प्रेरित 1
1 थियोफिलस, मैले पहिला लेखेको पुस्तकले येशूलाई माथि नलगिएसम्म उहाँले गर्न र सिकाउन थाल्नुभएका सबै कुरा बताएको छ ।
[Dear] Theophilus, In my first book [that I wrote for you], I wrote about many of the things that Jesus did and taught
2 उहाँले चुन्नुभएका प्रेरितहरूलाई पवित्र आत्माद्वारा उहाँले आज्ञा दिनुभएपछि यसो भएको थियो ।
until the day on which he was taken {[God] took him} up [to heaven]. Before [he went to heaven], saying what the Holy Spirit [told him], he told the apostles whom he had chosen [the things that he wanted them to know].
3 उहाँको कष्टभोगपछि उहाँले धेरै विश्वसनीय प्रमाणसहित आफैँलाई तिनीहरूकहाँ जीवित प्रस्तुत गर्नुभयो । उहाँ चालिस दिनसम्म उनीहरूकहाँ देखा पर्नुभयो र परमेश्वरको राज्यको बारेमा बताउनु भयो ।
After he had suffered [and died on the cross], [he became alive again]. As he appeared to them [often] during [the next] 40 days, the apostles saw him many times. He proved to them in many ways that he was alive again. He talked [with them] about [how] God would rule [MET] [the lives of people who accepted him as their king].
4 उहाँले तिनीहरूसँग भेटघाट गरिरहँदा उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई यरूशलेम नछोड्न, तर पिताको प्रतिज्ञाको प्रतीक्षा गर्नलाई आज्ञा दिनुभयो । त्यसको बारेमा उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरूले मबाट सुन्यौ
[One time] while he was with them, he told them, “Do not leave Jerusalem [yet]. Instead, wait [here] until my Father sends [his Spirit] [MTY] [to you], as he promised [to do]. You have heard me speak [to you] about that.
5 कि वास्तवमा यूहन्नाले पानीले बप्तिस्मा दिए, तर केही दिनमा नै तिमीहरूलाई पवित्र आत्मामा बप्तिस्मा दिइनेछ ।
John baptized people in water [because they said that they wanted to change their lives], but after a few days [LIT] [God] will put the Holy Spirit within you(pl) [to truly change your lives].”
6 तिनीहरू सँगै भेलाहुँदा, तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई सोधे, “प्रभु, के तपाईंले इस्राएल राज्य पुनर्स्थापना गर्नुहुने समय यही हो?”
One day when the [apostles] met together [with Jesus], they asked him, “Lord, will you [(sg)] now become the King [MET] over [us] Israelite people [like King David, who ruled long ago]?” (OR, “Lord, will you [(sg)] now [defeat the Romans and] restore the kingdom [to us] Israelite people?”)
7 उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “पिताले उहाँको अधिकारद्वारा तोक्नुभएको समय र ऋतुहरू जान्ने काम तिमीहरूको होइन ।
He replied to them, “You do not [need] to know the time [periods] and days [when that will happen]. My Father alone has decided [when he will make me king].
8 तर जब पवित्र आत्मा तिमीहरूमाथि आउनुहुन्छ, तिमीहरूले शक्ति प्राप्त गर्नेछौ, अनि तिमीहरू यरूशलेममा र सारा यहूदियामा र सामरिया र पृथ्वीको अन्तिम छेउसम्मै मेरा साक्षीहरू हुनेछौ ।”
But [you do need to know that] the Holy Spirit will make you [spiritually] strong when he comes to live in you. Then you will [powerfully] tell people about me in Jerusalem and in all [the other places in] Judea [district], in Samaria [district], and in places far away all over [IDM] the world.”
9 येशूले यी कुराहरू भनिसक्नुभएपछि, तिनीहरूले माथि हेरिरहँदा उहाँलाई माथि उठाइयो, र बादलले उहाँलाई तिनीहरूका आँखाबाट छेक्यो ।
After he said that, he was taken {[God] took him} up [to heaven], while they were watching. [He went up into] a cloud [PRS], which prevented them from seeing him [any more].
10 उहाँ जाँदै गर्नुहुँदा तिनीहरूले स्वर्गतिर उत्कटतापूर्वक हेरिररहेका बेला सेतो वस्त्र पहिरेका दुई जना मानिस अचानक तिनीहरूका छेउमा खडा भए ।
While [the apostles] were [still] staring towards the sky as he was going up, suddenly two men who were wearing white clothes stood beside them. [They were angels].
11 तिनीहरूले भने, “हे गालीलका मानिसहरू हो, तिमीहरू यहाँ उभिएर किन स्वर्गतिर हेरिरहन्छौ? स्वर्ग आरोहण हुनुभएका यी येशूलाई तिमीहरूले जसरी स्वर्गतिर गइरहेका देखेका छौ, उहाँ त्यसरी नै फर्कनुहुनेछ ।
One [of] them said, “You men from Galilee [district], (you do not need to stand [here any longer] looking up at the sky!/why do you still stand [here] looking up at the sky?) [RHQ] [Some day] this same Jesus, whom [God] took from you up to heaven, will come back [to earth]. He will return in the same manner as you [just now] saw him when he went up to heaven, [but he will not return now].”
12 त्यसपछि तिनीहरू यरूशलेम नजिकै पर्ने जैतून डाँडाबाट यरूशलेमतिर फर्के, जुन एक शबाथ दिनको यात्रा जति टाढा थियो ।
Then [after the two angels left], the apostles returned to Jerusalem from Olive [Tree] Hill, which was about (a half mile/one kilometer) [MTY] from Jerusalem.
13 तिनीहरू आइपुगेपछि तिनीहरू बसिरहेका माथिल्लो कोठामा गए । तिनीहरू पत्रुस, यूहन्ना, याकूब, अन्द्रियास, फिलिप, थोमा, बारथोलोमाइ, मत्ती, अल्फयसका छोरा याकूब, उग्रवादी सिमोन र यकूबका छोरा यहूदा थिए ।
When they entered [the city], they went upstairs to the room [in the house] where they were staying. [Those who were there included] Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, [another] James [the son] of Alphaeus, Simon who belonged to the group that wanted to expel the Romans, and Judas [the son] of [another man named] James.
14 तिनीहरू एकै मनको भएर प्रार्थनामा यत्नपूर्वक लागिरहे । त्यहाँ येशूकी आमा मरियम लगायत अन्य महिलाहरू र उहाँका भाइहरू पनि थिए ।
All these apostles agreed concerning the things about which they continually were praying [together. Others who prayed with them] included the women [who had accompanied Jesus], Mary who was Jesus’ mother, and his [younger] brothers.
15 ती दिनहरूमा झण्डै १२० जना भाइका माझमा पत्रुस खडा भए र भने,
During those days Peter stood up among his fellow believers. There were [at that place] a group of about 120 of [Jesus’ followers]. Peter said,
16 “भाइहरू हो, येशूलाई पक्राऊ गर्नलाई अगुवाइ गर्ने यहूदाको बारे दाऊदको मुखबाट पवित्र आत्माले पहिला नै बोल्नुभएको धर्मशास्त्र पुरा हुनु आवश्यक थियो ।
“My fellow believers, [there are words that King] David wrote [MTY] in the Scriptures long ago that needed to be fulfilled {to happen [as he said they would]}. The Holy Spirit, [who knew that Judas would be the one who would fulfill those words], told David what to write.
17 किनभने त्यो हामीमध्ये एक जना थियो र त्यसले आफ्नो सेवाकाइको हिस्सा प्राप्त गर्यो ।”
[Although] Judas had been chosen {[Jesus] had chosen Judas}, along with [the rest of] us [(exc)] to serve [as an apostle], Judas was the person who led to Jesus the people who seized him.”
18 (यो मानिसले उसको दुष्ट कर्मको कमाइबाट एउटा खेत किन्यो । त्यसपछि, उसको टाउको तल पारेर खस्यो, उसको शरीर फुट्यो, र उसको सबै आन्द्रा-भुँडी निस्क्यो ।
[The Jewish leaders] gave Judas money when he [promised to] treacherously/wickedly [betray Jesus. Later Judas returned that money to them]. When Judas [hanged himself], his body fell down [to the ground]. His abdomen burst open, and all his intestines spilled out. [So] the [Jewish leaders] bought a field [using] that money.
19 यो कुरा यरूशलेममा बस्ने सबैले सुने त्यसैले तिनीहरूले आफ्नो भाषामा त्यस खेतको नाम अखेल्दमा राखे जसको अर्थ “रगतको खेत” हुन्छ । )
All the people who reside in Jerusalem heard [about that], so they called that field in their own [Aramaic] language, Akeldama, which means ‘Field of Blood’, [because it was where someone bled and died].
20 “किनभने भजनसंग्रहको पुस्तकमा लेखिएको छ, ‘त्यसको खेत उजाड बनाइयोस् र त्यहाँ कोही एक जना पनि नबसोस्’ र ‘त्यसको नेतृत्वको पद अरू कसैले लिओस् ।’
[Peter also said], “[I perceive that what happened to Judas is like what the writer of] Psalms [desired to happen]: ‘May his house become deserted, and may there be no one to live in it.’ (OR, ‘[Judge him, Lord, so that neither he nor] anyone [else] may live in his house!)’ And it seems that [these other words that David wrote also refer to Judas: ] ‘Let someone else take over his work as a leader.’”
21 यसकारण यो आवश्यक छ कि, यूहन्नाको बप्तिस्माको दिनदेखि उहाँलाई हामीबाट माथि लगिएको दिनसम्म, प्रभु येशू हाम्रो माझमा भित्र-बाहिर गर्नुहुँदा सधैँभरि हामीलाई साथ दिने मानिसहरूमध्येबाट एक जना हामीसँगै उहाँको उहाँको पुनरुत्थानको साक्षी भएको हुनुपर्छ ।”
“So it is necessary [for us apostles] to choose a man [to replace Judas. He must be one who] accompanied [MTY] us all the time when the Lord Jesus was with us.
[That would be] from [the time when] John [the Baptizer] baptized [Jesus] until the day when Jesus was taken {when [God] took Jesus} from us up [to heaven]. He must be one who saw Jesus alive again [after he died].”
23 तिनीहरूले बरब्बा भनिने योसेफ जसको नाउँ युस्तस पनि थियो र मतियास दुई जनालाई अगि सारे ।
So the [apostles and other believers] suggested [the names of two men who qualified. One man was] Joseph, who was called {whom people called} Barsabbas (OR, Joseph Barsabbas) who [also] had the [Roman] name Justus. The other man was Matthias.
24 तिनीहरूले प्रार्थना गरे र भने, “तपाईं प्रभुले सबै मानसिहरूको हृदय जान्नु हुन्छ, त्यसैले यी दुई जनामध्ये कसलाई चुन्नुभएको छ प्रकट गर्नुहोस्
Then they prayed like this: “Lord [Jesus], Judas stopped being an apostle. [He died and] went to the place where he [deserved to be] [EUP]. [So we(exc) need to choose someone] to replace [Judas in order] that he can serve [you(sg) by becoming] an apostle. You [(sg)] know what everyone is really like. So [please] show us which of these two men you have chosen.”
25 यहूदाले अपराध गरेर उसको ठाउँमा गएपछि खाली भएको यो सेवाकाइ र प्रेरितको पद तिनले लिऊन् ।”
26 उनीहरूले तिनीहरूको निम्ति चिट्ठा हाले; र चिट्ठा मतियासको नाममा पर्यो र तिनलाई एघार जना प्रेरितसँगै गनियो ।
Then they cast lots [to choose between the two of] them, and the lot fell for Matthias. (OR, Then [one of] the [apostles] shook [in a container] small objects/stones [that] they [had marked to determine which man God had chosen]. And the small object/stone [that they had marked] for Matthias fell [out of the container]). So Matthias was considered {they considered Matthias} [to be an apostle] along with the [other] eleven apostles.
