आमोस 6
1 सियोनमा आरामसित बस्नेहरूलाई धिक्कार, र सामरियाको पहाडी मुलुकमा सुरक्षित भएकाहरू, जातिहरूका उत्कृष्टहरूमध्ये विशिष्ट मानिसहरू, जसकहाँ इस्राएलको घराना सहायताको निम्ति आउँछन् ।
Woe to them that set at nought Sion, and that trust in the mountain of Samaria: they have gathered [the harvest of] the heads of the nations, and they have gone in themselves.
2 तिमीहरूका अगुवाहरू यसो भन्छन्, “कल्नेहमा जाओ र हेर । त्यहाँबाट महान् सहर हामातमा जाओ, अनि त्यसपछि पलिश्तीहरूको गातमा जाओ । के तिमीहरूका दुई राज्यभन्दा ती असल छन् र? के तिनका सिमाना तिमीहरूका सिमानाभन्दा ठुलो छ?”
O house of Israel, pass by all [of you], and see; and pass by thence to Ematrabba; and thence descend to Geth of the Philistines, the chief of all these kingdoms, [see] if their coasts are greater than your coasts.
3 विनाशको दिनलाई पन्छाउने मानिसहरू, र हिंसाको सिंहासनलाई नजिक तुल्याउनेहरूलाई धिक्कार ।
Ye who are approaching the evil day, who are drawing near and adopting false sabbaths;
4 तिनीहरू हस्तिहाडको ओछ्यानमा सुत्छन् र आ-आफ्ना पलङ्हरूमा आराम गर्छन् । तिनीहरू बगालबाट भेडाका पाठाहरू र गोठबाट बाछाहरू खान्छन् ।
who sleep upon beds of ivory, and live delicately on their couches, and eat kids out of the flocks, and sucking calves out of the midst of the stalls;
5 तिनीहरू वीणाको सङ्गीतमा मूर्खताका गीतहरू गाउँछन्, दाऊदले झैं तिनीहरू बाजाहरूले नयाँ सङ्गीत बनाउँछन् ।
who excel in the sound of musical instruments; they have regarded them as abiding, not as fleeting [pleasures];
6 तिनीहरू कचौराबाट दाखमद्य पिउँछन् र उत्तम तेलहरूले आफूलाई अभिषेक गर्छन्, तर योसेफको विनाशमा तिनीहरू शोक गर्दैनन् ।
who drink strained wine, and anoint themselves with the best ointment; and have suffered nothing on occasion of the calamity of Joseph.
7 यसैले सुरुमा निर्वासित हुनेहरूसँगै तिनीहरू निर्वासित हुनेछन्, र मोज-मज्जा गर्नेहरूको भोजको अन्त हुनेछ ।
Therefore now shall they depart into captivity from the dominion of princes, and the neighing of horses shall be cut off from Ephraim.
8 “म, परमप्रभुले आफैंसित यो प्रतिज्ञा गरेको छु — यो परमप्रभु सर्वशक्तिमान् परमेश्वर घोषणा हो, म याकूबको घमण्डलाई घृणा गर्छु, म त्यसका किल्लाहरूलाई घृणा गर्छु । यसकारण म त्यो सहरमा भएका सबै थोकसँगै त्यसलाई सुम्पिदिनेछु ।”
For the Lord has sworn by himself, [saying], Because I abhor all the pride of Jacob, I do also hate his countries, and I will cut off [his] city with all who inhabit it.
9 यस्तो हुनेछ कि एउटा घरमा दश जना मानिस बाँकी छन् भने तिनीहरू सबै मर्नेछन् ।
And it shall come to pass, if there be ten men left in one house, that they shall die.
10 जब कुनै मानिसको आफन्त तिनीहरूका लासहरू निकाल्न आउँछ— जसले ती लासहरू घरबाट बाहिर निकालेर तिनलाई जलाउँछ— उसले त्यस घरमा भएको मानिसलाई सोध्छ, “के तिमीसँग अरू कोही बाँकी छ?” तब त्यो मानिसले भन्छ, “छैन ।” त्यसपछि उसले भन्नेछ, “चुप लाग, किनकि हामीले परमप्रभुको नाउँ लिनुहुँदैन ।”
But a remnant shall be left behind, and their relations shall take them, and shall strenuously endeavor to carry forth their bones from the house: and one shall say to the heads of the house, Is there yet [any one] else with thee? And he shall say, No [one] else. And [the other] shall say, Be silent, that thou name not the name of the Lord.
11 किनकि, हेर, परमप्रभुले एउटा आज्ञा दिनुहुनेछ, र ठुलो घर टुक्रा-टुक्रा हुनेछ, र सानो घरचाहिं धूलोपिठो हुनेछ ।
For, behold, the Lord commands, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with rents.
12 के घोडाहरू ठाडो चट्टानहरूमा दौडन्छन् र? के कसैले त्यहाँ गोरू जोत्छ? तापनि तिमीहरूले न्यायलाई विष अनि धार्मिकताको फललाई तिक्ततामा परिणत गरेका छौ ।
Will horses run upon rocks? will they refrain from neighing at mares? for ye have turned judgment into poison, and the fruit of righteousness into bitterness:
13 लो-देबारको पराजयमा आनन्द मनाउनेहरू, जसले भन्छन्, “के हामीले आफ्नै शक्तिले कार्नैमलाई लिएनौं र?”
ye who rejoice at vanity, who say, Have we not possessed horns by our own strength?
14 “तर ए इस्राएलका घराना, हेर, म तिमीहरूका विरुद्धमा एउटा जातिलाई खडा गर्नेछु— परमप्रभु सर्वशक्तमान् परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो । तिनीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई लेबो-हमातदेखि अराबाको खोलासम्मै पीडा दिनेछन् ।”
For behold, O house of Israel, I will raise up against you a nation, saith the Lord of hosts; and they shall afflict you so that ye shall not enter into Aemath, and as it were [from] the river of the wilderness.
