प्रेरित 27
1 जब हामीले इटालीको यात्रा गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने निर्णय गरियो, तिनीहरूले पावल र केही कैदीहरूलाई अगस्टसको फौजको कप्तान युलियसको जिम्मा लगाइदिए ।
Now, when it was determined that we should sail for Italy, they proceeded to deliver Paul, and certain other prisoners, unto a centurion by name Julius, of an Augustan band.
2 हामी एड्रामिटेनोसबाट जहाजमा चढ्यौँ, जुन एसियाको समुद्रीतट भएर जान लाग्दै थियो । त्यसैले, हामी समुद्रतिर गयौँ । माकेडोनियामा पर्ने थेसेलोनिकेका अरिस्तार्खस हामीसँगै गए ।
And, going on board a ship of Adramittium, about to sail unto the places along the coast of Asia, we put to sea, there being with us, Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica;
3 अर्को दिन हामी जहाजबाट सिदोन सहरमा उत्रियौँ, जहाँ युलियसले पावललाई दयापूर्ण व्यवहार गरे, र उनलाई उनका साथीहरूकहाँ जान अनुमति दिए ताकि उनले तिनीहरूबाट वास्ता पाउन सकून् ।
and, on the next day, we put into Zidon, —and Julius, treating Paul, kindly, gave him leave to go unto his friends and refresh himself;
4 त्यहाँबाट हामी समुद्रतिर लाग्यौँ, अनि बतासबाट सुरक्षित भएको साइप्रसको टापु नजिक जहाजमा यात्रा गर्यौँ, किनभने बतास हाम्रो विपरीत दिशाबाट चलेको थियो ।
and, from thence putting out to sea, we sailed under the lee of Cyprus, because the winds were contrary;
5 किलिकिया र पामफिलियाको नजिकैबाट जहाजमा यात्रा गर्दै हामी लुकिया सहरको माइरा आइपुग्यौँ ।
and, sailing across the sea which is off Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came down to Myra, a city of Lycia.
6 त्यहाँ सिपाहीका कप्तानले इटाली गइरहेको अलेक्जेन्ड्रियाको एउटा जहाज भेट्टाए । उनले हामीलाई त्यसमा चढाइदिए ।
And the centurion, there, finding a ship of Alexandria sailing for Italy, put us therein.
7 जब हामी धेरै दिन यात्रा गर्दै बिस्तारै र कष्टसाथ अन्तमा क्निडस नजिकै आइपुग्यौँ, बतासले हामीलाई त्यताबाट अगाडि बढ्न दिएन । त्यसैले, हामीले सल्मोनको सामुन्ने रहेको क्रेटको आड लिएर यात्रा गर्यौँ ।
And, for a good many days sailing slowly, and getting with difficulty over against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us to get on, we sailed under the lee of Crete, over against Salmone;
8 समुद्रीतट भएर लासिया सहरको नजिकै रहेको सुन्दर बन्दरगाह भन्ने ठाउँसम्म नपुगेसम्म हामीले कष्टसाथ यात्रा गर्यौँ ।
and, with difficulty coasting it, we came to a certain place called Fair Havens, near to which was the city of Lasea.
9 हामीले ज्यादै धेरै समय लगायौँ । यहूदी उपवासको समय पनि बितिसकेको थियो । सामुद्रिक यात्रा खतरनाक भएको थियो । त्यसैले, पावलले तिनीहरूलाई चेताउनी दिए,
And, when a considerable time had passed, and sailing was already dangerous, because, even the Fast, had already gone by, Paul began to advise,
10 र भने, “मानिसहरू हो, हामीले सुरु गर्न लागेको सामुद्रिक यात्रामा हाम्रा सामानहरू र जहाजलाई मात्र होइन, हामीलाई पनि ठुलो चोटपटक लाग्नेछ र नोक्सानी हुनेछ भन्ने म देख्छु ।”
saying to them—Sirs! I perceive that, with damage and great loss, not only of the cargo and of the ship, but even of our persons, shall the voyage certainly be attended.
11 तर सिपाहीका कप्तानले पावलले बोलेका कुरामा भन्दा जहाजका चालक र जहाजको मालिकको कुरामा बढ्ता ध्यान दिए ।
But, the centurion, by the master, and by the shipowner, was more persuaded than by the things which, by Paul, were spoken.
12 किनभने जाडो समयमा त्यो बन्दरगाहमा समय बिताउन सजिलो थिएन । त्यसैले, जहाज चालकहरूमध्ये धेरै जनाले जसरी भएपनि फोनिक्स सहरमा पुगेर जाडो बिताउनको लागि त्यहाँबाट यात्रा गर्न सल्लाह दिए । फोनिक्स क्रेटको एउटा बन्दरगाह हो, जुन उत्तर-पूर्व र दक्षिण-पूर्वपट्टि फर्केको छ ।
And, the harbour being, incommodious, to winter in, the more part, advised to put to sea from thence, if by any means they might be able to reach Phoenix, to winter, [which was] a harbour of Crete, looking north-east and south-east.
13 जब दक्षिणी बतास मन्द रूपले बहन थाल्यो, तब जहाज चालकहरूले जे चाहेका थिए त्यो प्राप्त गरे भनी उनीहरूले सोचे । त्यसकारण, तिनीहरूले लङ्गर निकाली समुद्रमा खसाले, र क्रेटको समुद्र किनार हुँदै यात्रा गरे ।
And, a south wind blowing softly, supposing they had secured their purpose, weighing anchor, they began to sail close in shore along Crete.
14 तर त्यसको केही समयपछि डरलाग्दो उत्तर-पूर्वी नामक तुफान चल्यो र त्यो सम्पूर्ण टापुभरि हामीमाथि बज्रन थाल्यो ।
But, after no long time, there beat down from it a tempestuous wind, called Euraquilo, —
15 जहाजले त्यस आँधीको सामना गर्न नसकेपछि हामीले हार मान्यौँ, र त्यसले जता लैजान्थ्यो, त्यतै गयौँ ।
and, the ship being caught and we not being able to bring her head to the wind, we let her go, and were borne along.
16 हामी क्लौडा नाउँ गरेको एउटा सानो टापुको सुरक्षित स्थान हुँदै लाग्यौँ, अनि बडो कष्टका साथ पानी जहाजमा रहेको सानो डुङ्गालाई जोगाउन सक्षम भयौँ ।
And, running under the lee, of some small island, called Cauda, we were able, with difficulty, to make ourselves masters of the boat, —
17 जब तिनीहरूले यसलाई माथि उचाले, त्यसपछि त्यसका डोरीहरू जहाजको मुख्य भागलाई बाँध्नको लागि प्रयोग गरे । हामीहरू सिरटिसको बलौटे धापमा फस्छौँ कि भनेर तिनीहरू डराएका थिए । त्यसैले, तिनीहरूले लङ्गरहरू झारिदिए, र जहाज आफैँ तैरन थाल्यो ।
which, hoisting up, they began to use, helps, under-girding the ship; and, fearing lest, on the sand-bank of Africa, they should run aground, lowering the gear, so, were they borne along.
18 हामी आँधीद्वारा धेरै धकेलियौँ । त्यसकारण, अर्को दिन जहाज चालकहरूले जहाजमा राखिएका समानहरू समुद्रमा फाल्न लागे ।
But, we being exceedingly tempest-tossed, on the next day, they began to throw [cargo] overboard;
19 तेस्रो दिन जहाज चालकहरूले जहाजलाई नियन्त्रण गर्न सामान पुन: फाले ।
and, on the third day, with their own hands, the tackling of the ship, they cast away.
20 जब धेरै दिनसम्म सूर्य र ताराहरू हाम्रामाझ चम्किएनन्, र ठुलो आँधी हामीमाथि बज्रिरह्य ो, तब हामीले बच्न सक्छौँ कि भन्ने आशा नै त्यागेका थियौँ ।
And, neither, sun nor stars, appearing for many days, and, no small tempest, lying upon us, in the end, all hope that we should be saved, began to be taken from us.
21 जब तिनीहरूले खानाविना धेरै दिन बिताइसकेका थिए, त्यसपछि पावल जहाज चालकहरूका माझमा खडा भए, र भने, “मानिसहरू हो, यो चोट र हानि नभोग्नलाई मेरो कुरा मानेर क्रेटबाट यात्रा नगरेको भए असल हुने थियो ।
But, when they had been, long without food, then, Paul, standing in the midst of them, said—Ye ought, indeed, Sir! yielding to me, not to have sailed away from Crete, to get this damage and loss. …
22 अब म तपाईंहरूलाई साहसी बन्न उत्साह दिन्छु, किनभने तपाईंहरूका माझमा कुनै पनि मानवीय क्षति हुनेछैन, जहाजको मात्रै क्षति हुनेछ ।
And, now, I recommend you to be of good courage; for, loss of life, shall there be, none at all, from among you, —only the ship.
23 किनभने गएको रात मैले आराधना गर्ने परमेश्वर जसको म हुँ, उहाँका एक स्वर्गदूत मेरो छेउमा उभिए
For there stood by me this night, belonging unto the God whose I am, unto whom also I am doing divine service, a messenger,
24 र भने, “नडराऊ, पावल । तिमी कैसरको अगाडि उभिनु पर्छ र हेर परमेश्वरले आफ्नो कृपामा तिमीसँग यो जहाजमा यात्रा गरिरहेका सबैलाई तिम्रो हातमा दिनु भएको छ ।
saying—Be not afraid, Paul! for, before Caesar, must thou needs stand. And lo! God hath granted to thee as a favour, all them who are sailing with thee.
25 त्यसकारण, मानिसहरू, साहसी हुनुहोस् किनभने म परमेश्वरलाई भरोसा गर्दछु, कि मलाई जे भनिएको छ त्यस्तै हुनेछ ।
Wherefore, be of good courage, Sirs; for I believe in God—that, so, it shall be, according as it hath been told me.
26 तर हाम्रो जहाज भने कुनै टापुमा पुगेर क्षतिग्रस्त हुनुपर्नेछ ।”
Upon a certain island, however, must we needs be wrecked.
27 जब चौधौँ रात आयो, हामी यताउता गर्दै भएर एड्रियाटिक समुद्रमा यात्रा गरिरहेका थियौँ, मध्यरातमा जहाज चालकहरूले कुनै जमिन नजिक पुगिरहेका छौँ भन्ने विचार गरे ।
And, when, the fourteenth night, had come, and we were being driven to and fro in the Adriatic, about midnight, the sailors suspected that some country was, nearing, them;
28 तिनीहरूले गहिराइ नापे र गहिराइ लगभग छत्तिस मिटर भएको पत्ता लगाए, केही समय पछि फेरि उनीहरूले नाप लिए र गहिराइ सत्ताइस मिटर भएको पत्ता लगाए ।
and, sounding, they found twenty fathoms, —and, going a little further, and again sounding, they found fifteen fathoms.
29 हामीहरू चट्टानहरूमा ठोकिएर दुर्घटनामा पर्छौं कि भनेर तिनीहरू डराए, त्यसैले तिनीहरूले जहाजको पछाडि पट्टिबाट चारवटा लंगर तल खसालेर चाँडै बिहान होस् भनेर प्रार्थना गरे ।
And, fearing lest haply, on rocky places, we should be wrecked, out of stern, cast they four anchors, —and began praying that day might dawn.
30 जहाज चालकहरूले त्यो जहाजलाई त्याग्नको लागि बाटो खोजिरहेका थिए र सानो डुङ्गा समुद्रमा तल झारे अनि जहाजको अगाडिको भागबाट लंगरहरू तल खसाल्छौँ भनी बहाना बनाए ।
But, when, the sailors, were seeking to flee out of the ship, and had lowered the boat into the sea, by pretext, as though out of the prow they had been about to reach anchors,
31 तर पावलले सिपाहीहरू र उनीहरूका कप्तानलाई भने, “यी मानिसहरू यस जहाजमा बसेनन् भने तपाईंहरू जीवित रहन सक्नुहुने छैन ।”
Paul said unto the centurion, and unto the soldiers—Except, these, abide in the ship, ye yourselves, cannot be saved!
32 त्यसपछि सिपाहीहरूले त्यो डुङ्गाको डोरी काटिदिए र त्यसलाई त्यही पानीमा नै बगेर जान दिए ।
Then, the soldiers cut away the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.
33 जब बिहानको हुनै लागेको थियो, पावलले ती सबैलाई खाना खान बिन्ती गरे । उनले भने, “तपाईंहरूले खाना नखाई पर्खिएको आज यो चौधौँ दिन हो, तपाईंहरूले केही पनि खानु भएको छैन ।
And, until day was about to dawn, Paul continued to beseech one and all to take some food, saying—This day is, the fourteenth day, that, suspense, fasting, ye are completing, —having helped yourselves, to nothing.
34 त्यसैले तपाईंहरूले केही खानुहोस् किनकि यो तपाईंहरूलाई बाँच्नको लागि हो र तपाईंहरूको टाउकोको एउटै रौँ पनि नष्ट हुन पाउने छैन ।”
Wherefore, I beseech you to take some food, —for, this, lays a foundation for your safety; for, of no one of you, shall a hair of the head perish.
35 त्यति भनिसकेपछि, उनले रोटी लिए र सबैको सामु परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिए । त्यसपछि उनले त्यो रोटी भाँचे अनि खान सुरु गरे ।
And, having said these things, and taken a loaf, he gave thanks unto God before all, and, breaking it, began to eat.
36 त्यसपछि तिनीहरू सबै उत्साहित भए र खाना खाए ।
And, all becoming, of good cheer, they also, helped themselves to food.
37 हामी जहाजमा 276 जना मानिस थियौँ ।
Now we were, in the ship, in all, about seventy-six souls.
38 जब उनीहरूले पर्याप्त खाना खाए, त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले गहुँलाई समुद्रमा फ्याँकेर जहाजलाई हलुका बनाए ।
And, when they were satisfied with food, they began lightening the ship, casting out the wheat into the sea.
39 जब उज्यालो भयो, तिनीहरूले जमिनलाई चिन्न सकेनन्, तर तिनीहरूले समुद्रबाट बलौटे किनारा भएको खाडी देखे, अनि तिनीहरूले जहाजलाई त्यहाँ लैजान सक्छन् कि सक्दैनन् भनी छलफल गरे ।
And, when day came, they could not recognise, the land; but perceived, a certain bay, having a beach, —upon which they were minded, if they could, safely to bring the ship.
40 त्यसैले तिनीहरूले लंगरहरू काटेर र समुद्रमा नै छोडिदिए । त्यही समयमा तिनीहरूले जहाजमा भएका पतवारको डोरीहरू खोलि दिए अनि बतासतिर जहाजका पालहरू फर्काए, र त्यसपछि तिनीहरू समुद्र किनारतिर अगि बढे ।
And, casting off the anchors, they let them go into the sea, —at the same time, loosening the lashings of the rudders, and, hoisting up the foresail to the wind, they made for the beach.
41 तर तिनीहरू दुईओटा पानीको प्रवाह मिलेको ठाउँमा पुगे अनि जहाज जमिनमा भासियो । जहाजको अगाडिको भाग त्यहीँ अड्कियो र जहाज हलचल गर्न सकेन । तर प्रचण्ड बतासको कारणले जहाजको पछाडिको भाग भाँचिन सुरु भयो ।
But, falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and, the foreship sticking fast, remained immoveable, while, the stern, began to break up, from the violence [of the waves].
42 कैदीहरू पौडेर नाभागून् भनेर सिपाहीहरूले तिनीहरूलाई मार्ने योजना गरे
Now, the soldiers counsel, turned out to be, that they should kill, the prisoners, lest any one should swim out and escape;
43 तर सिपाहीको कप्तानले पावललाई बचाउने चाहना गरे, त्यसकारण उनले तिनीहरूको योजनालाई रोके, र जसलाई पौडी खेल्न आउँछ तिनीहरूले पहिले जहाजबाट हाम फालेर उत्रून् र जमिनमा जाऊन् भन्ने आदेश दिए ।
but, the centurion, being minded to bring Paul safely through, hindered them of their purpose, and ordered such as were able to swim, to cast themselves overboard and, get first to the land, —
44 त्यसपछि तिनले बाँकी मानिसहरू जाऊन्, कोही काठका तख्ताहरूमा र केही जहाजका अन्य सामानहरूमा चढेर जाऊन् भने । यसरी हामी सबै जना जमिनमा सुरक्षित आइपुग्यौँ ।
and, the rest, some, on planks, and, some, on other things from the ship, …and, so, it came to pass, that, all, were brought safely through, on to the land.
