारूनले गरे । हारूनले लट्ठी उठाएर फारो र तिनका अधिकारीहरूका सामुन्ने त्यसलाई नदीमा पसारे । सबै पानी रगतमा परिणत भए ।
Moses and Aaron did as Yahweh commanded. Aaron raised the staff and struck the water in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh and his servants. All the water in the river turned to blood.
21 नदीका माछाहरू मरे र पानी गन्हाउन थाल्यो । मिश्रीहरूले नदीको पानी पिउन सकेनन्, र मिश्र देशैभरि जताततै रगतै-रगत थियो ।
The fish in the river died, and the river began to stink. The Egyptians could not drink water from the river, and the blood was everywhere in the land of Egypt.
22 तर मिश्रका जादुगरहरूले पनि आफ्नो जादुद्वारा त्यसै गरे । त्यसकारण परमप्रभुले भन्नुभएझैँ फारोको ह्रदय कठोर भयो र तिनले मोशा र हारूनको कुरा सुनेनन् ।
But the magicians of Egypt did the same thing with their magic. So Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he refused to listen to Moses and Aaron, just as Yahweh had said would happen.
23 तब फारो फर्केर आफ्नो घर गए । तिनले यसमा ध्यान पनि दिएनन् ।
Then Pharaoh turned and went into his house. He did not even pay attention to this.
24 सबै मिश्रीले पिउने पानीको लागि नदीको वरिपरि खने, तर तिनीहरूले नदीकै पानी भने पिउन सकेनन् ।
All the Egyptians dug around the river for water to drink, but they could not drink the water of the river itself.
25 परमप्रभुले नदीमा आक्रण गर्नुभएको सात दिन भएको थियो ।
Seven days passed after Yahweh had attacked the river.
