1 इस्राएलका छोराहरू यिनै थिएः रूबेन, शिमियोन, लेवी, यहूदा, इस्‍साखार, जबूलून,

These [are] the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

2 दान, योसेफ, बेन्‍यामीन, नप्‍ताली, गाद र आशेर ।

Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

3 यहूदाका छोराहरू एर्, ओनान र शेलह जसलाई एक जना कनानी स्‍त्री शूआले तिनीबाट जन्‍माइन्‌ । यहूदाका जेठा छोरा एर्‌ परमप्रभुको दृष्‍टिमा दुष्‍ट भएका हुनाले परमप्रभुले तिनलाई मार्नुभयो ।

The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: [which] three were born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the first-born of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him.

4 तिनकी बुहारी तामारले तिनको निम्‍ति फारेस र जेरहलाई जन्‍माइन्‌ । यहूदा जम्‍मा पाँच जना छोराहरू थिए ।

And Tamar his daughter-in-law bore him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah [were] five.

5 फारेसका छोराहरू हेस्रोन र हामूल थिए ।

The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.

6 जेरहका छोराहरू जिम्री, एतान, हेमान, कलकोल र दर्दा, जम्‍मा पाँच जना थिए ।

And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.

7 कर्मीका छोरा आचारले परमेश्‍वरको निम्ति अर्पण गरिएको कुरा चोरेर इस्राएलमाथि कष्‍ट ल्‍याए ।

And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.

8 एतानका छोरा अजर्याह थिए ।

And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.

9 हेस्रोनका छोराहरू यरहमेल, राम र कालेब थिए ।

The sons also of Hezron, that were born to him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

10 राम अम्‍मीनादाबका पिता बने, र अम्‍मीनादाब नहशोनका पिता बने, जो यहूदाका एक अगुवा थिए ।

And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;

11 नहशोन सल्‍मोनका पिता बने, र सल्‍मोन बोअजका पिता बने ।

And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

12 बोअज ओबेदका पिता बने, र ओबेद यिशैका पिता बने ।

And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

13 यिशैचाहिं जेठा एलीआब, माहिला अबीनादाब, साहिंला शिमेअ,

And Jesse begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,

14 काहिंला नतनेल, ठाहिंलो राद्दै,

Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

15 अन्‍तरे ओसेम र कान्‍छा दाऊदका पिता बने ।

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh:

16 तिनीहरूका दिदी-बहिनी सरूयाह र अबीगेल थिए । सरूयाहका तीन जना छोरा अबीशै, योआब र असाहेल थिए ।

Whose sisters [were] Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.

17 अबीगेलले अमासालाई जन्माइन्, जसका पिता इश्‍माएली येतेर थिए ।

And Abigail bore Amasa: and the father of Amasa [was] Jether the Ishmaelite.

18 हेस्रोनका छोरा कालेबका आफ्‍नी पत्‍नी अजूबाबाट र यरीअतबाट छोराछोरीका पिता भए । तिनका छोराहरू येशेर, शोबाब र अर्दोन थिए ।

And Caleb the son of Hezron begat [children] of Azubah [his] wife, and of Jerioth: her sons [are] these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

19 अजूबा मृत्‍यु भएपछि कालेबले एप्रातलाई विवाह गरे, जसले तिनका निम्‍ति हूरलाई जन्‍माइन्‌ ।

And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took to him Ephrath, who bore to him Hur,

20 हूर ऊरीका पिता बने, र ऊरी बजलेलका पिता बने ।

And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

21 पछि हेस्रोनले (जब तिनी साठी वर्षका थिए) गिलादका पिता माकीरकी छोरीसित विवाह गरे । तिनले उनका निम्‍ति सगूबलाई जन्‍माइन्‌ ।

And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he [was] sixty years old; and she bore him Segub.

22 सगूब याईरका पिता बने, जसले गिलादका तेईस वटा सहरलाई अधीन गरे ।

And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.

23 गशूर र अरामले हब्‍बात-याईर र केनातका साथै वरिपरिका साठी वटा सहर लिए । यी सबै बासिन्‍दा गिलादका पिता माकीरका सन्‍तान थिए ।

And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath and its towns, [even] sixty cities. All these [belonged to] the sons of Machir, the father of Gilead.

24 हेस्रोनको मृत्युपछि आफ्ना पिता हेस्रोनकी पत्‍नी अबियासँग कालेबले सहवास गरे । उनले तिनको निम्‍ति तकोका पिता अशहूरलाई जन्माइन् ।

And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephratah, then Abiah Hezron's wife bore him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

25 हेस्रोनका जेठा छोरा यरहमेलका छोराहरू, जेठा राम, बूना, ओरेन, ओसेम र अहियाह थिए ।

And the sons of Jerahmeel the first-born of Hezron were, Ram the first-born, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, [and] Ahijah.

26 यरहमेलकी अतारा नाम गरेकी अर्की पत्‍नी थिइन् । तिनी ओनामकी आमा थिइन्‌ ।

Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name [was] Atarah; she [was] the mother of Onam.

27 यरहमेलका जेठा छोरा रामका छोराहरू मास, यामीन र एकेर थिए ।

And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

28 ओनामका छोराहरू शम्‍मै र यादा थिए । शम्‍मैका छोराहरू नादाब र अबीशूर थिए ।

And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur.

29 अबीशूरकी पत्‍नीको नाउँ अबीहेल थियो र उनले तिनको निम्‍ति अहबान र मोलीदलाई जन्‍माइन्‌ ।

And the name of the wife of Abishur [was] Abihail; and she bore him Ahban, and Molid.

30 नादाबका छोराहरू सेलेद र अप्‍पेम थिए, तर सेलेद सन्तानबिना नै मरे ।

And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.

31 अप्‍पेमका छोरा यिशी थिए । यिशीका छोरा शेशान थिए । शेशानका छोरा अहलैका थिए ।

And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai.

32 शम्‍मैका भाइ यादाका छोराहरू येतेर र जोनाथन थिए । येतेर सन्‍तानबिना नै मरे ।

And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.

33 जोनाथनका छोराहरू पेलेथ र जाजा थिए। यरहमेलका सन्‍तानहरू यि नै थिए ।

And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

34 अब शेशानका चाहिं छोरीहरू मात्र थिए, छोराहरू थिएनन्‌ । शेशानको यरहा नाउँको एउटा मिश्री दास थियो ।

Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name [was] Jarha.

35 शेशानले आफ्नी छोरीको विवाह यही दास यरहासित गरिदिए । तिनले त्‍यसको निम्‍ति अत्तैलाई जन्‍माइन्‌ ।

And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant for a wife; and she bore him Attai.

36 अत्तै नातानका पिता र नातान जाबादका पिता बने ।

And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

37 जाबाद एपलालका पिता र एपलाल ओबेदका पिता बने ।

And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

38 ओबेद येहूका पिता र येहू अजर्याहका पिता बने ।

And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,

39 अजर्याह हेलेसका पिता बने र हेलेस एलासाका पिता बने ।

And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

40 एलासा सिस्‍मैका पिता बने र सिस्‍मै शल्‍लूमका पिता बने ।

And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,

41 शल्‍लूम यकम्‍याहका पिता बने र यकम्‍याह एलीशामाका पिता बने ।

And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

42 यरहमेलका भाइ कालेबका छोराहरू जेठा मेशा, जो जीपका पिता थिए । उनका माहिला छोरा मारेशा, जो हेब्रोनका पिता थिए ।

Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel [were], Mesha his first-born, who [was] the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

43 हेब्रोनका छोराहरू कोरह, तप्‍पूह, रेकेम र शेमा थिए ।

And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

44 शेमा रहमका पिता बने, र जो योर्कामका पिता थिए । रेकेम शम्‍मैका पिता बने ।

And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai.

45 शम्‍मैका छोरा माओन थिए, र माओन बेथ-सरका पिता थिए ।

And the son of Shammai [was] Maon: and Maon [was] the father of Beth-zur.

46 कालेबकी उपपत्‍नी एपाले हारान, मोस र गाजेजलाई जन्माइन् । हारान गाजेजका पिता बने ।

And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez.

47 यहदैका छोराहरू रेगेम, योताम, गेशान, पलेत, एपा र शाप थिए ।

And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

48 कालेबकी उपपत्‍नी माकाले शेबेर र तिर्हानालाई जन्माइन् ।

Maachah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber, and Tirhanah.

49 तिनले मद्‌मन्‍नाका पिता शापलाई अनि मक्‍बेना र गिबियाका पिता शेबालाई पनि जन्‍माइन्‌ । कालेबकी छोरी अक्‍सा थिइन्‌ । कालेबका सन्‍तान यी नै थिए ।

She bore also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb [was] Achsah.

50 एप्राताका जेठा छोरा हूरका छोराहरू किर्यत-यारीमका पिता शोबाल,

These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the first-born of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim,

51 बेथलेहेमका पिता सल्‍मा र बेथ-गादेरका पिता हारेप थिए ।

Salma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader.

52 किर्यत-यारीमका पिता शोबालका सन्‍तानहरू हारोए, मानहतीहरूका आधा,

And Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim had sons; Haroeh, [and] half of the Manahethites.

53 र किर्यत-यारीमका वंशहरू यित्रीहरू, पूथीहरू, शुमातीहरू र मिश्रातीहरू थिए । सोराती र एश्‍तोलीहरू यिनीहरूका सन्‍तान भए ।

And the families of Kirjath-jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zereathites, and the Eshtaulites.

54 सल्‍माका वंशहरू बेथलेहेम, नतोपातीहरू, अत्रोतबेथ-योआब, आधा मानहतीहरू र सोरीहरू,

The sons of Salma; Beth-lehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Menahethites, the Zorites.

55 अनि याबेसमा बस्‍ने शास्‍त्रीका वंशहरू तिरातीहरू, शिम्‍मतीहरू र सुकातीहरू थिए । यिनीहरू रेकाबको घरानाका पिता हम्‍मतबाट आएका केनीहरू हुन्

And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, [and] Suchathites. These [are] the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
