व्यवस्था 23
1 लिङ्ग किचिएको वा काटिएको मानिसलाई परमप्रभुको सभामा प्रवेश गर्न निदनू ।
He that is wounded in the testicles, or hath his privy member cut, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord.
2 कुनै अवैध बच्चा परमप्रभुको सभामा प्रवेश गर्नुहुँदैन । त्यसको दस पुस्तासम्म त्यसको कोही सन्तान पनि परमप्रभुको सभामा प्रवेश गर्नुहुँदैन ।
One born from prohibited connections shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even the tenth generation of him shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord.
3 अम्मोनी वा मोआबी परमप्रभुको सभामा प्रवेश गर्नुहुँदैन । त्यसको दस पुस्तासम्म त्यसको कोही सन्तान पनि परमप्रभुको सभामा प्रवेश गर्नुहुँदैन ।
An 'Ammonite and a Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even the tenth generation of him shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord, for ever;
4 किनकि तिमीहरू मिश्रबाट आउँदा बाटोमा तिनीहरूले रोटी र पानी लिएर तिमीहरूलाई भेट्न आएका थिएनन्, र तिमीहरूको विरुद्धमा श्राप दिन तिनीहरूले पतोरमा बस्ने बओरका छोरा बालामलाई भाडामा लिएका थिए ।
For the reason, that they met you not with bread and with water on the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because he hired against thee Bil'am the son of Beor of Pethor in Mesopotamia, to curse thee;
5 तर परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले बालामको कुरा सुन्नुभएन । बरु, तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले श्रापलाई आशिष्मा परिणत गरिदिनुभयो किनकि तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई प्रेम गर्नुहुन्थ्यो ।
But the Lord thy God would not hearken unto Bil'am; and the Lord thy God changed unto thee the curse into a blessing, because the Lord thy God loved thee.
6 तिमीहरूका जीवनभर तिमीहरूले तिनीहरूका शान्ति वा उन्नतिको खोजी नगर्नू ।
Thou shalt not seek their peace and their welfare all thy days, for ever.
7 तिमीहरूले कुनै एदोमीलाई तिरस्कार नगर्नू । कुनै मिश्रीलाई घृणा नगर्नू किनकि तिमीहरू त्यसको देशमा परदेशी थियौ ।
Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother; thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.
8 तिनीहरूबाट जन्मेका तेस्रो पुस्ताका सन्तानहरू परमप्रभुको सभामा पस्न सक्छन् ।
The children that are born unto them in the third generation, may enter of them into the congregation of the Lord.
9 तिमीहरू आफ्ना शत्रुहरूको विरुद्धमा युद्धमा जाँदा तिमीहरूले आ-आफूलाई दुष्ट कुराहरूबाट अलग राख ।
When thou goest forth into camp against thy enemies, then keep thyself from every evil thing.
10 तिमीहरूका बिचमा रातम कुनै पुरुष स्वप्न-दोषको कारणले गर्दा अशुद्ध भएको छ भने त्यो सेनाको छाउनीबाट बाहिर जाओस् र छाउनीमा फर्केर नआओस् ।
If there be among thee any man, that is not clean by reason of an occurrence by night; then shall he go abroad to without the camp, he shall not come within the camp;
11 साँझ परेपछि त्यसले पानीले नुहाओस् । सूर्य अस्ताएपछि त्यो छाउनीमा आओस् ।
But it shall be, that toward evening he shall bathe himself in water; and when the sun goeth down, he may come into the midst of the camp.
12 छाउनीबाहिर तिमीहरूका लागि एउटा ठाउँ हुनुपर्छ ।
And a place shalt thou have without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:
13 खन्नका लागि तिमीहरूसित सामग्रीहरू हुनुपर्छ । दिसा बसिसकेपछि खाल्डो खनेर दिसा पुरिदिनू ।
And a spade shalt thou have with thy weapons: and it shall be, when thou sittest abroad, that thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt afterward cover that which cometh from thee;
14 किनकि परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई विजय दिन र तिमीहरूका शत्रुहरूलाई तिमीहरूका हातमा दिन उहाँ तिमीहरूको छाउनीको बिचमा हिँडडुल गर्नुहुन्छ । त्यसकारण, तिमीहरूको छाउनी पवित्र हुनुपर्छ ताकि तिमीहरूका बिचमा कुनै अशुद्ध कुरा देखेर उहाँ तिमीहरूका बिचबाट तर्केर नजानुभएको होस् ।
For the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee and to give up thy enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy; that he see no unseemly thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
15 आफ्नो मालिकबाट भागेर आएको कमारालाई त्यसको मालिककहाँ नफर्काउनू ।
Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant who may escape unto thee from his master;
16 त्यसले जुनसुकै सहर छाने तापनि त्यसलाई तिमीहरूसँगै बस्न दिनू । त्यसलाई थिचोमिचो नगर्नू ।
With thee shall he dwell, in the midst of thee, in the place which he may choose in any one of thy gates, where it seemeth best to him: thou shalt not oppress him.
17 इस्राएलीका छोरीहरू र छोराहरूका बिचमा कसैले पनि मन्दिरको वेश्यावृत्तिमा काम नगरोस् ।
There shall not be a prostitute of the daughters of Israel, and there shall not be a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
18 तिमीहरूले कुनै भाकलको निम्ति वेश्यावृत्तिको ज्याला वा कुकुरको ज्याला परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरको भवनमा नल्याउनू । किनकि यी दुवै परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरका लागि घृणित कुराहरू हुन् ।
Thou shalt not bring the hire of a harlot, or the price of a dog, into the house of the Lord thy God for any vow; for both of these are equally an abomination unto the Lord thy God.
19 ब्याज प्राप्त गर्न सकिने रुपियाँ-पैसा, भोजन वा अन्य कुनै पनि कुरो आफ्नो इस्राएली भाइलाई ऋणस्वरूप दिँदा त्यसबाट ब्याज नलिनू ।
Thou shalt not take interest from thy brother, interest of money, interest of victuals, interest of any thing that is lent upon interest:
20 परदेशीबाट भने तिमीहरूले ब्याज लिन सक्छौ । तर आफ्नो इस्राएली भाइबाट भने तिमीहरूले ब्याज लिनुहुँदैन । यसरी परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई तिमीहरूले अधिकार गर्न लागेको देशमा तिमीहरूको हात परेको हरेक थोकमा आशिष् दिनुभएको होस् ।
From an alien thou mayest take interest; but from thy brother thou shalt not take interest; in order that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the acquisition of thy hand, in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
21 तिमीहरूले परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरलाई भाकल गर्दा यसलाई पुरा गर्न विलम्ब नगर किनकि परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूबाट यो चाहनुहुन्छ । भाकल पुरा नगर्नु पाप हो ।
When thou makest a vow unto the Lord thy God, thou shalt not delay to pay it; for the Lord thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.
22 तर भाकलै गरेका छैनौ भने यो तिमीहरूका लागि पाप हुँदैन ।
But if thou forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.
23 परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरलाई तिमीहरूले भाकल गरेअनुसार वा तिमीहरूका मुखले स्वैच्छापूर्वक प्रतिज्ञा गरेअनुसार तिमीहरूका मुखबाट निस्केको कुरा पुरा गर्नुपर्छ ।
What is gone out of thy lips shalt thou keep and perform, as thou hast vowed unto the Lord thy God voluntarily, as thou hast spoken with thy mouth.
24 तिमीहरू आफ्नो छिमेकीको दाखबारीमा जाँदा इच्छा लागेअनुसार चाहेजति दाख खान सक्छौ, तर आफ्नो टोकरीमा भने नहाल ।
When thou comest into thy neighbor's vineyard, thou mayest eat grapes at thy own pleasure, till thou have enough; but into thy vessel shalt thou not put any.
25 तिमीहरू आफ्नो छिमेकीको अन्न पाकेको खेतमा जाँदा तिमीहरूले आफ्ना हातले अन्नका बाला टिप्न सक्छौ, तर पाकेको बालीमा हँसिया नलगाओ ।
When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbor, thou mayest pluck ears with thy hand; but a sickle shall thou not move over thy neighbor's standing corn.
