१ इतिहास 12
1 कीशका छोरा शाऊलको उपस्थितिबाट दाऊद निकाला भएकै अवस्थामा सिक्लगमा यी मानिसहरू तिनीकहाँ आए । यिनीहरू युद्ध तिनलाई सहयोग गर्ने सिपाहीहरू थिए ।
Now these were the men who came to David at Ziklag, while he was still banished from the presence of Saul son of Kish (they were among the mighty men who helped him in battle;
2 यिनीहरू धनुहरू बोक्थे, अनि घुयेंत्रोले ढुङ्गा हान्न र धनुबाट काँड हान्न दाहिने र देब्रे दुवै हात चलाउन सक्थे । यिनीहरू शाऊलका कुल बेन्यामीनका थिए ।
they were archers using both the right and left hands to sling stones and shoot arrows; and they were Saul’s kinsmen from Benjamin):
3 तिनीहरूका प्रधान अहीएजेर त्यसपछि योआश, दुवै जना गिबियाती शेमाहका छोराहरू थिए । अज्मावेतका छोराहरू यजीएल र पलेत थिए । बराकाह, अनातोती येहू,
Ahiezer their chief and Joash, who were the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; Beracah; Jehu the Anathothite;
4 गिबोनी यिश्मायाह, जो तिस जनामध्येका एक सिपाही थिए (र तिस जनाका कमाण्डर थिए), यर्मिया, यहासेल, योहानान र गदेराती योजाबाद,
Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the Thirty and a leader over the Thirty; Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite;
5 एलूजै, यरीमोत, बाल्याह, शमरयाह, हारूपी शपत्याह,
Eluzai, Jerimoth, Bealiah, Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite;
6 कोरहवंशी एल्काना, यिश्याह, अज्रेल, योएजेर र याशोबाम,
Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer, and Jashobeam, who were Korahites;
7 गदोरका यरोहामका छोराहरू योएलह र जबदियाह थिए ।
and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham from Gedor.
8 कोही गादीहरू पनि उजाड-स्थानको किल्लामा दाऊदसँग सहभागी भए । तिनीहरू युद्धका निम्ति तालिमप्राप्त योद्धाहरू थिए, जसले ढाल र भाला चलाउन सक्थे, जसका अनुहारहरू सिंहका अनुहारहरूजस्तै डरलाग्दा थिए । तिनीहरू पहाडहरूमा हरिणझैं तेजिला थिए ।
Some Gadites defected to David at his stronghold in the desert. They were mighty men of valor, trained for battle, experts with the shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions and who were as swift as gazelles on the mountains:
9 एसेर तिनीहरूका अगुवा थिए, दोस्रा ओबदिया, तेस्रा एलिआब,
Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second in command, Eliab the third,
10 चौथा मिश्मन्ना, पाँचौं यर्मिया,
Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
11 छैटौं अत्तै, सातौं एलीएल,
Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12 आठौं योहानान, नवौं एल्जाबाद,
Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13 दशौं यर्मिया र एघारौं मकबन्ने थिए ।
Jeremiah the tenth, and Machbanai the eleventh.
14 गादका यी छोराहरू सेनाका अगुवाहरू थिए । तल्लो दर्जाले सय जना र माथिल्लो दर्जाले हजार जनाको नेतृत्व गरे ।
These Gadites were army commanders, the least of whom was a match for a hundred, and the greatest for a thousand.
15 पहिलो महिनामा बढीले किनारै ढाकेको बेलामा यिनीहरूले यर्दन तरे, अनि उपत्यकाको पूर्व र पश्चिम दुवैतर्फ बस्ने सबैलाई लखेटे ।
These are the ones who crossed the Jordan in the first month when it was overflowing all its banks, and they put to flight all those in the valleys, both to the east and to the west.
16 बेन्यामीन र यहूदाका केही मानिसहरू दाऊदकहाँ किल्लामा आए ।
Other Benjamites and some men from Judah also came to David in his stronghold.
17 तिनीहरूलाई भेट्न दाऊद बाहिर निस्केर गए र यसो भनेर सम्बोधन गरे, “तिमीहरू मकहाँ शान्तिमा मलाई सहायता गर्न आएका हौ भने, तिमीहरू मसित सहभागी हुन सक्छौ । तर धोकाबाजी गरेर मेरा शत्रुहरूका हातमा मलाई सुम्पिदिन तिमीहरू आएका हौ भने, हाम्रा पुर्खाहरूका परमेश्वरले हेर्नुहुन्छ र तिमीहरूलाई हप्काउनुहुन्छ, किनकि मैले कुनै खराबी गरेको छैन ।”
And David went out to meet them, saying, “If you have come to me in peace to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my enemies when my hands are free of violence, may the God of our fathers see it and judge you.”
18 तब अमासैमा आत्मा आउनुभयो, जो ती तिस जनामध्येका अगुवा थिए । अमासैले भने, “ए दाऊद, हामी तपाईंका हौं । ए यिशैका छोरा, हामी तपाईंको पक्षमा छौं । तपाईंलाई सहायता गर्ने जोसुकैमा शान्ति होस् । तपाईंका सहयोगीहरूमा शान्ति होस्, किनकि तपाईंका परमेश्वरले तपाईंलाई सहायता गरिरहनुभएको छ ।” तब दाऊदले तिनीहरूलाई ग्रहण गरे र आफ्ना मानिसहरूका कमाण्डरहरू तुल्याए ।
Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, the chief of the Thirty, and he said: “We are yours, O David! We are with you, O son of Jesse! Peace, peace to you, and peace to your helpers, for your God helps you.” So David received them and made them leaders of his troops.
19 पलिश्तीहरूसँग मिलेर दाऊदले शाऊलको विरुद्ध लड्न जाँदा, मनश्शेका केही मानिसहरूसमेत दाऊदतर्फ लागे । तापनि तिनीहरूले पलिश्तीहरूलाई मदत गरेनन्, किनभने पलिश्तीहरूका शासकहरूले एकआपसमा सल्लाह गरे र दाऊदलाई फर्काइदिए । तिनीहरूले भने, “हाम्रो जीवन जोखिमपूर्ण हुँदा तिनले आफ्ना मालिक शाऊलको साथ दिएर हामीलाई त्याग्नेछन् ।”
Some from Manasseh defected to David when he went with the Philistines to fight against Saul. (They did not help the Philistines because the Philistine rulers consulted and sent David away, saying, “It will cost us our heads if he defects to his master Saul.”)
20 तिनी सिक्लगमा जाँदा तिनीतर्फ लागेर आउने मनश्शेका मानिसहरू अदनाह, योजाबाद, येदीएल, मिखाएल, योजाबाद, एलीहू र सिल्लतै थिए । यि मनश्शेका हजार-हजार जनाका सेनानीहरू थिए ।
When David went to Ziklag, these men of Manasseh defected to him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, chiefs of thousands in Manasseh.
21 यिनीहरूले नै लूटपीट गर्नेहरूका विरुद्धमा वीरतासँग दाऊदका साथ दिए, किनकि तिनीहरू योद्धाहरू थिए । पछि तिनीहरू सेनाका कमाण्डरहरू भए ।
They helped David against the raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor and commanders in the army.
22 परमेश्वरको सेनाजस्तै ठूलो दाऊदको सेना नहुन्जेल दिनदिनै तिनलाई सहायता गर्न मानिसहरू तिनीकहाँ आए ।
For at that time men came to David day after day to help him, until he had a great army, like the army of God.
23 शाऊलको राज्याधिकार दाऊदलाई दिएर परमप्रभुको वचन पूरा गर्नलाई हतियारले सुसज्जित भएर हेब्रोनमा दाऊदसँग मिल्न आएका सिपाहीहरूका सूचीको लेख यही हो ।
Now these are the numbers of men armed for battle who came to David at Hebron to turn Saul’s kingdom over to him, in accordance with the word of the LORD:
24 ढाल बोक्ने र भाला चलाउने यहूदाबाट ६,८०० जना हतियारले सुसज्जितहरू थिए ।
From Judah: 6,800 armed troops bearing shields and spears.
25 शिमियोनबाट लडाइँ गर्न सक्ने ७,१०० योद्धाहरू थिए ।
From Simeon: 7,100 mighty men of valor, ready for battle.
26 लेवीहरूबाट लडाइँ गर्न सक्ने ४,६०० योद्धाहरू थिए ।
From Levi: 4,600,
27 तीबाहेक हारूनको घरानाका मुखिया यहोयादाको साथमा ३,७०० मानिसहरू थिए ।
including Jehoiada, leader of the house of Aaron, with 3,700 men,
28 अनि एक जना जवान, बलियो र साहसी मानिस सादोकको साथमा उसका आफ्नै बाबुका परिवारका बाईस जना अगुवा थिए ।
and Zadok, a mighty young man of valor, with 22 commanders from his own family.
29 शाऊलका कुल बेन्यामीनबाट तिन हजार जना थिए । तिमध्येका धेरैजसो त्यस बेलासम्म शाऊलप्रति निष्ठावान् थिए ।
From Benjamin, the kinsmen of Saul: 3,000, most of whom had remained loyal to the house of Saul up to that time.
30 एफ्राइमबाट मानिसहरूबाट २०,८०० यद्धाहरू, जो आफ्ना पिताका परिवारमा प्रसिद्ध थिए ।
From Ephraim: 20,800 mighty men of valor, famous among their own clans.
31 मनश्शेबाट आधा कुलका १८,००० प्रख्यात मानिसहरू दाऊदलाई राजा बनाउनलाई आए ।
From the half-tribe of Manasseh: 18,000 designated by name to come and make David king.
32 इस्साखारबाट २०० जना अगुवाहरू जो समयलाई बुझ्दथे र इस्राएलले के गर्नुपर्छ सो जान्दथे । तिनीहरूका सबै आफन्त तिनीहरूका अधीनमा थिए ।
From Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do: 200 chiefs with all their kinsmen at their command.
33 जबूलूनबाट सबै किसिमका हतियारसहित लडाइँको निम्ति तयार भएका र एकचित्त किसिमले निष्ठावान् हुन तयार ५०,००० योद्धाहरू थिए ।
From Zebulun: 50,000 fit for service, trained for battle with all kinds of weapons of war, who with one purpose were devoted to David.
34 नप्तालीबाट १,००० अधिकारीहरू, र तिनीहरूका साथमा ढाल र भाला बोक्ने ३७,००० मानिसहरू थिए ।
From Naphtali: 1,000 commanders, accompanied by 37,000 men with shield and spear.
35 दानबाट लडाइँको निम्ति तयार भएका २८,६०० मानिसहरू थिए ।
From Dan: 28,600 prepared for battle.
36 आशेरबाट लडाइँको निम्ति तयार भएका ४०,००० योद्धाहरू थिए ।
From Asher: 40,000 fit for service, prepared for battle.
37 यर्दन अर्को पट्टिका रूबेन, गाद र मनश्शेको आधा कुलबाट युद्धको निम्ति सबै किसिमका हतियारले सुसज्जित भएका १,२०,००० मानिसहरू थिए ।
And from east of the Jordan, from Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh there: 120,000 armed with every kind of weapon of war.
38 युद्धको निम्ति सुसज्जित यी सबै योद्धाहरू दाऊदलाई सारा इस्राएलमाथि राजा बनाउने दृढ़ सङ्कल्प गरेर हेब्रोनमा आए । इस्राएलका बाँकी सबै पनि दाऊदलाई राजा बनाउनलाई सहमत भए ।
All these men of war, arrayed for battle, came to Hebron fully determined to make David king over all Israel. And all the rest of the Israelites were of one mind to make David king.
39 तिनीहरूले त्यहाँ खाँदै र पिउँदै तिन दिनसम्म दाऊदसँग बिताए, किनकि तिनीहरूका आफन्तहरूले तिनीहरूका निम्ति खानपानको बन्दोबस्त गरेर पठाएका थिए ।
They spent three days there eating and drinking with David, for their relatives had provided for them.
40 यसबाहेक, तिनीहरूका नजिक हुनेहरू, इस्साखार, जबूलून र नप्तालीसम्मले गधा, ऊँट, खच्चर र गोरुहरूमा खानेकुरा र नेभाराका डल्ला, किसमिसका झुप्पा, दाखमद्य, तेल, गाई-गोरुहरू, भेडाहरू ल्याए, किनकि इस्राएलले उत्सव मनाउँदै थियो ।
And their neighbors from as far away as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali came bringing food on donkeys, camels, mules, and oxen—abundant supplies of flour, fig cakes and raisin cakes, wine and oil, oxen and sheep. Indeed, there was joy in Israel.
