1 यसपछि यस्तो भयो, दाऊदका छोरा अमनोन आफ्नी सुन्दरी झट्केली बहिनी तामारप्रति धेरै आकर्षित भए, जो दाऊदका अर्को छोरा अबशालोमकी आफ्नै बहिनी थिइन् ।
Now after this so it was, that Absalom the sonne of Dauid hauing a fayre sister, whose name was Tamar, Amnon the sonne of Dauid loued her.
2 अमनोन यति निराश भए कि आफ्नी बहिनी तामारको कारणले तिनी बिरामी परे । उनी कन्या थिइन्, र यसैले उनलाई कुनै कुरा गर्न अमनोनलाई असम्भवजस्तै भयो ।
And Amnon was so sore vexed, that he fell sicke for his sister Tamar: for she was a virgin, and it seemed hard to Amnon to doe any thing to her.
3 तर अमनोनका एक जना मित्र थिए जसको नाम योनादाब थियो। तिनी दाऊदका दाजु शिमाहका छोरा थिए । योनादाब साह्रै धूर्त मानिस थिए ।
But Amnon had a friend called Ionadab, the sonne of Shimeah Dauids brother: and Ionadab was a very subtile man.
4 योनादाबले अमनोनलाई भने, 'ए राजकुमार, तिमी किन हरेक बिहान निराश हुन्छौ? के तिमी मलाई भन्दैनौ?” यसैले अमनोनले तिनलाई जवाफ दिए, “मेरो भाइ अबशालोमकी बहिनी तामारलाई म प्रेम गर्छु ।”
Who sayde vnto him, Why art thou the Kings sonne so leane from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? Then Amnon answered him, I loue Tamar my brother Absaloms sister.
5 तब योनादाबले तिनलाई भने, “आफ्नो ओछ्यान सुतिराख र बिरामी भएको बहाना गर । जब तिम्रो बुबाले तिमीलाई हेर्न आउँछन्, तब उनलाई भन, 'कृपया मलाई केही खाने कुरा दिन र मेरो सामु ती पकाउन कृपया मेरी बहिनी तामारलाई पठाइदिनुहोस्, ताकि म त्यो हेर्न सकूँ र त्यो उनको हातबाट खान सकूँ ।”
And Ionadab sayd vnto him, Lie downe on thy bed, and make thy selfe sicke: and when thy father shall come to see thee, say vnto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and giue me meate, and let her dresse meate in my sight, that I may see it, and eate it of her hand.
6 त्यसैले अमनोन पल्टिबसे र बिरामी भएको बहाना गरे । जब राजा तिनलाई हेर्न आए, तब अमनोनले राजालाई भने, “कृपया, मेरी बहिनी तामारलाई मेरो बिरामीपनको निम्ति मेरो सामु खाना बनाउन पठाइदिनुहोस् ताकि म उनको हातबाट खान सकूँ ।”
So Amnon lay downe, and made himselfe sicke: and when the King came to see him, Amnon sayde vnto the King, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may receiue meate at her hand.
7 अनि दाऊदले आफ्नो दरबारमा तमारलाई खबर पठाए, “अहिले तिम्रो दाजु अमनोनको घरमा जाऊ र तिनको निम्ति खाना तयार पारिदेऊ ।”
Then Dauid sent home to Tamar, saying, Goe now to thy brother Amnons house, and dresse him meate.
8 त्यसैले तामार आफ्नो दाजु अमनोनको घरमा गइन् जहाँ तिनी पल्टिरहेका थिए । उनले पिठो लिइन् र तिनले देख्ने गरी पिठो मुछिन् र उनले रोटी पकाइन् ।
So Tamar went to her brother Amnons house, and he lay downe: and she tooke floure, and knead it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
9 उनले तावा लिइन् र तिनलाई रोटी दिइन्, तर तिनले खान इन्कार गरे । त्यसपछि अमनोनले त्यहाँ भएका अरूलाई भने, “हरेकलाई बाहिर, मबाट टाढा पठाऊ ।” त्यसैले हरेक व्यक्ति बाहिर गए ।
And she tooke a pan, and powred them out before him, but he would not eat. Then Amnon saide, Cause ye euery man to goe out from me: so euery man went out from him.
10 यसैले अमनोनले तामारलाई भने, “खाना मेरो कोठामा ल्याऊ ताकि म तिम्रो हातबाट खान सकूँ ।” यसैले आफूले बनाएको रोटी तामारले लिइन् र त्यो तिनका दाजु अमनोनको कोठाभित्र लगिदिइन् ।
Then Amnon said vnto Tamar, Bring the meate into the chamber, that I may eate of thine hand. And Tamar tooke the cakes which shee had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.
11 जब उनले तिनकहाँ खाना ल्याएकी थिइन्, तब तिनले उनको हात समाते र उनलाई भने, “मेरी बहिनी, आऊ, मसँग सुत ।”
And when she had set them before him to eate, he tooke her, and sayd vnto her, Come, lye with me, my sister.
12 उनले तिनलाई जवाफ दिइन्, “होइन, मेरो दाजु, मलाई कर नलगाउनुहोस्, किनकि इस्राएलमा यस्तो कुनै कुरा गर्नुहुँदैन । यस्तो घोर दुष्ट कुरा नगर्नुहोस् ।
But shee answered him, Nay, my brother, doe not force me: for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: commit not this follie.
13 मैले आफ्नो लाजबाट कसरी मुक्त हुन सक्छु र? तपाईंको बारेमा नि? तपाईं इस्राएलमा एक जना मूर्खजस्तै हुनुहुने छ । अब कृपया राजासँग कुरा गर्नुहोस्, किनकि उहाँले मलाई तपाईंबाट अलग गर्नुहुन्न ।”
And I, whither shall I cause my shame to goe? and thou shalt be as one of the fooles in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, speake to the King, for he will not denie me vnto thee.
14 तापनि अमनोनले उनको कुरा सुनेनन् । तिनी तामारभन्दा बलिया भएका हुनाले, तिनले उनलाई समाते र तिनी उनीसित सुते ।
Howbeit he would not hearken vnto her voyce, but being stronger then she, forced her, and lay with her.
15 त्यसपछि अमनोनले तामारलाई अत्यान्तै घृणा गरे । तिनले उनलाई इच्छा गरेकोभन्दा पनि धेरै घृणा तिनले उनलाई गरे । अमनोनले उनलाई भने, “उठ् र जा ।”
Then Amnon hated her exceedingly, so that the hatred wherewith he hated her, was greater then the loue, wherewith hee had loued her: and Amnon sayde vnto her, Vp, get thee hence.
16 तर उनले तिनलाई जवाफ दिइन्, “होइन! मलाई निकाल्ने कुरा त ठुलो दुष्टता हो जुन तपाईंले मलाई गर्नुभएको कुराभन्दा पनि झन् खराब कुरा हो ।” तर अमनोनले उनको कुरा सुनेनन् ।
And she answered him, There is no cause: this euill (to put mee away) is greater then the other that thou diddest vnto me: but he would not heare her,
17 बरु, तिनले आफ्नो व्यक्तिगत सेवकलाई बोलाए र भने, “यो स्त्रीलाई मबाट हटाओ र त्यसलाई निकालेपछि ढोका बन्द गरिदेओ ।”
But called his seruant that serued him, and sayd, Put this woman now out from me, and locke the doore after her.
18 तब तिनको सेवकले उनलाई बाहिर ल्यायो र उनलाई निकालेपछि ढोका बन्द गरिदियो । तामारले धेरै बुट्टादार लुगा लगाइरहेकी थिइन् किनभने राजाका कन्या छोरीहरूले त्यसरी लगाउँछन् ।
(And she had a garment of diuers coulours vpon her: for with such garments were the Kings daughters that were virgins, apparelled) Then his seruant brought her out, and locked the doore after her.
19 तामारले आफ्नो टाउकोमा खरानी हालिन् र आफ्नो लुगा च्यातिन् । उनले आफ्नो हात शिरमाथि राखिन् र उनी ठुलो सोरले रुँदै हिंडेर गइन् ।
And Tamar put ashes on her head and rent the garment of diuers colours which was on her, and layde her hand on her head, and went her way crying.
20 उनका दाजु अब्शालोमले उनलाई भने, “के तिम्रो दाजु अमनोन तिमीसँगै थिए? मेरी बहिनी, अब चूपचाप बस । तिनी तिम्रै दाजु हुन् । यस कुरालाई मनमा नलेऊ ।” त्यसैले तामार आफ्नो दाजुको घरमा एक्लै बसिन् ।
And Absalom her brother sayd vnto her, Hath Amnon thy brother bene with thee? Now yet be still, my sister: he is thy brother: let not this thing grieue thine heart. So Tamar remayned desolate in her brother Absaloms house.
21 तर जब राजा दाऊदले यी सबै कुरा सुने, तब तिनी रिसले चुर भए ।
But when King Dauid heard all these things, he was very wroth.
22 अब्शालोमले अमनोनलाई केही पनि भनेनन्, किनकि तिनले आफ्नो बहिनीलाई जे गरेका थिए र तिनले जसरी आफ्नो बहिनी तामारलाई अपमान गरेका थिए, त्यसको निम्ति अब्शालोमले तिनलाई घृणा गरे ।
And Absalom sayde vnto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
23 पुरा दुई वर्षपछि यस्तो भयो, अब्शालोमले एफ्राइम नजिकै रहेको बालहासोरमा भेडको ऊन कत्रिए र अब्शालोमले राजाका सबै छोरालाई निमन्त्रणा दिए ।
And after the time of two yeeres, Absalom had sheepesherers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim, and Absalom called all the Kings sonnes.
24 अब्शालोम राजाकहाँ गए र भने, “हे्र्नुहोस्, तपाईंको दासले भेडाको ऊन कत्रन लगेको छ । कृपया, राजा र उहाँका सेवकहरू हजुरका दासकहाँ सवारी होस् ।”
And Absalom came to the King and sayd, Beholde now, thy seruant hath sheepesherers: I pray thee, that the King with his seruants would goe with thy seruant.
25 राजाले अब्शालोमलाई जवाफ दिए, “होइन, मेरो छोरो, हामी सबै जना जानुहुँदैन किनभने तिम्रो निम्ति हामी बोझ हुन्छौं ।” अब्शालोमले राजालाई बिन्ती गरे, तर तिनी गएनन्। बरु तिनले उनलाई आशिष् दिए ।
But the King answered Absalom, Nay my sonne, I pray thee, let vs not goe all, lest we be chargeable vnto thee. Yet Absalom lay sore vpon him: howbeit he would not go, but thanked him.
26 तब अब्शालोमले भने, “होइन भने, मेरो दाजु अमनोनलाई मसँग जान दिनुहोस् ।” राजाले उनलाई भने, “अमनोन तिमीसँग किन जाने नि?”
Then sayd Absalom, But, I pray thee, shall not my brother Amnon goe with vs? And the king answered him, Why should he go with thee?
27 अब्शालोमले दाऊदलाई कर गरे, र तिनले अमनोन र सबै राजकुमारलाई उनीसित जान दिए ।
But Absalom was instant vpon him, and he sent Amnon with him, and all the Kings children.
28 अब्शालोमले उनका सेवकहरूलाई यसो भनेर आदेश दिए, “ध्यानपूर्वक सुन । जब अमनोनलाई मद्यले असर गर्न थाल्छ र जब म तिमीहरूलाई भन्छु, ' अमनोनलाई आक्रमण गर,' तब त्यसलाई मार । नडराऊ । के तिमीहरूलाई मैले आज्ञा गरेको होइन र? साहसी र आँटिलो होओ?”
Now had Absalom commanded his seruants, saying, Marke now when Amnons heart is merry with wine, and when I say vnto you, Smite Amnon, kill him, feare not, for haue not I commanded you? be bold therefore, and play the men.
29 त्यसैले अबशालोमका सेवकहरूले उनले आज्ञा गरेबमोजिम नै अमनोनलाई गरे । तब सबै राजकुमार उठे र सबैले आ-आफ्नो कच्चर चढे र भागे ।
And the seruantes of Absalom did vnto Amnon, as Absalom had commanded: and al the Kings sonnes arose, and euery man gate him vp vpon his mule, and fled.
30 यसैले यस्तो भयो, जब तिनीहरू बाटोमै थिए, तब दाऊदकहाँ यसो भन्ने खबर आयो, “अब्शालोमले सबै राजकुमारलाई मरेका छन् र त्यहाँ एक जना पनि बाँचेका छैनन् ।”
And while they were in the way, tydings came to Dauid, saying, Absalom hath slaine al the Kings sonnes, and there is not one of them left.
31 त्यसपछि राजा उठे र आफ्नो लुगा च्याते र भुईंमा पसारो परे । तिनका सबै सेवकले पनि आआफ्ना लुगा च्याते र छेउमा खडा भए ।
Then the King arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the ground, and all his seruants stoode by with their clothes rent.
32 दाऊदका दाजु शिमाहका छोरा योनादाबले जवाफ दिए र भने, “तिनीहरूले सबै जवानलाई मारेका छन् भनेका कुरामा मेरा मालिकले विश्वास नगर्नुहोस्, किनकि अमनोन मात्र मरेका छन् । अमनोनले अब्शालोमकी बहिनी तामारलाई दुर्व्यवहार गरेकै दिनदेखि तिनले यो योजना बनाएका छन् ।
And Ionadab the sonne of Shimeah Dauids brother answered and sayde, Let not my lord suppose that they haue slayne all the yong men the Kings sonnes: for Amnon onely is dead, because Absalom had reported so, since hee forced his sister Tamar.
33 यसकरण मेरो मालिक राजाले यो खबरलाई राजाका सबै छोराहरू मरेका छन् भनी विश्वास गर्नको निम्ति मनमा नलिनुहोस्, किनकि अमनोन मात्र मरेका छन् ।”
Nowe therefore let not my lord the King take the thing so grieuously, to thinke that all ye Kings sonnes are dead: for Amnon only is dead.
34 अब्शालोम भागे । रक्षक भएका एक जना सेवकले हेरे र आफ्नो पश्चिमतिरको पहाडको बाटोमा धेरै जना मानिस आइरहेको देखे ।
Then Absalom fled: and the yong man that kept the watch, lift vp his eyes, and looked, and behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behinde him.
35 तब योनादाबले राजालाई भने, “हे्र्नुहोस्, राजकुमारहरू आउँदै छन् । यो तपाईंको दासले भनेजस्तै हो ।”
And Ionadab said vnto the King, Behold, ye Kings sonnes come: as thy seruant sayd, so it is.
36 अनि यस्तो भयो, जब तिनले बोलिसके तब राजकुमारहरू आइपुगे र ठुलो सोर गरे र रोए । राजा र तिनका सेवकहरू पनि धुरुधुरु रोए ।
And assoone as hee had left speaking, behold, the Kings sonnes came, and lift vp their voyces, and wept: and the King also and all his seruants wept exceedingly sore.
37 तर अब्शालोम भागे र गशूरका राजा अम्मीहूदका छोरा तल्मैकहाँ गए । दाऊदले आफ्नो छोराको निम्ति हरेक दिन विलाप गरे ।
But Absalom fled away, and went to Talmai the sonne of Ammihur King of Geshur: and Dauid mourned for his sonne euery day.
38 यसैले अब्शालोम भागे र गशूरमा गए, जहाँ तिनी तीन वर्षसम्म बसे ।
So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three yeeres.
39 दाऊद राजाको मनले अब्शालोमलाई भेट्न जाने तीव्र इच्छा गर्यो, किनकि तिनी अमनोन र उनको मृत्युको बारेमा सान्त्वना पाएका थिए ।
And King Dauid desired to go forth vnto Absalom, because he was pacified concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
