आमोस 4
1 ए बाशानका गाईहरू, यो वचन सुन, तिमीहरू जो सामरियाको पहाडमा बस्छौ, तिमीहरू जसले गरिबहरूलाई थिचोमिचो गर्छौ, तिमीहरू जसले दरिद्रहरूलाई कुल्चिन्छौ, तिमीहरू जसले आफ्ना पतिहरूलाई भन्छौ, “हामीलाई मद्य ल्याउनुहोस्” ।
Hear ye this word, ye heifers of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, —who say to their lords, Bring in, and let us drink!
2 परमप्रभुले आफ्नो पवित्रताद्वारा प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएको छ, “हेर, तिमीहरूमाथि यस्ता दिनहरू आउनेछन् जति बेला तिमीहरूलाई तिनीहरूले अंकुसेले, र तिमीहरूमध्ये अन्तिम बचेकाहरूलाई बल्छीले लैजानेछन् ।
Sworn hath My Lord, Yahweh, by his own holiness, That lo! days, are coming upon you, —when he will take you away with hooks, and your followers with fishhooks;
3 तिमीहरू सहरका पर्खालका धाँदाहरूका बिचबाट जानेछौ, तिमीहरू हरेक व्यक्ति सिधै त्यहाँबाट जानेछौ, र तिमीहरू हर्मोनतिर फालिनेछौ —यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।”
And, through fissures, shall ye go out, every woman, straight before her, —and ye shall be thrust forth towards the castle, Declareth Yahweh.
4 “बेथेलमा जाओ र पाप गर, गिलगालमा जाओ अनि धेरै पाप बढाओ, हरेक बिहान आफ्ना बलिदानहरू, हरेक तिन दिनमा आफ्ना दशांशहरू ल्याओ ।
Enter ye Bethel, and transgress, At Gilgal, cause transgression, to abound, —Yea, carry in, every morning, your sacrifices, every three days, your tithes;
5 रोटीले धन्यवादको बलिदान अर्पण गर, स्वइच्छा भेटीको घोषणा गर । तीबारे घोषणा गर, किनकि यस कुराले तिमीहरू, इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई खुसी तुल्याउँछ, — यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो ।
Yea, burn thou incense, of that which is leavened, as a thank-offering, and proclaim ye freewill-offerings, let them be known, —for, so, ye love [to have it], ye sons of Israel, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.
6 मैले तिमीहरूका सबै सहरहरूमा तिमीहरूका भोको पेट दिएँ र तिमीहरूका सबै ठाउँहरूमा रोटीको अभाव पारें । तापनि तिमीहरू मकहाँ फर्केका छैनौ —यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।”
Moreover also, I, have given you cleanness of teeth throughout all your cities, and want of bread throughout all your dwelling-places, —Yet have ye not returned unto me, Declareth Yahweh.
7 फसल काट्नलाई तिन महिना बाँकी हुँदा नै मैले पनि तिमीहरूबाट वर्षालाई रोकें । एउटा सहरमा मैले पानी पर्न दिएँ र अर्को सहरमा मैले पानी पर्न दिइनँ । जमिनको एक भागमा पानी पर्यो, तर जमिनको जुन भागमा पानी परेन त्यो सुक्यो ।
Moreover also, I, have withholden from you the abundant rain, when yet there were only three mouths to the harvest, Or I might rain upon one city, and, on another city, might not rain, —One portion, would be rained upon, and, the portion whereupon it should not rain, would be dried up;
8 दुई वा तिनवटा सहर पानी पिउनको निम्ति अर्को सहरतर्फ धर्मराउँदै हिंडे, तर तृप्त भएनन् । तापनि तिमीहरू मतर्फ फर्केका छैनौ —यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
Then would two or three cities totter to one city to drink water, without being satisfied, —Yet have ye not returned unto me, Declareth Yahweh.
9 डढुवा र ओसले मैले तिमीहरूलाई कष्ट दिएँ । तिमीहरूका असङ्ख्य बगैँचाहरू, तिमीहरूका दाखबारीहरू, तिमीहरूका नेभाराका रूखहरू, र जैतूनका रूखहरू, सलहले ती सबैलाई सखाप पारे । तापनि तिमीहरू मतर्फ फर्केका छैनौ —यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
I have smitten you with blight and with mildew, When your gardens and your vineyards and your fig-trees and your olive-trees have increased, the creeping locust would devour them, —Yet have ye not returned unto me, Declareth Yahweh.
10 मैले मिश्रमा झैं तिमीहरूका बिचमा विपत्ति पठाएँ । तिमीहरूका जवान मानिसहरूलाई मैले तरवारले मारें, तिमीहरूका घोडाहरूलाई लिएर गएँ, र तिमीहरूका छाउनीको दुर्गन्ध तिमीहरूको नाकसम्म आउने पारें । तापनि तिमीहरू मतर्फ फर्केका छैनौ —यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
I have sent among you pestilence, in the manner of Egypt, I have slain, with the sword, your young men, and therewith have been taken captive your horses, And I have caused to ascend—the stench of your camps, even into your own nostrils, Yet ye have not returned unto me, Declareth Yahweh.
11 मैले तिमीहरूका बिचमा भएका सहरहरू नाश पारें, जसरी परमेश्वरले सदोम र गमोरालाई नाश पार्नुभएको थियो । तिमीहरू आगोबाट बाहिर तानिएका अगुल्टाहरूझैं थियौ । तापनि तिमीहरू मतर्फ फर्केका छैनौ —यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
I have made an overthrew among you, like the divine overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye have become like a brand snatched out of the burning, —Yet hate ye not returned unto me, Declareth Yahweh.
12 त्यसैले, ए इस्राएल, म तेरो बिचमा केही डरलाग्दो कुरा गर्नेछु । र मैले तिमीहरूका बिचमा केही डरलाग्दो गर्ने हुनाले, ए इस्राएल, आफ्नो परमेश्वरलाई भेट्न तयार हो!
Therefore, thus, will I do unto thee, O Israel, —Because this thing I will do unto thee, Prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
13 किनकि, हेर, जसले पहाडहरू बनाउनुहुन्छ, उहाँले नै बतास पनि सृष्टि गर्नुहुन्छ, आफ्ना विचारहरू मानिसजातिकहाँ प्रकट गर्नुहुन्छ, बिहानको उज्यालोलाई अन्धकार बनाउनुहुन्छ, र पृथ्वीका उच्च ठाउँहरूलाई कुल्चिनुहुन्छ । परमप्रभु, सर्वशक्तिमान् परमेश्वर, उहाँको नाउँ हो ।”
For lo! He that fashioned the mountains, and created the wind, and who telleth the son of earth what is his thought, who turneth dawn into darkness, and marcheth upon the high places of the earth, Yahweh, God of hosts, is his name!
