१ कोरिन्थी 1
1 परमेश्वरको इच्छाद्वारा येशूका प्रेरित हुन बोलाइएका पावल र हाम्रा भाइ सोस्थेनसबाट ।
Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
2 कोरिन्थमा भएको परमेश्वरको मण्डलीलाई, ख्रीष्ट येशूमा समर्पित गरिएका र पवित्र जनहरू हुनको लागि बोलाइएकाहरूलाई । हामी हरेक ठाउँमा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टको नाउँ लिनेहरू सबैलाई पनि लेखिरहेका छौँ, जो तिनीहरू र हाम्रा प्रभु हुनुहुन्छ ।
to the church of God in Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be saints, together with all who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:
3 हाम्रा परमेश्वर पिता र ख्रीष्ट येशूबाट तिमीहरूलाई अनुग्रह र शान्ति ।
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 ख्रीष्ट येशूले तिमीहरूलाई दिनुभएको परमेश्वरको अनुग्रहको निम्ति म परमेश्वरलाई सधैँ धन्यवाद दिन्छु ।
I always give thanks to my God for you because of the grace of God that has been given to you in Christ Jesus.
5 उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई सारा बोली र ज्ञानमा हर प्रकारले धनी बनाउनुभएको छ ।
For you have been enriched in him in every way, in all speech and all knowledge,
6 ख्रीष्टको विषयमा भएको गवाही सत्य छ भनेर तिमीहरूका माझमा पुष्टि भएको छ,
just as the testimony of Christ was confirmed among you,
7 ताकि तिमीहरूले उत्सुकतासाथ हाम्रा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्ट प्रकट हुने कुराको प्रतीक्षा गर्दा तिमीहरूमा आत्मिक वरदानहरूको अभाव नहोस् ।
so that you are not lacking in any gift as you eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
8 तिमीहरू हाम्रा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टको दिनमा निर्दोष हुन सक भन्ने हेतुले उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई अन्तिमसम्म नै सुदृढ राख्नुहुनेछ ।
He will strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 परमेश्वर विश्वासयोग्य हुनुहुन्छ, जसले तिमीहरूलाई उहाँका पुत्र येशू ख्रीष्ट हाम्रा प्रभुको सङ्गतिमा बोलाउनुभयो ।
God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 अब भाइहरू हो, हाम्रा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टको नाउँद्वारा म तिमीहरूलाई आग्रह गर्छु, कि तिमीहरू सबै सहमत होओ र तिमीहरूका माझमा फाटो नहोस् । म आग्रह गर्छु कि तिमीहरू एकै मनको र एउटै उद्देश्यका साथ एकजुट होओ ।
Now I urge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be knit together in the same mind and in the same purpose.
11 किनकि तिमीहरूका माझमा गुटबन्दी छ भन्ने कुरा क्लोएका मानिसहरूले मलाई बताएका छन् ।
For it has been disclosed to me about you, my brothers, by those of Chloe's household, that there are quarrels among you.
12 मेरो भनाइको अर्थ यही हो कि तिमीहरूमध्ये कसैले “म पावलको हुँ”, कसैले “म अपोल्लोसको हुँ”, कसैले “म केफासको हुँ” र कसैले “म ख्रीष्टको हुँ” भन्छौ ।
What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul,” while another says, “I follow Apollos,” or, “I follow Cephas,” or, “I follow Christ.”
13 के ख्रीष्ट बाँडिनुभएको छ र? के पावल तिमीहरूका निम्ति क्रुसमा टाँगिए र? के तिमीहरूले पावलको नाउँमा बप्तिस्मा लियौ र?
Has Christ been divided? Was Paul crucified for you, or were you baptized into the name of Paul?
14 म परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिन्छु कि मैले क्रिस्पस र गायसबाहेक अरू कसैलाई पनि बप्तिस्मा दिइनँ ।
I give thanks to God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius,
15 तिमीहरूले मेरो नाउँमा बप्तिस्मा लियौ भनी कसैले भन्न सक्दैन ।
so that no one may say that I baptized into my own name.
16 (मैले स्तिफनसको परिवारलाई पनि बप्तिस्मा दिएँ । त्योभन्दा बढी अरू व्यक्तिलाई मैले बप्तिस्मा दिएको मलाई सम्झना छैन ।)
(I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Beyond that, I do not recall if I baptized anyone else.)
17 किनकि येशूले मलाई बप्तिस्मा दिनलाई होइन, तर प्रचार गर्नलाई पठाउनुभयो । ख्रीष्टको क्रुस शक्तिहीन नबनाइयोस् भनेर उहाँले मलाई मानवीय बुद्धिका वचनहरूद्वारा प्रचार गर्न पठाउनुभएन ।
For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, and not with cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be deprived of its power.
18 किनकि क्रुसको सन्देश मरिरहेकाहरूका निम्ति मूर्खता हो, तर परमेश्वरले बचाइरहनुभएका मानिसहरूका लागि शक्ति हो ।
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19 किनकि यस्तो लेखिएको छ, “म बुद्धिमान्हरूको बुद्धि नष्ट गर्नेछु । म चतुरहरूको समझलाई बेकम्मा तुल्याउनेछु ।”
For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the intelligence of the intelligent I will nullify.”
20 बुद्धिमान् कहाँ छ? शिक्षित कहाँ छ? यो संसारको तर्क गर्ने कहाँ छ? के परमेश्वरले संसारको ज्ञानलाई मूर्खतामा परिणत गर्नुभएको छैन र? (aiōn g165)
Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made the wisdom of this world foolish? (aiōn g165)
21 संसारले आफ्नो बुद्धिले परमेश्वरलाई चिनेन । यसको ज्ञानले उहाँलाई चिन्न नसकेको हुनाले विश्वास गर्नेहरूलाई प्रचारको मूर्खताद्वारा बचाउन परमेश्वरलाई उचित लाग्यो ।
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of our proclamation to save those who believe.
22 किनकि यहूदीहरू चिन्ह माग्छन्, र ग्रिकहरू ज्ञानको खोजी गर्छन् ।
For Jews ask for a sign and Greeks seek wisdom,
23 तर हामीचाहिँ क्रुसमा मर्नुभएका येशूको प्रचार गर्छौ, जुन यहूदीहरूका निम्ति ठेस लाग्ने ढुङ्गो हो, र ग्रिकहरूका निम्ति मूर्खता हो ।
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,
24 तर तिनीहरू अर्थात् यहूदी र ग्रिक दुवै जसलाई परमेश्वरले बोलाउनुभएको छ, तिनीहरूका माझमा हामी ख्रीष्टलाई परमेश्वरको शक्ति र बुद्धिको रूपमा प्रचार गर्छौं ।
but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
25 किनकि परमेश्वरको मूर्खता मानिसभन्दा बुद्धिमानी छ, र परमेश्वरको दुर्बलता मानिसभन्दा शक्तिशाली छ ।
For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 भाइहरू हो, आफ्नो बोलावटलाई हेर । तिमीहरूमध्ये धेरै जना मानिसको स्तरको मापमा बुद्धिमान् थिएनौ । तिमीहरूमध्ये धेरै जना शक्तिशाली थिएनौ । तिमीहरूमध्ये धेरै जनाको जन्म महान् थिएन ।
Consider your calling, brothers, that not many of you were wise according to the flesh, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.
27 तर परमेश्वरले बुद्धिमान्हरूलाई शर्ममा पार्नको लागि संसारका मूर्ख कुराहरूलाई छान्नुभयो । संसारमा भएका बलियालाई शर्ममा पार्नको निम्ति परमेश्वरले दुर्बल कुरालाई छान्नुभयो ।
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
28 परमेश्वरले संसारमा भएको नीच र तुच्छ ठहरिएको कुरालाई छान्नुभयो । उहाँले नगण्य कुराहरू मूल्यवान् ठहरिऊन् भनेर नगण्य कुराहरूलाई छान्नुभयो ।
God chose what is lowly and despised in the world, things that are regarded as nothing, to nullify the things that are regarded as something,
29 उहाँको अगि कसैले पनि घमण्ड नगरोस् भनेर नै उहाँले यसो गर्नुभयो ।
so that no flesh might boast before God.
30 परमेश्वरले जे गर्नुभयो, त्यसैको कारण तिमीहरू अहिले ख्रीष्टमा छौ, जो हाम्रा निम्ति परमेश्वरबाट आउनुभएका बुद्धि बन्नुभयो । उहाँ हाम्रो धार्मिकता, पवित्रता र छुटकारा बन्नुभयो ।
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God, and in whom we have righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.
31 यसैले धर्मशास्त्र भन्दछ, “गर्व गर्नेले परमेश्वरमा नै गर्व गरोस् ।”
Therefore, as it is written, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
