एफिसि 2
1 तिमीहरू त आफ्ना अपराधहरू र पापहरूमा मरेका थियौ ।
[Unto] you also—being dead by your offences and sins,
2 यस संसारको रीतिअनुसार तिमीहरू यस्ता कुराहरूमा एकपल्ट हिँडेका थियौ । आकाशको शक्तिको शासक अनुसार तिमीहरू हिँडेका थियौ । यो त्यसको आत्मा हो, जो अनाज्ञाकारीताका सन्तानहरूमा काम गर्दछ । (aiōn g165)
In which at one time ye walked, according to the age of the world, according to the prince of the authority of the air, of the spirit that now energiseth in the sons of disobedience, (aiōn g165)
3 हामी एकपल्ट यी सबै अविश्वासीहरू सँगै थियौँ । हाम्रो शरीरको खराब इच्छा अनुसार हामी चल्थ्यौँ र शरीर र मनका इच्छा अनुसार काम गर्ने गर्थ्यौँ । हामी अरू मानिसहरू जस्तै स्वभावले क्रोधका सन्तान थियौँ ।
Among whom also, we all, had our behaviour, at one time, in the covetings of our flesh, doing the things desired by the flesh and the mind, and were children, by nature, of anger—even as the rest, —
4 तर परमेश्वरले आफ्नो महान् प्रेमले हामीलाई प्रेम गर्नुभएको कारण उहाँ दयामा धनी हुनुहुन्छ ।
But, God, being rich in mercy, by reason of the great love wherewith he loved us,
5 जब हामी आफ्ना अपराधहरूमा मरेका थियौँ, उहाँले हामी सबैलाई सँगै ख्रीष्टमा नयाँ जीवनमा ल्याउनुभयो । उहाँको अनुग्रहद्वारा तिमीहरू बचाइएका छौ ।
Although we were dead by our offences, gave us life together with the Christ, —by favour, ye have been saved, —
6 ख्रीष्ट येशूमा हामीलाई परमेश्वरले उठाउनुभएको छ र स्वर्गीय स्थानहरूमा उहाँसँगै बसाल्नुभएको छ ।
And raised us up together, and seated us together in the heavenlies, in Christ:
7 आउँदा दिनहरूमा उहाँको अनुग्रहको प्रशस्तता हामीलाई प्रकट गराउने हेतुले उहाँले यसो गर्नुभयो । ख्रीष्ट येशूमा उहाँको दयाद्वारा उहाँले यो देखाउनुहुन्छ । (aiōn g165)
That he might point out, in the oncoming ages, the surpassing riches of his favour in graciousness upon us, in Christ Jesus; (aiōn g165)
8 किनकि तिमीहरू अनुग्रहबाट विश्वासद्वारा बचाइएका छौ, र यो तिमीहरूबाट आएको होइन तर यो परमेश्वरको उपहार हो ।
For, by his favour, have ye been saved, through means of faith, and this [hath come to pass] —not from you, of God, the free-gift!
9 कामहरूबाट यो होइन, यसैकारण कसैले घमण्ड गर्न सक्दैन ।
Not from works, lest anyone should boast.
10 किनकि हामीहरू परमेश्वरले धेरै पहिले देखि नै योजना गर्नुभएको असल काम गर्नको निम्ति र हामीहरू ती बमोजिम हिडौँ भनेर ख्रीष्ट येशूमा सृजना गरिएका उहाँको हातका सिप हौँ ।
His, in fact we are—his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus upon a footing of good works, which God prepared beforehand, that, therein, we might walk.
11 त्यसकारण यो कुरा सम्झ, कि एक समय तिमीहरू शरीरमा गैरयहूदीहरू थियौ । मानिसहरूका हातहरूबाट शरीरमा खतना भएकाहरूले तिमीहरूलाई “बेखातनाको” भनेर बोलाउँथे ।
Wherefore, keep in remembrance—that, at one time, ye, the nations in flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by the so-called Circumcision in flesh, made by hand,
12 किनकि त्यो समयमा तिमीहरू ख्रीष्टबाट अलगिएका थियौ । इस्राएलका मानिसहरूका निम्ति तिमीहरू परदेशी थियौ । तिमीहरू प्रतिज्ञाका करारबाट बिराना थियौ । तिमीहरूको भविष्यको कुनै निश्चयता थिएन । तिमीहरू परमेश्वर बिना यस संसारमा थियौ ।
That ye were, in that season, separate from Christ, alienated from the citizenship of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and godless in the world;
13 तिमीहरू एक समय परमेश्वरबाट टाढा भएकाहरू, अब येशू ख्रीष्टको रगतद्वारा ख्रीष्ट येशूमा परमेश्वरसँग नजिक ल्याइएका छौ ।
But, just now, in Christ Jesus, ye, who at one time were afar off, were made nigh in the blood of the Christ;
14 किनकि उहाँ हाम्रो शान्ति हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँले दुईलाई एक बनाउनुभयो । हामीलाई एक अर्कामा विभाजन गर्ने शत्रुताका पर्खालहरू उहाँको शरीरद्वारा भत्काइएका छन् ।
He, in fact, is our peace—who made both one, and, the enclosing middle-wall, took down,
15 अर्थात्, उहाँमा नै एउटा नयाँ मानिस सृष्टि गर्न, उहाँले नियमहरू र आज्ञाहरूका कानुनलाई खारेज गरिदिनुभयो । उहाँले मिलाप गराउनुभयो ।
The enmity, in his flesh—the law of commandments in decrees—bringing to nought, —that, the two, he might create in himself, into one man of new mould, making peace.
16 उहाँको क्रूसद्वारा दुई मानिसलाई परमेश्वरमा शरीरमा एक बनाउनको निम्ति उहाँले यो गर्नुभयो । क्रुससँगै उहाँले शत्रुतालाई नाश गर्नुभयो ।
And might fully reconcile them both, in one body, through means of the cross, —slaying the enmity thereby; —
17 येशू आउनुभयो र धेरै टाढा र नजिक भएकाहरूलाई उहाँले शान्तिको घोषणा गर्नुभयो ।
And, coming, he announced the glad-message—of peace, unto you, the far off, and peace, unto them that were nigh;
18 किनकि येशूद्वारा हामी दुवै एउटै आत्मामा पिताकहाँ जान सक्छौँ ।
Because, through him, we have our introduction—we both—in one Spirit, unto the Father.
19 त्यसकारण, तिमी यहूदीहरू कोहीपनि नौलो मानिस वा परदेशी छैनौ । तर सबै परमेश्वरको निम्ति अलग गरिएकाहरू सँगै उहाँको राज्यको सँगी नागरिकहरू हौ र परमेश्वरको परिवारका सदस्यहरू हौ ।
Hence, then—no longer, are ye strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens of the saints, and members of the household of God, —
20 तिमीहरू प्रेरित र अगमवक्ताहरूको जग माथि बसालेर निर्माण गरिएका हौ । ख्रीष्ट येशू आफैँ कुने-ढुङ्गो हुनुहुन्छ ।
Having been built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, there being, for chief corner stone, Jesus Christ himself, —
21 येशू ख्रीष्टमा उहाँको सारा निर्माण मिल्दै जान्छ र प्रभुमा एउटै मन्दिरको रूपमा बढ्दै जान्छ ।
In whom, an entire building, in process of being fitly joined together, is growing into a holy shrine in [the] Lord;
22 अनि उहाँमा नै तिमीहरू पनि पवित्र आत्मामा परमेश्वरको वासस्थानको रूपमा सँगै निर्माण भइरहेका छौ ।
In whom, ye also, are being builded together, into a habitation of God in Spirit.
