1 हिजकियाले सबै इस्राएल र यहूदाकहाँ दूतहरू पठाए र एफ्राइम र मनश्‍शेलाई चिट्ठीहरू पनि लेखे ताकि तिनीहरू यरूशलेममा परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वरको निम्‍ति निस्‍तार-चाड मान्‍न यरूशलेमको परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरमा आउन्‌ ।

Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to the LORD, the God of Israel.

2 किनकि राजा, तिनका अगुवाहरू र यरूशलेममा भेला भएका सबै समुदायले मिलेर सल्लाह गरी दोस्रो महिनामा निस्‍तार-चाड मनाउने सहमती गरे ।

For the king had taken counsel, and his officials, and all the assembly in Jerusalem, to keep the Passover in the second month.

3 तिनीहरूले नियमित समयमा मनाउन सकेनन्, किनभने उत्सवको निम्ति पर्याप्‍त पुजारीहरूले आफूलाई शुद्ध पारेका र मानिसहरू यरूशलेममा एकसाथ भेला हुन सकेका थिएनन्‌ ।

For they could not keep it at that time, because the cohanim had not sanctified themselves in sufficient number, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.

4 यो प्रस्‍ताव राजा र सारा समुदायको दृष्‍टिमा असल लाग्‍यो ।

The thing was right in the eyes of the king and of all the assembly.

5 यसैले तिनीहरूले बेर्शेबादेखि दानसम्‍मै परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वरको निम्‍ति निस्‍तार-चाड मान्‍न मानिसहरू यरूशलेममा आउनैपर्छ भनी सारा इस्राएलभरि घोषणा गर्ने कुरामा सहमत भए । किनकि यसअघि लेखिएबमोजिम मानिसहरूका यति धेरै सङ्‍ख्‍याले यो चाड मानेका थिएनन्‌ ।

So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to the LORD, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem: for they had not kept it in great numbers in such sort as it is written.

6 यसैले राजाको हुकुमअनुसार राजा र तिनका अगुवाहरूका पत्रहरू लिएर पत्रवाहकहरू सारा इस्राएल र यहूदाभरि गए । तिनीहरूले भने, “इस्राएलका मानिसहरू हो, अब्राहाम, इसहाक र इस्राएलका परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वरतिर तिमीहरू फर्क, ताकि अश्‍शूरका राजाहरूका हातबाट उम्‍कनेहरूतिर उहाँ पनि फर्कनुभएको होस् ।

So the couriers went with the letters from the king and his officers throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, "children of Israel, turn again to the LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may return to the remnant of you who have escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

7 तिमीहरू आफ्‍ना पुर्खाहरू वा आफ्ना दाजुभाइजस्‍तै नहोओ, जसले परमप्रभु आफ्‍ना पुर्खाहरूका परमेश्‍वरको विरुद्धमा विश्‍वासघात गरे, जसले गर्दा उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई त्रासका पात्र तुल्‍याउनुभयो, जुन तिमीहरूले देख्छौ ।

Do not be like your fathers, and like your brothers, who trespassed against the LORD, the God of their fathers, so that he gave them up to desolation, as you see.

8 तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूझैं तिमीहरू पनि हठी नहोओ । बरू तिमीहरू आफूलाई परमप्रभुमा समर्पण गर, र उहाँले सदासर्वदाको निम्‍ति पवित्र पार्नुभएको उहाँको पवित्रस्‍थानमा प्रवेश गर, र परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरको आराधना गर, ताकि उहाँको भयानक क्रोध तिमीहरूबाट हटोस्‌ ।

Now do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were; but yield yourselves to the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever, and serve the LORD your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

9 किनकि तिमीहरू परमप्रभुतिर फर्क्‍यौ भने, तिमीहरूका दाजुभाइ र तिमीहरूका छोराछोरीलाई कैद गरेर लैजानेहरूबाट तिनीहरूले दया पाउने छन्, र तिनीहरू यस देशमा फर्केर आउन पाउने छन्‌ । किनभने परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर दयालु र करुणामय हुनुहुन्‍छ, र तिमीहरू उहाँतर्फ फर्क्‍यौ भने, उहाँ तिमीहरूबाट फर्कनुहुने छैन ।”

For if you turn again to the LORD, your brothers and your children shall find compassion before those who led them captive, and shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him."

10 यसैले ती पत्रवाहकहरू एफ्राइम र मनश्‍शेका प्रदेशहरूभरि नै सहर-सहरमा भएर जबूलूनसम्‍मै गए, तर मानिसहरूलाई हेरेर हाँसे र तिनीहरूको गिल्‍ला गरे ।

So the couriers passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun: but they ridiculed them, and mocked them.

11 तापनि आशेर, मनश्‍शे र जबूलूनका कोही मानिसले आफैलाई नम्र तुल्‍याए र यरूशलेममा आए ।

Nevertheless some from Asher and from Manasseh and from Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.

12 परमप्रभुको वचनअनुसार राजा र तिनका अधिकारीहरूले दिएको हुकुम एकमत भई पालन गर्न परमेश्‍वरको हात यहूदाका मानिसहरूमा पनि आयो ।

Also in Judah came the hand of God to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the leaders by the word of the LORD.

13 धेरै मानिसहरू, अर्थात्‌ एउटा साह्रै ठूलो समुदाय दोस्रो महिनामा अखमिरी रोटीको चाड मान्‍न यरूशलेममा भेला भए ।

Many people assembled at Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great assembly.

14 तिनीहरू उठे र यरूशलेममा भएका वेदीहरू, र धूप बाल्‍ने सबै वेदीसमेत हटाइदिए, र तिनीहरूले तिनलाई किद्रोनको खोल्‍सामा फ्‍याँकिदिए ।

They arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the Kidron Valley.

15 तब तिनीहरूले दोस्रो महिनाको चौधौँ दिनमा निस्‍तार-चाडको थुमा मारे । पुजारीहरू र लेवीहरू साह्रै लज्‍जित भए । यसैले तिनीहरूले आफूलाई शुद्ध गरे, र परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरमा होमबलि ल्‍याए ।

Then they killed the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the cohanim and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought burnt offerings into the house of the LORD.

16 तब परमेश्‍वरका मानिस मोशाको व्‍यवस्‍थाले दिएको निर्देशनअनुसार तिनीहरू आआफ्‍नो स्‍थानमा दल-दल भएर खडा भए । पुजारीहरूले लेवीहरूबाट लिएको रगत वेदीमा छर्के ।

They stood in their place after their order, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the cohanim sprinkled the blood which they received of the hand of the Levites.

17 किनकि आफूलाई शुद्ध नपारेकाहरू समुदायमा धेरै जना थिए । यसैकारण आफैलाई शुद्ध नपारेका र परमप्रभुको सामुन्‍ने आआफ्‍नो थुमा अर्पण नगरेकाहरू सबैका निम्‍ति लेवीहरूले निस्‍तार-चाडका थुमाहरू मारे ।

For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves: therefore the Levites were in charge of killing the Passovers for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to the LORD.

18 एफ्राइम, मनश्‍शे, इस्‍साखार र जबूलूनबाट आएकामध्‍ये धेरै जनाले आफैलाई शुद्ध पारेका थिएनन्, तापनि तिनीहरूले लेखिएको निर्देशनहरूको विरुद्ध निस्‍तार-चाडको भोज खाए । किनकि हिजकियाले यसो भनेर तिनीहरूका निम्‍ति प्रार्थना गरेका थिए, “भला हुनुहुने परमप्रभुले हरेक व्‍यक्तिलाई क्षमा गर्नुभएको होस्

For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise than it is written. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, "May the good LORD pardon everyone

19 जो पवित्र स्‍थानका शुद्धीकरणको मनकबमोजिम शुद्ध नभए तापनि परमप्रभु आफ्‍ना पुर्खाहरूका परमेश्‍वरको खोजी गर्ने सङ्कल्‍प गरेको छ ।”

who sets his heart to seek God, the LORD, the God of his fathers, even if they aren't clean according to the purification of the sanctuary."

20 यसैले परमप्रभुले हिजकियाको प्रार्थना सुन्‍नुभयो, र मानिसहरूलाई निको पार्नुभयो ।

The LORD listened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

21 यरूशलेममा उपस्‍थित भएका इस्राएलका मनिसहरूले सात दिनसम्‍म ठुलो रमाहटको साथ अखमिरी रोटीको चाड मनाए । लेवीहरू र पुजारीहरूले ठुलो स्वरमा परमप्रभुका बाजाहरू बजाएर दिनहुँ परमप्रभुको प्रशंसा गरे ।

The children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the cohanim praised the LORD day by day, singing with loud instruments to the LORD.

22 परमप्रभुको सेवा बुझेका सबै लेवीलाई हिजकियाले उत्‍साहको वचनले बोले । यसरी मेलबलिका बलिदानहरू चढाउँदै, र परमप्रभु आफ्‍ना पुर्खाहरूका परमेश्‍वरसँग आफ्ना पापहरू स्वीकार गर्दै र तिनीहरूले चाडका सात दिनभरि खाँदै बिताए ।

Hezekiah spoke comfortably to all the Levites who had good understanding in the service of the LORD. So they completed the seven days of the feast, offering sacrifices of peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD, the God of their fathers.

23 सारा समुदाय अरू सात दिनसम्‍म चाड मान्‍न सहमत भए, र तिनीहरूले रमाहटसित सो गरे ।

The whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days; and they kept another seven days with gladness.

24 किनकि यहूदाका राजा हिजकियाले समुदायको निम्‍ति एक हजार साँढे र सात हजार भेडा बलिदानको रूपमा दिए । अनि अगुवाहरूले समुदायको निम्‍ति एक हजार साँढे र दश हजार भेडा दिए । ठुलो संख्यामा पुजारीहरूले आफूलाई शुद्ध पारे ।

For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly for offerings one thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep, and the leaders gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep. And a great number of cohanim sanctified themselves.

25 यहूदाका सारा समुदाय, पुजारीहरू र लेवीहरूसमेत, अनि इस्राएलबाट आएका सबै समुदायसाथ इस्राएल र यहूदामा बसोबास गर्ने विदेशीहरूले पनि रमाहट गरे ।

All the assembly of Judah, with the cohanim and the Levites, and all the assembly who came out of Israel, and the foreigners who came out of the land of Israel, and who lived in Judah, rejoiced.

26 यसरी यरूशलेममा ठुलो रमाहट भयो, किनभने त्‍यस्‍तो त इस्राएलका राजा दाऊदका छोरा सोलोमनको पालोदेखि यता त्‍यहाँ भएको थिएन ।

So there was great joy in Jerusalem; for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.

27 तब पुजारीहरू र लेवीहरू खडा भए र मानिसहरूलाई आशीर्वाद दिए । तिनीहरूको आवाज सुनियो, र तिनीहरूका प्रार्थना स्वर्गमा परमेश्‍वरको बस्‍नुहुने पवित्र वासस्‍थानसम्‍मै पुग्‍यो ।

Then the cohanim the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even to heaven.
