आमोस 1
1 तकोका गोठालामध्ये एक जना आमोसले इस्राएलका विषयमा प्रकाशमा पाएका कुराहरू यी नै हुन् । भुकम्प जानुभन्दा दुई वर्षअगाडि यहूदाका राजा उज्जियाहका दिनमा, र येहोआशका छोरा इस्राएलका राजा यारोबामका दिनमा पनि तिनले यी कुराहरू प्राप्त गरे ।
These are the things concerning Israel that Amos, one of the shepherds in Tekoa, received in revelation. He received these things in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and also in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
2 तिनले भने, “परमप्रभु सियोनबाट गर्जनुहुनेछ । उहाँले यरूशलेमबाट आफ्नो आवाज उठाउनुहुनेछ । गोठालाहरूका खर्कहरू सुक्नेछन् । कार्मेलको टाकुरो ओइलाउनेछ ।”
He said, “Yahweh will roar from Zion; he will raise his voice from Jerusalem. The pastures of the shepherds will dry up; the top of Carmel will wither.”
3 परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः “दमस्कसका तिन वा चारवटा पापका निम्ति समेत, दण्ड दिनबाट म पछि हट्नेछैनँ, किनभने तिनीहरूले गिलादलाई फलामका औजारहरूले नाश पारे ।
This is what Yahweh says: “For three sins of Damascus, even for four, I will not turn away punishment, because they threshed Gilead with instruments of iron.
4 हजाएलको घरानामा म आगो पठाउनेछु, र त्यसले बेन-हददका किल्लाहरू भस्म पार्नेछ ।
I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, and it will devour the fortresses of Ben Hadad.
5 म दमस्कसका मूल ढोकाका गजबारहरू भाँच्नेछु र आवन उपत्यकामा राज्य गर्नेलाई, र बेथ-अदनमा राजदण्ड लिनेलाई समेत म टुक्राटुक्रा पार्नेछु । अरामका मानिसहरू निर्वासित भएर कीरमा जानेछन्,” परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
I will break the gate bars of Damascus and cut off the man who rules over the Valley of Aven, and also the man who holds the scepter in Beth Eden. The people of Aram will go in captivity to Kir,” says Yahweh.
6 परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “गाजाका तिन वा चारवटा पापका निम्ति समेत, दण्ड दिनबाट म पछि हट्नेछैनँ, किनभने तिनीहरूले सम्पूर्ण मानिसलाई कैदी बनाएर, एदोमको हातमा सुम्पन लगे ।
This is what Yahweh says: “For three sins of Gaza, even for four, I will not turn away punishment, because they carried away captive a whole people, to hand them over to Edom.
7 गाजाका पर्खालहरूमा म आगो पठाउनेछु र त्यसले त्यसका किल्लाहरू भस्म पार्नेछ ।
I will send fire on the walls of Gaza, and it will devour her fortresses.
8 अश्दोदमा बस्ने मानिस, र अश्कलोनको राजदण्ड लिने मानिसलाई म टुक्राटुक्रा पार्नेछु । एक्रोनको विरुद्ध म आफ्ना हात उठाउनेछु, र बाँकी रहेका पलिश्तीहरू नाश हुनेछन्,” परमप्रभु परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ ।
I will cut off the man who lives in Ashdod and the man who holds the scepter from Ashkelon. I will turn my hand against Ekron, and the rest of the Philistines will perish,” says the Lord Yahweh.
9 परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः “टुरोसका तिन वा चारवटा पापका निम्ति समेत, दण्ड दिनबाट म पछि हट्नेछैनँ, किनभने तिनीहरूले सम्पूर्ण मानिसलाई एदोममा सुम्पेका छन्, र आफ्नो भ्रातृत्व करार तिनीहरूले तोडेका छन् ।
This is what Yahweh says: “For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not turn away punishment, because they had delivered up a whole people to Edom, and they broke their covenant of brotherhood.
10 टुरोसका पर्खालहरूमा म आगो पठाउनेछु, र त्यसले उसका किल्लाहरूलाई भस्म पार्नेछ ।”
I will send fire on the walls of Tyre, and it will devour her fortresses.”
11 परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्नुहुन्छ, “एदोमका तिन वा चारवटा पापका निम्ति समेत, दण्ड दिनबाट म पछि हट्नेछैनँ, किनभने त्यसले आफ्नो भाइलाई तरवारले खेद्यो, र सबै दयालाई त्यागिदियो । त्यसको रिस निरन्तर बढ्यो, र त्यसको क्रोध सदाको निम्ति रह्यो ।
This is what Yahweh says, “For three sins of Edom, even for four, I will not turn away punishment, because he pursued his brother with the sword and cast off all pity. His anger raged continually, and his wrath lasted forever.
12 तेमानमा म आगो पठाउनेछु, र त्यसले बोज्राका दरबारहरूलाई भस्म पार्नेछ ।”
I will send fire on Teman, and it will devour the palaces of Bozrah.”
13 परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “अम्मोनका तिन वा चारवटा पापका निम्ति समेत, दण्ड दिनबाट म पछि हट्नेछैनँ, किनभने तिनीहरूले आफ्नो सीमा बढाउन सकून् भनेर, गिलादका गर्भवती स्त्रीहरूका पेट चिरे ।
This is what Yahweh says, “For three sins of the people of Ammon, even for four, I will not turn away punishment, because they ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead, that they may enlarge their borders.
14 रब्बाका पर्खालहरूमा म आगो बाल्नेछु, र युद्धको दिनको चिच्याहट, र हुरीबतासमा हुने आँधीको दिनको, आवाज निकालेर दरबारहरूलाई भस्म पार्नेछ ।
I will light a fire in the walls of Rabbah, and it will devour the palaces, with a shout in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind.
15 तिनीहरूका राजा, त्योसँगै त्यसका अधिकारीहरू समेत कैदमा जानेछन्,” परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
