२ राजाहरू 10

1 सामरियामा आहाबको घरानाका सत्तरी जना सन्तान थिए । येहूले चिठीहरू लेखे र ती सामरियामा यिजरेलका शासकहरू, धर्म-गुरुहरू र आहाबका सन्तानका अभिभावककहाँ यसो भनेर पठाए,

Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, to the rulers of the city, even the elders, and to the guardians of the sons of Ahab, saying,

2 “तिमीहरूका मालिकका सन्तानहरू तिमीहरूसित छन्, र तिमीहरूसित रथहरू, घोडाहरू र किल्लाबन्दी गरिएको सहर हतियार छन् । त्यसैले यो चिठी तिमीहरूले प्राप्‍त गर्ने बित्तिकै,

"Now as soon as this letter comes to you, since your master's sons are with you, and there are with you chariots and horses, fortified cities also, and weapons.

3 तिमीहरूका मालिका सन्तानमध्ये सबैभन्दा उत्तम र योग्यलाई छान र तिनलाई आफ्‍ना पिताको सिंहासनमा राख, अनि तिमीहरूका मालिकका राजकीय वंशको निम्ति लडाइँ गर ।”

Select the best and fittest of your master's sons, set him on his father's throne, and fight for your master's house."

4 तर तिनीहरू त्रसित भए र आपसमा भने, “हेर, येहूको सामु दुई जना राजा त खडा हुन सकेनन् । त्‍यसैले हामी कसरी खडा हुन सक्छौँ?”

But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, "Look, the two kings did not stand before him. How then shall we stand?"

5 तब दरबारका रेखदेख मानिसहरू, सहरका प्रमुखहरू र धर्म-गुरुहरू अनि बालबालिकका अभिभावकहरूले येहूलाई यसो भनेर समाचार पठाए, “हामी तपाईंका सेवकहरू हौँ । तपाईंले हामीलाई जे आज्ञा दिनुहुन्‍छ, त्‍यो हरेक कुरा हामी गर्नेछौँ । हामी कुनै मानिसलाई राजा बनाउनेछैनौँ । तपाईंको दृष्‍टिमा जे ठिक लाग्‍छ, त्यही गर्नुहोस् ।”

He who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders also, and those who raised the children, sent to Jehu, saying, "We are your servants, and will do all that you ask us. We will not make any man king. You do that which is good in your eyes."

6 तब येहूले तिनीहरूलाई यसो भनेर दोस्रो पटक चिठी लेखे, “तिमीहरू मेरो पक्षमा छौ र तिमीहरूले मेरो कुरा सुन्छौ भने तिमीहरूले आफ्‍ना मालिकका सन्‍तानका शिरहरू लिनुपर्छ र भोली यसै बेला यिजरेलमा मकहाँ आउनुपर्छ ।” त्यस बेला राजाका सत्तरी जना सन्तानहरू आफूलाई हुर्काउने सहरका महत्त्वपूर्ण मानिसहरूसँगै थिए ।

Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, "If you are on my side, and if you will listen to my voice, take the heads of the men your master's sons, and come to me to Jezreel by tomorrow this time." Now the king's sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who brought them up.

7 त्यसैले जब तिनीहरूकहाँ चिठी आयो, तब तिनीहरूले राजाका छोराहरूलाई समाते र सत्तरी जनालाई नै मारे, तिनीहरूका शिरहरू टोकरीहरूमा राखे, र ती यिजरेलमा येहूकहाँ पठाए ।

It happened, when the letter came to them, that they took the king's sons, and killed them, even seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent them to him to Jezreel.

8 एक जना सन्देशवाहक येहूकहाँ यसो भन्‍न आयो, “तिनीहरूले राजाका छोराहरूका शिरहरू ल्याएका छन् ।” त्‍यसैले तिनले भने, “बिहानसम्म तिनलाई मूल ढोकामा दुईवटा थुप्रो लगाएर राख्‍नू ।”

A messenger came, and told him, "They have brought the heads of the king's sons." He said, "Lay them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until the morning."

9 बिहान येहू बाहिर निस्के र खडा भए र सबै मानिसहरूलाई भने, “तिमीहरू निर्दोष छौ । हेर, मैले मेरा मालिकको विरुद्धमा षड्यन्त्र गरें र तिनलाई मारेँ, तर यी सबैलाई कसले मारे?

It happened in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, "You are righteous. Look, I conspired against my master, and killed him; but who struck all these?

10 अब तिमीहरूले निश्‍चय नै बुझ्नुपर्छ कि आहाबको घरानाको सम्बन्धमा बोलिएको परमप्रभुको वचनको कुनै पनि भाग खेर जाने छैन किनकि परमप्रभुले आफ्ना सेवक एलियाद्वारा बोल्नुभएअनुसार गर्नुभएको छ ।”

Know now that nothing shall fall to the earth of the word of the LORD, which the LORD spoke concerning the house of Ahab. For the LORD has done that which he spoke by his servant Elijah."

11 त्यसैले येहूले यिजरेलमा आहाबका घरानाका बाँकी रहेका सबै जना, तिनका मुख्य मानिसहरू, तिनका नजिकका मित्रहरू र पुजारीहरू कसैलाई पनि नछडी सबैलाई मारे ।

So Jehu struck all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, with all his great men, his familiar friends, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.

12 तब येहू उठे र आफ्नो बाटो लागे । तिनी सामरियामा गए । तिनी गोठालोको बेथ-एकेदमा आइपुग्दा,

He arose and departed, and went to Samaria. As he was at Beth Eked of the Shepherds on the way,

13 तिनले यहूदाका राजा अहज्याहका दाजुभाइलाई भेटे । येहूले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “तिमीहरू को हौ?” तिनीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “हामी अहज्याहका दाजुभाइहरू हौँ, र हामी राजाका सन्तान र रानी ईजेबेलका सन्तानलाई अभिवादन गर्न जाँदैछौँ ।”

Jehu met with the brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, "Who are you?" They answered, "We are the brothers of Ahaziah. We are going down to greet the children of the king and the children of the queen."

14 येहूले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई भने, “तिनीहरूलाई जिउँदै समात ।” त्यसैले तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई जिउँदै समाते र बयालिस जना पुरुष सबैलाई बेथ-एकेदको कुवामा मारे । तिनीहरूमध्‍ये एक जनालाई पनि तिनले जिउँदो छोडेनन् ।

He said, "Take them alive." They took them alive, and killed them at the pit of the shearing house, even forty-two men. He did not leave any of them.

15 येहू त्यहाँबाट गएपछि तिनले रेकाबका छोरा यहोनादाब आफूलाई भेट्न आइरहेका देखे । येहूले तिनलाई अभिवादन गरे र तिनलाई भने, “मेरो ह्रदय तिमीतर्फ भएझैँ तिम्रो ह्रदय मतर्फ छ?” यहोनादाबले जवाफ दिए, “हजुर छ।” येहूले भने, “छ भने मलाई तिम्रो हात देऊ।” त्यसैले तिनले येहूलाई आफ्नो हात दिए, येहूले यहोनादाबलाई आफूसितै रथमा लगे ।

When he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him, and said to him, "Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?" Jehonadab answered, "It is." And he said, "If it is, give me your hand." He gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

16 येहूले भने, “मसँग आऊ र परमप्रभुको निम्ति मेरो जोसलाई हेर ।” त्यसैले तिनले यहोनादाबलाई आफ्‍नो रथमा आफूसँगै लगे ।

He said, "Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD." So he made him ride in his chariot.

17 जब तिनी सामरियामा आए, तब जसरी परमप्रभुले पहिले नै आहाबको घरानालाई एलियाद्वारा भन्‍नुभएको थियो त्‍यसरी नै येहूले सामरियामा बाँकी रहेका तिनका सबै सन्तानलाई मारे, र आहाबको राजकीय वंशको एउटैलाई पनि छाडेनन् ।

When he came to Samaria, he struck all who remained to Ahab in Samaria, until he had destroyed him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke to Elijah.

18 तब येहूले सारा मानिसलाई एकसाथ जम्मा गरे र तिनीहरूलाई भने, “आहाबले त बालको थोरै मात्र सेवा गरे, तर येहूले त झन् बढी त्यसको सेवा गर्नेछ ।

Jehu gathered all the people together, and said to them, "Ahab served Baal a little; but Jehu will serve him much.

19 त्यसकारण बालका सबै अगमवक्ता, त्यसका सबै आराधक र सबै पुजारीलाई मकहाँ बोलाओ । कोही पनि नछोडियोस् किनकि बाललाई चढाउन मसित एउटा ठुलो बलिदान छ । जो आउँदैन, त्यो बाँच्नेछैन ।” तर बालका आराधकहरूलाई मार्न येहूले छलपूर्वक यसो गरेका थिए ।

Now therefore call to me all the prophets of Baal, all of his worshippers, and all of his priests. Let none be absent; for I have a great sacrifice to Baal. Whoever is absent, he shall not live." But Jehu did it in subtlety, intending that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.

20 येहूले भने, “बालको निम्ति एउटा सभा बोलाओ ।” त्यसैले तिनीहरूको यसको घोषणा गरे ।

Jehu said, "Sanctify a solemn assembly for Baal." They proclaimed it.

21 तब येहूले सारा इस्राएलभरि समाचार पठाए, र बालका आराधकहरू सबै आए । नआएको मानिस एउटै पनि थिए । तिनीहरू बालको मन्दिरमा आए, र मन्दिर एउटा कुनादेखि अर्को कुनासम्म भरिएको थियो ।

Jehu sent through all Israel; and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that did not come. They came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was filled from one end to another.

22 येहूले पुजारीको वस्‍त्र-भण्डारको रेखदेख गर्ने मानिसलाई भने, “बालका सबै आराधकका लागि वस्‍त्र ल्याऊ ।” त्यसैले ती मानिसले तिनीहरूकहाँ वस्‍त्रहरू ल्याए ।

He said to him who was over the vestry, "Bring out robes for all the worshippers of Baal." He brought robes out to them.

23 रेकाबका छोरा यहोनादाबसित येहू बालको मन्दिरभित्र गए, र तिनले बालका आराधकहरूलाई भने, “यहाँ परमप्रभुका कुनै पनि सेवक नहोऊन्, तर बालका आराधकहरू मात्र होऊन् भन्‍ने कुरामा निश्‍चित होऊ ।”

Jehu went with Jehonadab the son of Rechab into the house of Baal. Then he said to the worshippers of Baal, "Search, and look that there are here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only."

24 तब तिनीहरू बलिहरू र होमबलि चढाउन भित्र गए । येहूले असि जना मानिसलाई छानेका थिए जो बाहिर खडा थिए । तिनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “मैले तिमीहरूका हातमा ल्याएको कुनै पनि मानिस भाग्‍यो भने, जसले भगाउँछ, त्यो भाग्‍नेको प्राणको सट्टा त्यसको प्राण लिइनेछ ।”

They went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had appointed him eighty men outside, and said, "If any of the men whom I bring into your hands escape, he who lets him go, his life shall be for the life of him."

25 तब येहूले होमबलि चढाएर सिद्ध्याउने बित्तिकै तिनले पहरेदार र सेनापतिहरूलाई भने, “भित्र जाओ र गएर तिनीहरूलाई मार । कोही बाहिर नआओस् ।” त्यसैले तिनीहरूले तरवारको धारले उनीहरूलाई मारे, अनि पहरेदार र कप्‍तानहरूले तिनीहरूलाई बाहिर फाले र तिनीहरू बालको मन्दिरको भित्री कोठामा गए ।

It happened, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, "Go in, and kill them. Let none escape." They struck them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.

26 तिनीहरूले बालको मन्दिरको भित्र राखिएको ढुङ्गाको मूर्तिलाई घिसारेर बाहिर ल्याए, र ती आगो लगाइदिए ।

They brought out the pillar that was in the house of Baal, and burned it.

27 त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले बालको खम्बाहरू भँचिदिए र बालको मन्दिरलाई भत्काइदिए, अनि मानिसहरूले त्‍यसबाट शौचालय बनाए जसलाई मानिसहरूले आजसम्म प्रयोग गर्छन् ।

They broke down the pillar of Baal, and broke down the house of Baal, and made it a latrine, to this day.

28 यसरी येहूले इस्राएलबाट बालको पुजालाई नष्‍ट पारे ।

Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.

29 तर नबातका छोरा यारोबामका पापहरू जसद्वारा तिनले इस्राएललाई पाप गर्न लगाए, अर्थात् बेथेल र दानमा सुनका बाछाहरूका पुजालाई येहूले छाडेनन् ।

However from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin, Jehu did not depart from after them, the golden calves that were in Bethel, and that were in Dan.

30 त्यसैले परमप्रभुले येहूलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “परमप्रभुको दृष्‍टिमा जे ठिक थियो, तैँले त्यही गरेको कारणले र आहाबको घरानालाई मेरो ह्रदयमा भएअनुसार गरेको हुनाले तेरा सन्तानहरूको चार पुस्तासम्म इस्राएलको सिंहासनमा बस्‍नेछन् ।”

The LORD said to Jehu, "Because you have done well in executing that which is right in my eyes, and have done to the house of Ahab according to all that was in my heart, your descendants of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel."

31 तर आफ्ना सारा ह्रदयले इस्राएलका परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वरको व्यवस्थामा हिँड्न कुरालाई येहूले वास्ता गरेनन् । इस्राएललाई पाप गर्न लगाउने यारोबामका पापहरूबाट तिनी फर्केनन् ।

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin.

32 ती दिनमा परमप्रभुले इस्राएलको क्षेत्रफल घटाउन थाल्नुभयो, र हजाएलले इस्राएलका सिमानाहरूमा इस्राएलीलाई पराजित गरे,

In those days the LORD began to cut off from Israel; and Hazael struck them in all the borders of Israel;

33 यर्दन नदीको पूर्वतिर भएको गिलाद, गादी, रूबेनी र मनश्शे सबै क्षेत्र, अर्नोन उपत्‍यकाको ओएरदेखि गिलाद र बाशानसम्मै कब्‍जा गरे ।

from the Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the Valley of the Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.

34 येहू र तिनका सबै काम र तिनको शक्तिको बारेमा के इस्राएलका राजाहरूको इतिहासको पुस्तकमा लेखिएका छैनन् र?

Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

35 येहू आफ्ना पर्खाहरूसित सुते, र तिनीहरूले तिनलाई सामरियामा गाडे । तब तिनको ठाउँमा तिनका छोरा यहोआहाज राजा भए ।

Jehu slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria. Jehoahaz his son reigned in his place.

36 येहूले सामरियामा बसेर इस्राएलमाथि अट्ठाइस वर्ष राज्य गरे ।

The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.
