१ कोरिन्थी 14
1 प्रेममा लागिरहो र आत्मिक वरदानहरूका लागि जोसिलो होओ, विशेष गरी अगमवाणी बोल्ने चाहना गर ।
Pursue love, and earnestly seek the spiritual things, and rather that you may prophesy,
2 किनभने अन्य भाषामा बोल्नेले मानिसहरूसँग होइन, तर परमेश्वरसँग बोल्दछ । उसले गुप्त कुराहरूलाई आत्मामा बोल्दछ र उसको कुरा कसैले पनि बुझ्न सक्दैन ।
for he who is speaking in an [unknown] tongue—he does not speak to men, but to God, for no one listens, and he speaks secrets in spirit;
3 तर अगमवाणी गर्नेले मानिसहरूसँग बोलेर तिनीहरूलाई निर्माण गर्ने, उत्साह प्रदान गर्ने र सान्त्वना दिने काम गर्दछ ।
and he who is prophesying to men speaks edification, and exhortation, and comfort;
4 अन्य भाषामा बोल्नेले आफैँलाई निर्माण गर्छ तर अगमवाणी गर्नेले मण्डलीलाई निर्माण गर्दछ ।
he who is speaking in an [unknown] tongue, edifies himself, and he who is prophesying, edifies the Assembly;
5 तिमीहरू सबै जना अन्य भाषा बोल भन्ने म चाहना गर्दछु । तर त्योभन्दा पनि अझ बढी अगमवाणी गर भन्ने म चाहना गर्दछु । (मण्डली वृद्धि होस् भनेर कसैले त्यसको अर्थ नखोलेसम्म) अन्य भाषा बोल्नेभन्दा पनि अगमवाणी गर्ने महान् हुन्छ ।
and I wish you all to speak with tongues, and more that you may prophesy, for greater is he who is prophesying than he who is speaking with tongues, except one may interpret, that the Assembly may receive edification.
6 तर भाइहरू हो, यदि म तिमीहरूकहाँ अन्य भाषामा बोल्दै आएँ भने मैले तिमीहरूलाई कसरी फाइदा पुर्याउँछु र? जबसम्म मैले प्रकाश वा ज्ञानमा वा अगमवाणी वा शिक्षाको लागि मा तिमीहरूसँग बोल्दिनँ तबसम्म फाइदा पुर्याउँदिनँ ।
And now, brothers, if I may come to you speaking tongues, what will I profit you, except I will speak to you either in revelation, or in knowledge, or in prophesying, or in teaching?
7 यदि मुरली वा वीणाजस्ता निर्जीव साधनहरूले फरक खालका आवाजहरू निकाल्दैनन् भने कसैले कसरी कुनचाहिँ साधन बजाइएको हो भनेर जान्न सक्छ?
Yet the things without life giving sound—whether pipe or harp—if they may not give a difference in the sounds, how will be known that which is piped or that which is harped?
8 यदि तुरहीलाई नचिनिने आवाजमा बजाउने हो भने कसरी कसैले लडाइँको लागि तयार हुने समय हो भनेर जान्ने?
For also, if a trumpet may give an uncertain sound, who will prepare himself for battle?
9 तिमीहरूका लागि पनि त्यस्तै हो । यदि तिमीहरूले नबुझिने तरिकाले बोल्यौ भने तिमीहरूले बोलेका कुरा कसरी बुझ्ने? तिमीहरू बोलिरहन्छौ र कसैले पनि तिमीहरूको कुरा बुझ्नेछैन ।
So also you, if you may not give speech easily understood through the tongue—how will that which is spoken be known? For you will be speaking to air.
10 संसारमा धेरै भाषाहरू छन् भन्ने कुरामा कुनै शङ्का छैन र कुनै पनि अर्थ बिनाका छैनन् ।
There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is unmeaning.
11 तर यदि मैले भाषाको अर्थ बुझिनँ भने म त्यस व्यक्तिको लागि र त्यो व्यक्ति मेरो लागि विदेशी हुनेछ ।
If, then, I do not know the power of the voice, I will be a foreigner to him who is speaking, and he who is speaking is a foreigner to me;
12 तिमीहरूका निम्ति पनि यस्तै हो । तिमीहरू आत्माको प्रकटीकरणको लागि उत्सुक भएझैँ मण्डलीलाई निर्माण गर्ने कार्यमा जोसिलो बन ।
so you also, since you are earnestly desirous of spiritual gifts, seek for the building up of the Assembly that you may abound;
13 यसरी नै अन्य भाषामा बोल्ने व्यक्तिले त्यसको अर्थ खोल्न सकोस् भनेर प्रार्थना गरोस् ।
for this reason he who is speaking in an [unknown] tongue—let him pray that he may interpret;
14 किनकि यदि मैले अन्य भाषामा प्राथना गर्छु भने मेरो आत्माले प्रार्थना गर्छ तर मेरो दिमागचाहिँ निष्फल हुन्छ ।
for if I pray in an [unknown] tongue, my spirit prays, and my understanding is unfruitful.
15 मैले के गर्ने त? म मेरो आत्माले प्रार्थना गर्नेछु, तर म मेरो दिमागले पनि प्रार्थना गर्नेछु । म मेरो आत्माले गाउनेछु र म मेरो दिमागले पनि गाउनेछु ।
What then is it? I will pray [in] the spirit, and I will also pray [with] understanding; I will sing psalms [in] the spirit, and I will also sing psalms [with] understanding;
16 नत्रता यदि तिमीले आत्मामा धन्यवाद दिँदा यदि तिमीले भनेका कुरा बाहिरकाहरूले बुझेनन् भने कसरी तिनीहरूले आमेन भन्ने?
since, if you may bless in spirit, he who is filling the place of the commoner, how will he say the Amen at your giving of thanks, since he has not known what you say?
17 किनकि तिमीले त निश्चय नै प्रशस्त मात्रामा धन्यवाद दिन्छौ, तर त्यसले अर्को व्यक्तिको वृद्धि गर्दैन ।
For you, indeed, give thanks well, but the other is not built up!
18 म परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिन्छु कि म तिनीहरू सबैभन्दा बढी नै अन्य भाषाहरूमा बोल्दछु ।
I give thanks to my God—more than you all with tongues speaking—
19 तर म मण्डलीमा अन्य भाषामा दस हजारवटा शब्द बोल्नुको साटो आफ्नै समझमा पाँचवटा शब्द बोल्न चाहन्छु ।
but I wish to speak five words in an assembly through my understanding, that I also may instruct others, rather than myriads of words in an [unknown] tongue.
20 भाइहरू हो, आफ्नो सोचाइमा बालक नबन । खराबीको निम्ति बालक बन । तर आफ्नो सोचाइमा परिपक्व बन ।
Brothers, do not become children in the understanding, but in the evil be children, and in the understanding become perfect;
21 व्यवस्थामा यस्तो लेखिएको छ “अनौठो भाषामा बोल्ने मानिसहरूद्वारा र विदेशीहरूका ओठद्वारा म यी मानिसहरूसँग बोल्नेछु, तर पनि तिनीहरूले मलाई सुन्नेछैनन्” परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
in the Law it has been written, that, “With other tongues and with other lips I will speak to this people, and even so they will not hear Me, says the LORD”;
22 त्यसकारण, अन्य भाषा विश्वास नगर्नेहरूको लागि चिह्न हो, विश्वासीहरूको लागि होइन । तर अगमवाणीचाहिँ विश्वासीहरूका लागि चिह्न हो, विश्वास नगर्नेहरूका लागि होइन ।
so that the tongues are for a sign, not to the believing, but to the unbelieving; and the prophecy [is] not for the unbelieving, but for the believing.
23 त्यसकारण, यदि सम्पूर्ण मण्डली भेला हुँदा सबै जनाले अन्य भाषा बोल्दा बाहिरकाहरू तथा विश्वास नगर्नेहरू त्यहाँ आउँदा तिनीहरूले तिमीहरू पागल हौ भनेर भन्दैनन् र?
If, therefore, the whole assembly may come together to the same place, and all may speak with tongues, and there may come in commoners or unbelievers, will they not say that you are mad?
24 तर तिनीहरू सबै जनाले नै अगमवाणी गर्छौ र कोही अविश्वासी वा बाहिरको व्यक्ति भित्र आयो भने उसले सुनेको कुराले उसलाई पापको बोध हुनेछ । भनिएका सबै कुराहरूद्वारा ऊ जाँचिनेछ ।
And if all may prophesy, and anyone may come in, an unbeliever or commoner, he is convicted by all, he is discerned by all,
25 उसको हृदयका गोप्य कुराहरू प्रकट हुन्छन् । परिणामस्वरूप, उसले परमेश्वरको सामु घोप्टो परी आराधना गर्नेछ । उसले परमेश्वर साँच्चै तिनीहरूका बिचमा हुनुहुन्छ भनेर घोषणा गर्नेछ ।
and so the secrets of his heart become visible, and so having fallen on [his] face, he will worship God, declaring that God really is among you.
26 भाइहरू हो, अब के त? जब तिमीहरू भेला हुन्छौ, तब कसैसँग भजन, शिक्षा, प्रकाश, अन्य भाषा वा अर्थ खोल्ने काम हुन्छ । सबै कुरा मण्डलीको वृद्धिको लागि गर ।
What then is it, brothers? Whenever you may come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be for building up;
27 यदि कसैले अन्य भाषामा बोल्छ भने दुई वा तिनले पालैपालो बोलून् । र कसैले बोलिएको कुराको अर्थ खोलोस् ।
if anyone speaks an [unknown] tongue, by two, or at the most, by three, and in turn, and let one interpret;
28 तर यदि त्यहाँ अर्थ खोल्ने कोही पनि छैन भने मण्डलीमा रहेको हरेक व्यक्ति चुप बसोस् । ऊ आफैँ र परमेश्वरसँग एकलै बोलोस् ।
and if there may be no interpreter, let him be silent in an assembly, and let him speak to himself, and to God.
29 दुई वा तिन जना अगमवक्ता बोलून् र अरूले त्यो भनिएको कुरालाई ध्यानसँग त्यसको जाँच गर्दै सुनून् ।
And prophets—let two or three speak, and let the others discern,
30 तर यदि त्यो सेवामा बसिरहेको कसैलाई अन्तर्दृष्टि प्राप्त भयो भने बोलिरहेको व्यक्ति चुप लागोस् ।
and if [anything] may be revealed to another [who is] sitting, let the first be silent;
31 किनकि तिमीहरू एक-एक गरेर हरेक व्यक्तिले अगमवाणी गर्न सक्छौ ताकि हरेकले सिक्न सकोस् र सबै जना नै उत्साहित बनून् ।
for you are able, one by one, all to prophesy, that all may learn, and all may be exhorted,
32 अगमवक्ताका आत्माहरू अगमवक्ताकै नियन्त्रणमा हुन्छन् ।
and the spiritual gift of prophets are subject to prophets,
33 किनकि परमेश्वर अन्योलका होइन तर शान्तिका परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ । विश्वासीहरूका अन्य मण्डलीहरूमा भएजस्तै
for God is not [a God] of tumult, but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the holy ones.
34 स्त्रीहरू मण्डलीहरूमा चुपचाप रहून् । किनकि तिनीहरूलाई बोल्नका लागि अनुमति दिइएको छैन । बरु, तिनीहरू व्यवस्थाले भनेअनुसार समर्पित हुनुपर्छ ।
Your women, let them be silent in the assemblies, for it has not been permitted to them to speak, but to be subject, as the Law also says;
35 यदि तिनीहरूले केही सिक्ने चाहना गर्छन् भने तिनीहरूले आफ्ना घरमा तिनीहरूका पतिहरूलाई सोधून् । किनकि स्त्रीहरू मण्डलीमा बोल्नु शर्मको कुरो हो ।
and if they wish to learn anything, let them question their own husbands at home, for it is a shame to women to speak in an assembly.
36 के परमेश्वरको वचन तिमीहरूबाट आएको थियो? के यो तिमीहरूकहाँ मात्र आएको थियो?
Did the word of God come forth from you? Or did it come to you alone?
37 यदि कसैले आफैँलाई अगमवक्ता वा आत्मिक सम्झन्छ भने मैले तिमीलाई लेखेका कुराहरू परमप्रभुका आज्ञाहरू हुन् भनी उसले स्वीकार गर्नुपर्छ ।
If anyone thinks to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge the things that I write to you—that they are commands of the LORD;
38 तर यदि कसैले यसलाई स्वीकार गर्दैन भने उसलाई पनि स्वीकार नगरियोस् ।
and if anyone is ignorant—let him be ignorant;
39 यसैले भाइहरू हो, अगमवाणी गर्ने दृढ चाहना गर र कसैलाई पनि अन्य भाषा बोल्नदेखि नरोक ।
so that, brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues;
40 तर सबै कामहरू उचित तरिकाले र व्यवस्थित रूपमा गर ।
let all things be done decently and in order.
