१ थेसलोनिकी 2
1 भाइहरू हो, तिमीहरू आफैलाई थाहा छ कि तिमीहरूमा हाम्रो आगमन बेकम्मा थिएन,
For ye your selues knowe, brethren, that our entrance in vnto you was not in vaine,
2 तर तिमीहरूलाई थाहा छ, हामीले पहिला नै कष्ट भोग्यौँ र फिलिप्पिमा हामीलाई निर्लज्जपूर्वक व्यवहार गरियो । हामी ठुलो विवादको बिचमा पनि तिमीहरूसँग परमेश्वरको सुसमाचार बताउन परमेश्वरमा साहसी भयौँ ।
But euen after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated at Philippi, (as ye knowe) we were bolde in our God, to speake vnto you the Gospell of God with much striuing.
3 किनभने हाम्रो उत्साह गलत कुराबाट होइन न त अशुद्ध, न छलबाट नै आएको हो,
For our exhortation was not by deceite, nor by vncleannes, nor by guile.
4 तर जसरी परमेश्वरले हामीहरूलाई सुसमाचार सुम्पिएको व्यक्तिको रूपमा स्वीकृति दिनुभएको छ, त्यसैले हामी मानिसलाई होइन तर हाम्रो हृदय जाँच्नुहुने परमेश्वरलाई खुसी पार्नलाई बोल्छौँ ।
But as we were allowed of God, that the Gospel should be committed vnto vs, so we speake, not as they that please men, but God, which approoueth our hearts.
5 तिमीहरूलाई थाहा छ र परमेश्वर पनि साक्षी हुनुहुन्छ कि हामीले कुनै पनि बेला चाप्लुसी गरेनौँ, न त लोभको निम्ति बहाना नै बनायौँ,
Neither yet did we euer vse flattering wordes, as ye knowe, nor coloured couetousnes, God is recorde.
6 न त हामीले मानिसहरूबाट महिमा खोज्यौँ, न त तिमीहरूबाट या अरूहरूबाट नै, जब कि हामीले ख्रीष्टको प्रेरितहरूको रूपमा विशेष सुविधाहरूको दाबी गर्न सक्थ्यौँ ।
Neither sought we prayse of men, neither of you, nor of others, when we might haue bene chargeable, as the Apostles of Christ.
7 यसको सट्टा हामीहरू तिमीहरूका माझमा एउटा आमाले आफ्ना बाल बच्चालाई सान्त्वना दिएजस्तै भद्र भयौँ ।
But we were gentle among you, euen as a nource cherisheth her children.
8 यसरी तिमीहरूप्रति हाम्रो गहिरो प्रेम थियो, हामी तिमीहरूसँग परमेश्वरको सुसमाचार बाँड्न मात्र होइन, तर हाम्रो जीवन बाँड्न पनि खुसी थियौँ किनभने तिमीहरू हाम्रो निम्ति अति प्रिय भएका छौ ।
Thus being affectioned toward you, our good will was to haue dealt vnto you, not the Gospel of God onely, but also our owne soules, because ye were deare vnto vs.
9 किनभने भाइहरू हो, तिमीहरूलाई हाम्रो परिश्रम र काम याद छ, कि हामीले तिमीहरूलाई परमेश्वरको सुसमाचार प्रचार गर्दै हामी तिमीहरू कसैलाई बोझ नबनौँ भनेर हामीले दिनरात काम गर्यौँ ।
For ye remember, brethren, our labour and trauaile: for we laboured day and night, because we would not be chargeable vnto any of you, and preached vnto you the Gospel of God.
10 हामीले तिमीहरू विश्वास गर्नेहरूसित कति पवित्रता, धार्मिकता र कपटरहित व्यवहार गर्यौँ भन्ने कुराको साक्षी तिमीहरू छौ र परमेश्वर पनि हुनुहुन्छ,
Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily, and iustly, and vnblameably we behaued our selues among you that beleeue.
11 तिमीहरूलाई पनि थाहा छ, कि हामीले तिमीहरू हरेकलाई कसरी एउटा बुबाले आफ्ना छोराछोरीलाई गरे झैँ तिमीहरूलाई उत्साह, सान्त्वना दियौँ र गवाही दियौँ,
As ye knowe how that we exhorted you, and comforted, and besought euery one of you (as a father his children)
12 कि तिमीहरू परमेश्वरको योग्यको भएर हिँड्न सक जसले तिमीहरूलाई उहाँको राज्य र महिमामा बोलाउनुहुन्छ ।
That ye would walke worthy of God, who hath called you vnto his kingdome and glorie.
13 यही कारणको निम्ति हामी परमेश्वरलाई निरन्तर धन्यवाद दिन्छौँ । किनभने तिमीहरूले जब हामीबाट परमेश्वरको वचन, सन्देशको वचन पायौ तिमीहरूले मानिसको वचनको रूपमा मात्र ग्रहण गरेनौ, तर साँच्चै परमेश्वरको वचनको रूपमा नै ग्रहण गर्यौ
For this cause also thanke we God without ceasing, that when ye receiued the worde of God, which ye heard of vs, ye receiued it not as the worde of men, but as it is in deede the worde of God, which also worketh in you that beleeue.
14 किनभने भाइहरू हो, तिमीहरू ख्रीष्ट येशूमा भएका यहूदियाका मण्डलीबिच तिमीहरू परमेश्वरको मण्डलीको नक्कल गर्नेहरू भएका छौ किनभने तिनीहरूले यहूदीहरूबाट सतावट पाएजस्तै तिमीहरू पनि आफ्नै मानिसहरूबाट सताइएका छौ ।
For brethren, ye are become folowers of the Churches of God, which in Iudea are in Christ Iesus, because ye haue also suffred the same things of your owne countrey men, euen as they haue of the Iewes,
15 जसले प्रभु येशू र अगमवक्ताहरूलाई मारे र हामीलाई पनि धपाए, जसले परमेश्वरलाई खुसी पार्दैनन, तर सबै मानिसहरूप्रति शत्रुता राख्छन् ।
Who both killed the Lord Iesus and their owne Prophets, and haue persecuted vs away, and God they please not, and are contrary to all men,
16 तिनीहरू सदैव तिनीहरूका पापहरूबाट भरिन हामीहरूलाई गैरयहूदीहरूले उद्धार पाऊन् भनेर बोल्न दिँदैनन् । तिनीहरूमाथि क्रोध चरम रूपमा आएको छ ।
And forbid vs to preach vnto the Gentiles, that they might be saued, to fulfill their sinnes alwayes: for the wrath of God is come on them, to the vtmost.
17 भाइहरू हो, हामीहरू छोटो समयको निम्ति हृदयमा होइन, तर उपस्थितिमा छुट्ट्याइएका थियौँ र हामीले तिमीहरूलाई भेट गर्नलाई सक्दो तीव्र इच्छा गर्यौँ ।
For asmuch, brethren, as we were kept from you for a season, concerning sight, but not in the heart, we enforced the more to see your face with great desire.
18 किनभने हामी तिमीहरूकहाँ आउन चाहन्थ्यौँ । म पावलले बारम्बार कोसिस गरेँ, तर शैतानले हामीलाई बाधा दियो ।
Therefore we would haue come vnto you (I Paul, at least once or twise) but Satan hindered vs.
19 किनभने हाम्रा प्रभु येशूको आगमनमा उहाँको सामु हाम्रो भविष्यको निम्ति दृढ आनन्द वा महिमाको मुकुट अरूहरू जति नै तिमीहरू नै होइनौ र?
For what is our hope or ioye, or crowne of reioycing? are not euen you it in the presence of our Lord Iesus Christ at his comming?
20 किनभने तिमीहरू हाम्रो महिमा र आनन्द हौ ।
Yea, ye are our glory and ioy.
