१ यूहन्‍ना 4

1 प्रिय हो, हरेक आत्मालाई विश्‍वास नगर, तर ती आत्माहरू परमेश्‍वरबाट आएका हुन् वा होइनन् भनी जाँच गर, किनभने धेरै झुटा अगमवक्‍ताहरू संसारमा आइसकेका छन् ।

Moost dere britheren, nyle ye bileue to ech spirit, but preue ye spiritis, if thei ben of God; for many false prophetis wenten out in to the world.

2 यसैद्वारा तिमीहरूले परमेश्‍वरको आत्मालाई चिन्‍नेछौः येशू ख्रीष्‍ट शरीरमा आउनुभयो भनी स्वीकार गर्ने हरेक आत्मा परमेश्‍वरको हो ।

In this thing the spirit of God is knowun; ech spirit that knowlechith that Jhesu Crist hath come in fleisch, is of God;

3 अनि येशूलाई स्वीकार नगर्ने हरेक आत्मा परमेश्‍वरको होइन । यो ख्रीष्‍ट विरोधी आत्मा हो, जुन तिमीहरूले संसारमा आउँदै छ भनी सुनेका छौ, र त्यो संसारमा अगिदेखि नै छ ।

and ech spirit that fordoith Jhesu, is not of God. And this is antecrist, of whom ye herden, that he cometh; and riyt now he is in the world.

4 मेरा प्रिय बालकहरू हो, तिमीहरू परमेश्‍वरका हौ, र तिमीहरूले ती आत्माहरूलाई जितेका छौ, किनभने तिमीहरूमा जो हुनुहुन्छ उहाँ संसारमा हुनेभन्दा महान् हुनुहुन्छ ।

Ye, litle sones, ben of God, and ye han ouercome hym; for he that is in you is more, than he that is in the world.

5 ती आत्माहरू संसारका हुन्, यसकारण, तिनीहरूले भनेका कुराहरू संसारकै हुन्, र संसारले तिनीहरूको कुरा सुन्छ ।

Thei ben of the world, therfor thei speken of the world, and the world herith hem.

6 हामी परमेश्‍वरका हौँ । जसले परमेश्‍वरलाई चिन्छ, त्यसले हाम्रो कुरा सुन्छ । जो परमेश्‍वरका होइनन्, त्यसले हाम्रो कुरा सुन्दैन । यसैद्वारा हामी सत्यको आत्मा र झुटको आत्मालाई चिन्छौँ ।

We ben of God; he that knowith God, herith vs; he that is not of God, herith not vs. In this thing we knowen the spirit of treuthe, and the spirit of errour.

7 प्रिय हो, एक अर्कालाई प्रेम गरौँ, किनकि प्रेम परमेश्‍वरको हो, र हरेक जसले प्रेम गर्छ, त्यो परमेश्‍वरबाट जन्मेको हो र त्यसले परमेश्‍वरलाई चिन्छ ।

Moost dere britheren, loue we togidere, for charite is of God; and ech that loueth his brother, is borun of God, and knowith God.

8 जसले प्रेम गर्दैन, त्यसले परमेश्‍वरलाई चिन्दैन, किनभने परमेश्‍वर प्रेम हुनुहुन्छ ।

He that loueth not, knowith not God; for God is charite.

9 यसैमा परमेश्‍वरको प्रेम हामीहरूमाझ प्रकट भएको छ, कि जसद्वारा हामी जिउन सकौँ भनेर परमेश्‍वरले संसारमा उहाँका एक मात्र पुत्र पठाउनुभएको छ ।

In this thing the charite of God apperide in vs, for God sente hise oon bigetun sone in to the world, that we lyue bi hym.

10 यसैमा उहाँको प्रेम छ, हामीले परमेश्‍वरलाई प्रेम गरेकाले होइन, तर उहाँले हामीलाई प्रेम गर्नुभएको छ, अनि हाम्रा पापहरूका लागि प्रायश्‍चित्त हुन उहाँका पुत्र पठाउनुभयो ।

In this thing is charite, not as we hadden loued God, but for he firste louede vs, and sente hise sone foryyuenesse for oure synnes.

11 प्रिय हो, परमेश्‍वरले हामीलाई यति धेरै प्रेम गर्नुभयो भने हामीले पनि एक अर्कालाई प्रेम गर्नुपर्छ ।

Ye moost dere britheren, if God louede vs, we owen to loue ech other.

12 परमेश्‍वरलाई कसैले कहिल्यै देखेको छैन । यदि हामी एक अर्कालाई प्रेम गर्छौं भने परमेश्‍वर हामीमा रहनुहुन्छ, र उहाँको प्रेम हामीमा सिद्ध भएको हुन्छ ।

No man say euer God; if we louen togidre, God dwellith in vs, and the charite of hym is perfit in vs.

13 यसैद्वारा हामी जान्दछौँ, कि हामी उहाँमा रहन्छौँ र उहाँ हामीमा रहनुहुन्छ, किनभने उहाँले हामीलाई उहाँका आत्मा दिनुभएको छ ।

In this thing we knowen, that we dwellen in hym, and he in vs; for of his spirit he yaf to vs.

14 अनि हामीले देखेका छौँ र गवाही दिएका छौँ, कि पिताले संसारको मुक्‍तिदाता हुन पुत्रलाई पठाउनुभएको छ ।

And we sayen, and witnessen, that the fadir sente his sone sauyour of the world.

15 जसले येशू परमेश्‍वरको पुत्र हुनुहुन्छ भनी स्वीकार गर्छ, परमेश्‍वर त्यसमा रहनुहुन्छ र त्यो परमेश्‍वरमा रहन्छ ।

Who euer knowlechith, that Jhesu is the sone of God, God dwellith in him, and he in God.

16 अनि हामीप्रति परमेश्‍वरले गर्नुभएको प्रेमलाई हामीले जानेका छौँ र विश्‍वास गरेका छौँ । परमेश्‍वर प्रेम हुनुहुन्छ र जो प्रेममा रहन्छ, त्यो परमेश्‍वरमा रहन्छ, र परमेश्‍वर त्यसमा रहनुहुन्छ ।

And we han knowun, and bileuen to the charite, that God hath in vs. God is charite, and he that dwellith in charite, dwellith in God, and God in hym.

17 न्यायको दिनमा हामीमा दृढता होस् भनेर यसैमा प्रेम हामीमाझ सिद्ध बनाइएको छ, किनभने उहाँ जस्तो हुनुहुन्छ, हामी यस संसारमा त्यस्तै छौँ ।

In this thing is the perfit charite of God with vs, that we haue trist in the dai of dom; for as he is, also we ben in this world.

18 प्रेममा कुनै डर हुँदैन । तर सिद्ध प्रेमले डरलाई हटाउँछ, किनभने डरले दण्डसँग सरोकार राख्छ । तर जो डराउँछ, त्यो प्रेममा सिद्ध बनाइएको हुँदैन ।

Drede is not in charite, but perfit charite puttith out drede; for drede hath peyne. But he that dredith, is not perfit in charite.

19 हामी प्रेम गर्दछौँ, किनभने परमेश्‍वरले हामीलाई पहिले प्रेम गर्नुभयो ।

Therfor loue we God, for he louede vs bifore.

20 कसैले “म परमेश्‍वरलाई प्रेम गर्छु” भन्छ तर आफ्नो भाइलाई घृणा गर्छ भने, त्यो झुटो हो, किनकि त्यसले देखेको आफ्नो भाइलाई प्रेम गर्दैन भने त्यसले नदेखेको परमेश्‍वरलाई प्रेम गर्न सक्दैन ।

If ony man seith, that `Y loue God, and hatith his brother, he is a liere. For he that loueth not his brothir, which he seeth, hou mai he loue God, whom he seeth not?

21 अनि उहाँबाटको यो आज्ञा हामीसँग छ, कि जसले परमेश्‍वरलाई प्रेम गर्छ, त्यसले आफ्नो भाइलाई पनि प्रेम गर्नुपर्छ ।

And we han this comaundement of God, that he that loueth God, loue also his brothir.
