१ यूहन्ना 4
1 प्रिय हो, हरेक आत्मालाई विश्वास नगर, तर ती आत्माहरू परमेश्वरबाट आएका हुन् वा होइनन् भनी जाँच गर, किनभने धेरै झुटा अगमवक्ताहरू संसारमा आइसकेका छन् ।
Dear friends, don't trust every spirit, but put the spirits to the test to find out whether they're from God, for there are many false prophets out there in the world.
2 यसैद्वारा तिमीहरूले परमेश्वरको आत्मालाई चिन्नेछौः येशू ख्रीष्ट शरीरमा आउनुभयो भनी स्वीकार गर्ने हरेक आत्मा परमेश्वरको हो ।
How can you recognize God's Spirit? Every spirit that accepts Jesus Christ came with a human body is from God;
3 अनि येशूलाई स्वीकार नगर्ने हरेक आत्मा परमेश्वरको होइन । यो ख्रीष्ट विरोधी आत्मा हो, जुन तिमीहरूले संसारमा आउँदै छ भनी सुनेका छौ, र त्यो संसारमा अगिदेखि नै छ ।
while every spirit that doesn't accept Jesus, that spirit isn't from God. In fact it is the spirit of the antichrist which you heard was coming, and which is already in the world.
4 मेरा प्रिय बालकहरू हो, तिमीहरू परमेश्वरका हौ, र तिमीहरूले ती आत्माहरूलाई जितेका छौ, किनभने तिमीहरूमा जो हुनुहुन्छ उहाँ संसारमा हुनेभन्दा महान् हुनुहुन्छ ।
But you belong to God, my friends, and you have defeated them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
5 ती आत्माहरू संसारका हुन्, यसकारण, तिनीहरूले भनेका कुराहरू संसारकै हुन्, र संसारले तिनीहरूको कुरा सुन्छ ।
They belong to the world, so they speak like people of the world, and the world listens to them.
6 हामी परमेश्वरका हौँ । जसले परमेश्वरलाई चिन्छ, त्यसले हाम्रो कुरा सुन्छ । जो परमेश्वरका होइनन्, त्यसले हाम्रो कुरा सुन्दैन । यसैद्वारा हामी सत्यको आत्मा र झुटको आत्मालाई चिन्छौँ ।
We belong to God and whoever knows God listens to us, while whoever doesn't belong to God doesn't listen to us. This is how we can distinguish the spirit of truth from the spirit of deception.
7 प्रिय हो, एक अर्कालाई प्रेम गरौँ, किनकि प्रेम परमेश्वरको हो, र हरेक जसले प्रेम गर्छ, त्यो परमेश्वरबाट जन्मेको हो र त्यसले परमेश्वरलाई चिन्छ ।
Dear friends, let's go on loving one another, for love comes from God. All those who love are born of God and know God.
8 जसले प्रेम गर्दैन, त्यसले परमेश्वरलाई चिन्दैन, किनभने परमेश्वर प्रेम हुनुहुन्छ ।
Those who don't love don't know God, for God is love.
9 यसैमा परमेश्वरको प्रेम हामीहरूमाझ प्रकट भएको छ, कि जसद्वारा हामी जिउन सकौँ भनेर परमेश्वरले संसारमा उहाँका एक मात्र पुत्र पठाउनुभएको छ ।
How was God's love shown to us? God sent his one and only Son into the world so that we could live through him.
10 यसैमा उहाँको प्रेम छ, हामीले परमेश्वरलाई प्रेम गरेकाले होइन, तर उहाँले हामीलाई प्रेम गर्नुभएको छ, अनि हाम्रा पापहरूका लागि प्रायश्चित्त हुन उहाँका पुत्र पठाउनुभयो ।
This is love! It's not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and he sent his Son to be the reconciliation for our sins.
11 प्रिय हो, परमेश्वरले हामीलाई यति धेरै प्रेम गर्नुभयो भने हामीले पनि एक अर्कालाई प्रेम गर्नुपर्छ ।
Friends, if this is the way God loves us, we ought to love one another like this too.
12 परमेश्वरलाई कसैले कहिल्यै देखेको छैन । यदि हामी एक अर्कालाई प्रेम गर्छौं भने परमेश्वर हामीमा रहनुहुन्छ, र उहाँको प्रेम हामीमा सिद्ध भएको हुन्छ ।
No one has ever seen God. However, if we love one another then God lives in us, and his love is fulfilled in us.
13 यसैद्वारा हामी जान्दछौँ, कि हामी उहाँमा रहन्छौँ र उहाँ हामीमा रहनुहुन्छ, किनभने उहाँले हामीलाई उहाँका आत्मा दिनुभएको छ ।
How can we know that we live in him, and that he lives in us? He's given us the ability to love by his Spirit.
14 अनि हामीले देखेका छौँ र गवाही दिएका छौँ, कि पिताले संसारको मुक्तिदाता हुन पुत्रलाई पठाउनुभएको छ ।
For we are witnesses to what we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son as the Savior of the world.
15 जसले येशू परमेश्वरको पुत्र हुनुहुन्छ भनी स्वीकार गर्छ, परमेश्वर त्यसमा रहनुहुन्छ र त्यो परमेश्वरमा रहन्छ ।
God lives in everyone who declares that Jesus is the Son of God, and they live in God.
16 अनि हामीप्रति परमेश्वरले गर्नुभएको प्रेमलाई हामीले जानेका छौँ र विश्वास गरेका छौँ । परमेश्वर प्रेम हुनुहुन्छ र जो प्रेममा रहन्छ, त्यो परमेश्वरमा रहन्छ, र परमेश्वर त्यसमा रहनुहुन्छ ।
We have experienced and trusted in the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who live in love, live in God, and God lives in them.
17 न्यायको दिनमा हामीमा दृढता होस् भनेर यसैमा प्रेम हामीमाझ सिद्ध बनाइएको छ, किनभने उहाँ जस्तो हुनुहुन्छ, हामी यस संसारमा त्यस्तै छौँ ।
This is how love is made complete in us so that we can be confident on judgment day: by the fact that we live just like him in this world.
18 प्रेममा कुनै डर हुँदैन । तर सिद्ध प्रेमले डरलाई हटाउँछ, किनभने डरले दण्डसँग सरोकार राख्छ । तर जो डराउँछ, त्यो प्रेममा सिद्ध बनाइएको हुँदैन ।
Where there is love there can be no fear. God loves us completely, and this love drives all our fears away. If we do fear, it's because we fear being punished, and this shows that we have not been fully re-made by the completeness of God's love.
19 हामी प्रेम गर्दछौँ, किनभने परमेश्वरले हामीलाई पहिले प्रेम गर्नुभयो ।
We love because he loved us first.
20 कसैले “म परमेश्वरलाई प्रेम गर्छु” भन्छ तर आफ्नो भाइलाई घृणा गर्छ भने, त्यो झुटो हो, किनकि त्यसले देखेको आफ्नो भाइलाई प्रेम गर्दैन भने त्यसले नदेखेको परमेश्वरलाई प्रेम गर्न सक्दैन ।
Anyone who says, “I love God,” but hates a Christian brother or sister, is a liar. Anyone who doesn't love a brother whom they can see, can't love God whom they can't see.
21 अनि उहाँबाटको यो आज्ञा हामीसँग छ, कि जसले परमेश्वरलाई प्रेम गर्छ, त्यसले आफ्नो भाइलाई पनि प्रेम गर्नुपर्छ ।
This is the command he gave to us: those who love God love their brothers and sisters too.
