३ यूहन्ना 1
1 प्रिय एल्डर गायसलाई, जसलाई म सत्यतामा प्रेम गर्छु ।
The elder to beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth.
2 प्रिय, म प्रार्थना गर्छु, कि जसरी तिम्रो प्राणको उन्नति हुन्छ त्यसरी नै तिमीले सबै कुराहरूमा उन्नति गर र स्वस्थ्य होओ ।
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be healthy, just as it is well with your soul.
3 किनकी जसरी तिमी सत्यमा हिँड्छौ त्यस्तै जब भाइहरू आएर तिम्रो सत्यताप्रति गवाही दिए म अति आनन्दित भएँ ।
For I rejoiced greatly when brothers came and bore witness to your truth, just as you walk in truth.
4 योभन्दा अर्थात् मेरा छोराछोरीहरू सत्यतामा हिँड्छन् भनी सुन्नुभन्दा अरू कुनै ठूलो आनन्द मसँग हुँदैन ।
I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children walk in the truth.
5 प्रिय, भाइहरू र परदेशीहरूको निम्ति काम गर्दा तिमी विश्वासयोग्यताको अभ्यास गर्छौ,
Beloved, you practice faithfulness whenever you work for the brothers and for strangers
6 जसले मण्डलीको सामु तिम्रो प्रेमको गवाही दिन्छन् । तिमीहरूले तिनीहरूलाई तिनीहरूका यात्रामा परमेश्वरको योग्य हुने तरिकाले पठाउन असल गर्छौ,
who have borne witness of your love in the presence of the church. You do well to send them off on their journey in a manner worthy of God,
7 किनकि अन्यजातिहरूबाट केही नलिइ नाउँको खातिर तिनीहरू गए ।
because it was for the sake of the name that they went out, taking nothing from the Gentiles.
8 त्यसकारण यस्ताहरूलाई हामीले स्वागत गर्नुपर्छ, ताकि हामी सत्यताको लागि सहकर्मीहरू बन्न सकौँ ।
We therefore should welcome such as these, so that we will be fellow workers for the truth.
9 मैले मण्डलीको निम्ति केही लेखेँ, तर डियोत्रिफस जसले तिनीहरूमा पहिलो हुन रुचाउछन् तिनले हामीलाई स्वीकार गर्दैन ।
I wrote something to the congregation, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not receive us.
10 यसकारण यदि म आएँ भने त्यसले गर्ने कामहरू अर्थात् त्यसले कुवाक्यहरूसहित हाम्रो विरुद्ध कसरी हाँस्यास्पद कुराहरू भन्छ म सम्झनेछु । यी कुराहरूले मात्र सन्तुष्ट नभएर, त्यो आफैँले भाइहरूलाई स्वीकार गर्दैन । यसो गर्न इच्छा गर्नेहरूलाई पनि त्यसले निषेध गर्छ र तिनीहरूलाई मण्डलीबाट निकाली दिन्छ ।
So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, talking wicked nonsense against us. Not satisfied with that, he not only refused to welcome the brothers himself, but he also stops those who want to welcome them and puts them out of the church.
11 प्रिय, जे खराब छ त्यसको अनुकरण नगर, तर जे असल छ त्यसको अनुरण गर । जसले असल गर्दछ त्यो परमेश्वरको हो; जसले दुष्ट कर्म गर्छ त्यसले परमेश्वरलाई देखेको छैन ।
Beloved, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.
12 डेमेत्रियसको बारेमा सबैद्वारा र सत्यता आफैँद्वारा पनि गवाही दिइन्छ । हामी पनि गवाही दिन्छौँ, र तिमी जान्दछौ, कि हाम्रो गवाही सत्य छ ।
Demetrius is borne witness to by all and by the truth itself. We also bear witness, and you know that our testimony is true.
13 मैले तिमीलाई लेख्नु धेरै कुराहरू छन्, तर मैले तिनीहरूलाई कागज र मसीले लेख्ने इच्छा गर्दिनँ ।
I had many things to write to you, but I do not wish to write them to you with pen and ink.
14 तर तिमीलाई छिट्टै भेट्ने आशा गर्छु, र हामी आमने सामने कुरा गर्नेछौँ । तिमीलाई शान्ति होस् । मित्रहरूले तिमीलाई अभिवादन गर्छन् । मित्रहरूलाई नाउँद्वारा अभिवादन गर ।
But I expect to see you soon, and we will speak face to face. May peace be with you. The friends greet you. Greet our friends there by name.
