व्यवस्था 6

1 अब यर्दन पारि गई तिमीहरूले अधिकार गर्न लागेको देशमा तिमीहरूले पालन गरून् भनी परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरले तिमीहरूलाई सिकाउन भनी मलाई दिनुभएका आदेश र विधिविधानहरू यिनै हुन् ।

Now this is the mitzvot ·instructions·, the statutes, and the judgments, which Adonai your God enjoined to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it;

2 तिमीहरूको आयु लामो होस् भनेर तिमीहरू, तिमीहरूका छोराछोरीहरू, तिमीहरूका नातिनातिनाहरूले जीवनभरि परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरको आदर गर्नू र उहाँका सबै विधान र आज्ञा मान्‍नू ।

that you might fear Adonai your God, to keep all his statutes and his mitzvot ·instructions·, which I enjoin you; you, and your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.

3 त्यसकारण, हे इस्राएल हो, तिनलाई सुन र पालन गर ताकि परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूका परमेश्‍वरले तिमीहरूलाई प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएको दूध र मह बग्‍ने देशमा तिमीहरूको भलो होस् र तिमीहरू गुणात्मक रूपमा वृद्धि हुन सक ।

Sh'ma ·Hear understand obey· therefore, Israel [God prevails], and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as Adonai, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.

4 हे इस्राएल हो, सुनः पमरप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वर एउटै हुनुहुन्छ ।

Sh'ma ·Hear obey·, Israel [God prevails]: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is echad ·one, one unity·.

5 तिमीहरूले पमरप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरलाई आफ्नो सारा ह्रदय, सारा प्राण र सारा शक्तिले प्रेम गर्नू ।

You shall את 'ahav ·affectionately love· Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.

6 आज मैले तिमीहरूलाई आज्ञा गरेका यी वचनहरू तिमीहरूका हृदयमा राख ।

These words, which I enjoin you today, shall be on your heart;

7 अनि तिमीहरूले आफ्ना छोराछोरीहरूलाई ती मेहनतसाथ सिकाउनू । तिमीहरू आफ्ना घरमा बस्दा, बाटोमा हिँड्दा, सुत्दा र उठ्दा तिमीहरूले तिनकै चर्चा गर्नू ।

and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.

8 तिमीहरूले चिन्हको रूपमा तिनलाई हातमा बाँध्‍नू र तिमीहरूका आँखाका बिचमा तिनले पट्टको काम गरून् ।

You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.

9 तिमीहरूले तिमीहरूका घरका चौकोस र ढोकाहरूमा ती लेख्‍नू ।

You shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates.

10 परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरले तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरू अर्थात् अब्राहाम, इसहाक र याकूबसित तिमीहरूलाई दिन्छु भनी शपथ खानुभएको तिमीहरूले नबनाएका अनि ठुला

It shall be, when Adonai your God brings you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham [Father of a multitude], to Isaac [Laughter], and to Jacob [Supplanter], to give you, great and goodly cities, which you didn’t build,

11 र ज्यादै राम्रा-राम्रा सहरहरू भएको देशमा ल्याउनुहुँदा जहाँ तिमीहरूले नबनाएका सबै किसिमका असल थोकहरूले घरहरू भरिपूर्ण हुने छन्, तिमीहरूले नखनेका इनारहरू हुने छन् र तिमीहरूले नरोपेका दाखबारी र जैतूनका रुखहरू हुने छन्, ती तिमीहरूले खाने छौ र तृप्‍त हुने छौ,

and houses full of all good things, which you didn’t fill, and cisterns dug out, which you didn’t dig, vineyards and olive trees, which you didn’t plant, and you shall eat and be full;

12 तब तिमीहरूलाई मिश्र देश अर्थात् दासत्वको देशबाट ल्याउनुहुने परमप्रभुलाई नबिर्सन होसियार होओ ।

then beware lest you forget Adonai, who brought you out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], out of the house of bondage.

13 परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरको आदर गर्नू; उहाँको मात्र आराधना गर्नू र उहाँको नाउँमा शपथ खानू ।

You shall fear Adonai your God; and you shall abad ·serve· him, and shall swear by his name.

14 तिमीहरूका वरिपरि भएका जाति-जातिहरूका देवी-देवताहरूको पछि नलाग्‍नू,

You shall not go after other deities, of the deities of the peoples who are around you;

15 किनकि तिमीहरूका बिचमा रहनुहुने परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर डाही परमेश्‍वर हुनुहुन्छ । तिमीहरूले त्यसो गर्‍यौ भने परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरको क्रोध तिमीहरूका विरुद्धमा दन्कने छ र उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई पृथ्वीको धूलोबाट नष्‍ट पार्नुहुने छ ।

for Adonai your God among you is El Kana' [Jealous God]; lest the anger of Adonai your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.

16 मस्साहमा परीक्षा गरेझैँ परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरको परीक्षा नगर्नू ।

You shall not tempt Adonai your God, as you tempted him in Massah [Testing].

17 तिमीहरूलाई आज्ञा गर्नुभएका परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरका आज्ञाहरू, उहाँका गम्भीर आदेशहरू र उहाँका विधिहरू दत्तचित्तसाथ पालन गर्नू ।

You shall diligently keep the mitzvot ·instructions· of Adonai your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has enjoined you.

18 तिमीहरूले परमप्रभुको दृष्‍टिमा जे ठिक र असल छ, त्यही गर्नू ताकि तिमीहरूको भलो होस् र परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूसित शपथ खानुभएको देशमा गएर यसको अधिकार गर्न सक,

You shall do that which is right and good in Adonai’s sight; that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land which Adonai swore to your fathers,

19 अनि परमप्रभुले भन्‍नुभएझैँ तिमीहरूले तिमीहरूका सबै शत्रुहरूलाई धपाउन सक ।

to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as Adonai has spoken.

20 भावी दिनमा तिम्रो छोराले, 'परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरले तपाईंलाई दिनुभएका करारका आदेशहरू, विधिविधानहरू के-के हुन्?' भनी सोध्दा

Some day when your child asks you in time to come, saying, “What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the judgments, which Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] has enjoined you mean?”

21 तिमीले आफ्नो छोरोलाई भन्‍नू, 'हामी मिश्रमा फारोका कमाराहरू थियौँ । परमप्रभुले हामीलाई शक्तिशाली हातद्वारा मिश्रबाट ल्याउनुभयो,

then you shall tell your child, “We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt [Abode of slavery]. Adonai brought us out of Egypt [Abode of slavery] with a mighty hand;

22 र उहाँले हाम्रा आँखाकै सामु मिश्रमा फारो र तिनका सबै घरानामाथि महान् र डरलाग्दा चिन्हसाथै आश्‍चर्यहरू देखाउनुभयो ।

and Adonai showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt [Abode of slavery], on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes;

23 उहाँले हामीलाई त्यहाँबाट बाहिर ल्याउनुभयो ताकि हाम्रा पुर्खाहरूसित शपथ खानुभएको देशभित्र उहाँले हामीलाई ल्याउन सक्‍नुभएको होस् ।

and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to our fathers.

24 परमप्रभुले सधैँ यी सबै विधिविधान मान्‍न, हाम्रो भलाइको लागि परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरको भय मान्‍न हामीलाई आज्ञा दिनुभएको छ ताकि आजजस्तै उहाँले हामीलाई जीवित राख्‍नुभएको होस् ।

Adonai enjoined us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God], for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are today.

25 हामीले उहाँले हामीलाई आज्ञा गर्नुभएझैँ परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरको सामु यी सबै आज्ञा मान्यौँ भने यो हाम्रो धार्मिकता हुने छ ।'

It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all this mitzvot ·instructions· before Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God], as he has enjoined us.”
