< आमोस 7 >

1 परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वरले मलाई यो कुरा देखाउनुभयो । हेर, बसन्‍त ऋतुको बाली मौलाउनै लाग्‍दा, उहाँले सलहको बथान तयार गर्नुभयो, अनि हेर, योचाहिं राजाको कटनी पछिको बाली थियो ।
This is what the Lord GOD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts just after the king’s harvest, as the late spring crop was coming up.
2 जब तिनीहरूले भूमिको बालीनाली खाएर सके, अनि त्‍यसपछि मैले भनें, “परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वर, कृपया क्षमा गर्नुहोस् । याकूब कसरी बाँच्‍नेछ? किनकि त्यो त धेरै सानो छ ।”
And when the locusts had eaten every green plant in the land, I said, “Lord GOD, please forgive! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
3 परमप्रभु यस विषयमा नरम हुनुभयो । उहाँले भन्‍नुभयो, “यस्तो हुनेछैन ।”
So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen,” He said.
4 अनि परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वरले मलाई यस्तो देखाउनुभयोः हेर, परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वरले न्याय गर्नलाई आगो बोलाउनुभयो । त्यसले पृथ्वीमुनिको गहिरो विशाल पानीलाई सुकायो र त्यसले जमिनलाई पनि भष्‍म पार्न सक्थ्यो ।
This is what the Lord GOD showed me: The Lord GOD was calling for judgment by fire. It consumed the great deep and devoured the land.
5 तर मैले भनें, “परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वर, कृपया रोक्‍नुहोस् । याकूब कसरी बाँच्‍नेछ? किनकि त्यो त धेरै सानो छ ।”
Then I said, “Lord GOD, please stop! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
6 परमप्रभु यस विषयमा नरम हुनुभयो । परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वरले भन्‍नुभयो, “यो पनि हुनेछैन ।”
So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen either,” said the Lord GOD.
7 उहाँले मलाई यो कुरा देखाउनुभयोः हेर, परमप्रभु हातमा साहुल लिएर एउटा पर्खालको छेउमा उभिनुभयो ।
This is what He showed me: Behold, the Lord was standing by a wall true to plumb, with a plumb line in His hand.
8 परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “आमोस, तैंले के देखिस्?” मैले भनें, “एउटा साहुल ।” परमप्रभुले भन्‍नुभयो, “हेर, इस्राएलका मेरा मानिसहरूका बिचमा म एउटा साहुल राख्‍नेछु । म तिनीहरूलाई अब बाँकी छोड्नेछैनँ ।
“Amos, what do you see?” asked the LORD. “A plumb line,” I replied. “Behold,” said the Lord, “I am setting a plumb line among My people Israel; I will no longer spare them:
9 इसहाकका उच्‍च ठाउँहरू नष्‍ट पारिनेछन्, इस्राएलका पवित्र स्थानहरू तहस-नहस पारिनेछन्, र म तरवार लिएर यारोबामको घरानाको विरुद्ध खडा हुनेछु ।”
The high places of Isaac will be deserted, and the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with My sword.”
10 तब बेथेलका पुजारी अमस्‍याहले इस्राएलका राजा यारोबामलाई यो सन्देश पठाएः “इस्राएलको घरानाको बिचमा आमोसले तपाईंको विरुद्धमा षड्‌यन्‍त्र रचेको छ । यस देशले त्यसका सबै बोली सहन सक्‍दैन ।
Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words,
11 किनकि आमोसले यसो भन्‍यो, ‘यारोबाम तरवारद्वारा मर्नेछ, र इस्राएल निश्‍चय नै आफ्नो देशबाट टाढा निर्वासनमा जानेछ ।’”
for this is what Amos has said: ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
12 अमस्‍याहले आमोसलाई भने, “ए दर्शी, दौडेर यहूदाको देशमा जाऊ, र त्यहाँ रोटी खाऊ अनि अगमवाणी गर ।
And Amaziah said to Amos, “Go away, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah; earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.
13 तर यहाँ बेथेलमा अरू धेरै अगमवाणी नगर, किनकि यो राजाको पवित्र-स्थान र एउटा राजकीय घराना हो ।”
But never prophesy at Bethel again, because it is the sanctuary of the king and the temple of the kingdom.”
14 अनि आमोसले अमस्‍याहलाई भने, “म अगमवक्ता होइनँ, न त अगमवक्ताका छोरा हुँ । म त एउटा गोठालो हुँ, र म त अन्जीरका रूखहरूको रेखदेख गर्छु ।
“I was not a prophet,” Amos replied, “nor was I the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman and a tender of sycamore-fig trees.
15 तर परमप्रभुले मलाई बगालको हेरचाह गर्नबाट पर लानुभयो र मलाई भन्‍नुभयो, ‘जा, मेरा मानिस, इस्राएलको निम्ति अगमवाणी गर ।’
But the LORD took me from following the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’
16 अब परमप्रभुको वचन सुन । तिमी भन्छौ, ‘इस्राएलको विरुद्धमा अगमवाणी नगर, र इसहाकको घरानाको विरुद्धमा नबोल ।’
Now, therefore, hear the word of the LORD. You say: ‘Do not prophesy against Israel; do not preach against the house of Isaac.’
17 यसकारण परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, ‘तेरी पत्‍नी सहरमा वेश्‍या हुनेछे, तेरा छोराहरू र तेरा छोरीहरू तरवारद्वारा मारिनेछन्, तेरो देश नापिनेछ र विभाजन गरिनेछ, तँ एउटा अशुद्ध देशमा मर्नेछस्, र इस्राएल निश्‍चय नै आफ्नो देशबाट निर्वासनमा जानेछ ।’”
Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be divided by a measuring line, and you yourself will die on pagan soil. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
