2 केनान, महलालेल, येरेद,

Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared,

3 हनोक, मतूशेलह, लेमेक ।

Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech.

4 नोआका छोराहरू शेम, हाम र येपेत थिए ।

The sons of Noah were Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

5 येपेतका छोराहरू गोमेर, मागोग, मादे, यावान, तूबल, मेशेक र तीरास थिए ।

The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek, and Tiras.

6 गोमेरका छोराहरू अशकनज, रीपत र तोगर्मा थिए ।

The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

7 यावानका छोराहरू एलीशाह, तर्शीश, कित्तीम र रोदानीम थिए ।

The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites.

8 हामका छोराहरू कूश, मिश्रइम, पूत र कनान थिए ।

The sons of Ham were Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan.

9 कूशका छोराहरू सेबा, हवीला, सब्‍त, रामाह र सब्‍तका थिए । रामाका छोराहरू शेबा र ददान थिए ।

The sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah, and Sabteka. The sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.

10 कूशचाहिं निम्रोदका पिता बने, जो पृथ्वीका पहिलो विजेता थिए ।

Cush became the father of Nimrod, who was the first conqueror on the earth.

11 मिश्रइमचाहिं लूदीहरू, अनामीहरू, लहाबीहरू र नप्‍तूहीहरू,

Egypt became the ancestor of the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites,

12 पत्रुसीहरू, कस्‍लूहीहरू (जसबाट पलिश्‍तीहरू आए) र कप्‍तोरीहरूका पुर्खा बने ।

Pathrusites, Kasluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites.

13 कनानचाहिं तिनका जेठा छोरा सीदोन र हित्तीहरूका पिता बने ।

Canaan became the father of Sidon, his firstborn, and of the Hittites.

14 तिनी यबूसीहरू, एमोरीहरू, गिर्गाशीहरू,

He also became the ancestor of the Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites,

15 हिव्‍वीहरू, अरकीहरू, सिनीहरू,

Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,

16 अर्वादीहरू, समारीहरू र हमातीहरूका पनि पुर्खा बने ।

Arvadites, Zemarites, and the Hamathites.

17 शेमका छोराहरू एलाम, अश्‍शूर, अर्पक्षद, लूद र अराम थिए । अरामका छोराहरू ऊज, हुल, गेतेर र मेशेक थिए ।

The sons of Shem were Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshek.

18 अर्पक्षद शेलहका पिता थिए र शेलह एबेरका पिता थिए ।

Arphaxad became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.

19 एबेरका दुई जना छोराहरू थिए । एउटाको नाउँ पेलेग थियो, किनभने तिनको समयमा पृथ्‍वीलाई विभाजन गरिएको थियो । तिनका भाइको नाउँ योक्तान थियो ।

Eber had two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided. His brother's name was Joktan.

20 योक्तानचाहिं अल्‍मोदद, शेलेप, हसर्मवित, येरह,

Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

21 हदोरम, ऊजाल, दिक्‍ला,

Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

22 ओबाल, अबमाएल, शेबा,

Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

23 ओपीर, हवीला र योबाबका पिता बने । यी सबै योक्तानका सन्तति थिए ।

Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were descendants of Joktan.

24 शेम, अर्पक्षद, शेलह,

Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

25 एबेर, पेलेग, रऊ,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,

26 सरूग, नाहोर, तेरह,

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

27 अब्राम जो अब्राहाम थिए ।

Abram, who was Abraham.

28 अब्राहामका छोराहरू इसहाक र इश्‍माएल थिए ।

The sons of Abraham were Isaac and Ishmael.

29 तिनीहरूका सन्‍तान यी नै हुन्‌: इश्‍माएलका जेठा नबायोत, त्‍यसपछि केदार, अदबेल, मिब्‍साम,

These are their sons: the firstborn of Ishmael was Nebaioth, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

30 मिश्‍मा, दुमा, मस्‍सा, हदद, तेमा,

Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema,

31 यतूर, नापीश र केदमा । यिनीहरू इश्‍माएलका छोराहरू थिए ।

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These were Ishmael's sons.

32 अब्राहामकी उपपत्‍नी कतूराका छोराहरू जिम्रान, योक्षान, मदान, मिद्यान, यिशबाक र शूह थिए । योक्षानका छोराहरू शेबा र ददान थिए ।

The sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine, were Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan were Sheba and Dedan.

33 मिद्यानका छोराहरू एपा, एपेर, हानोक, अबीदा र एल्‍दा थिए । यी सबै कतूराका सन्‍तान थिए ।

Midian's sons were Ephah, Epher, Hanok, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were Keturah's descendants.

34 अब्राहाम इसहाकका पिता बने । इसहाकका छोराहरू एसाव र इस्राएल थिए ।

Abraham became the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac were Esau and Israel.

35 एसावका छोराहरू एलीपज, रूएल, येऊश, यालाम र कोरह थिए ।

The sons of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.

36 एलीपजका छोराहरू तेमान, ओमार, सपो, गाताम, कनज, तिम्‍न र अमालेक थिए ।

The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, Kenaz, Timna, and Amalek.

37 रूएलका छोराहरू नहत, जेरह, शम्‍मा र मिज्‍जा थिए ।

The sons of Reuel were Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 सेइरका छोराहरू: लोतान, शोबाल, सिबोन, अना, दीशोन, एसेर, र दीशान थिए ।

The sons of Seir were Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.

39 लोतानका छोराहरू होरी र हेमाम थिए, अनि लोतानकी बहिनीको नाम तीम्‍न थियो ।

The sons of Lotan were Hori and Homam, and Timna was Lotan's sister.

40 शोबालका छोराहरू अल्‍बान, मानहत, एबाल, शपो र ओनाम थिए । सिबोनका छोराहरू अय्‍या र अना थियो ।

The sons of Shobal were Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam. The sons of Zibeon were Aiah and Anah.

41 अनाका छोरा दीशोन थिए । दीशोनका छोराहरू हेमदान, एश्‍बान, यित्रान र करान थिए ।

The son of Anah was Dishon. The sons of Dishon were Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Keran.

42 एसेरका छोराहरू बिल्‍हान, जावान र अकान थिए । दीशानका छोराहरू ऊज र आरान थिए ।

The sons of Ezer were Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan. The sons of Dishan were Uz and Aran.

43 इस्राएलमा कुनै पनि राजाले राज्‍य गर्नुभन्‍दा पहिले एदोममा राज्‍य गर्ने राजाहरू यी नै थिएः बओरका छोरा बेला, र तिनको सहर दिन्‍हावा थियो ।

These were the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the Israelites: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

44 बेला मरेपछि तिनको ठाउँमा बोज्राका जेरहका छोरा योबाब राजा भए ।

When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his place.

45 योबाब मरेपछि तिनको ठाउँमा तेमानीहरूको देशका हूशाम राजा भए ।

When Jobab died, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.

46 हूशाम मरेपछि तिनको ठाउँमा बददका छोरा हदद राजा भए, जसले मोआब देशमा मिद्यानीहरूलाई पराजित गरे । तिनको सहरको नाउँ अवीत थियो ।

When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the land of Moab, reigned in his place. The name of his city was Avith.

47 हदद मरेपछि तिनको ठाउँमा मास्रेकाका सम्‍ला राजा भए ।

When Hadad died, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place.

48 सम्‍ला मरेपछि तिनको ठाउँमा नदीको किनारमा भएको रहोबोतका शौल राजा भए ।

When Samlah died, Shaul of Rehoboth on the river reigned in his place.

49 शौल मरेपछि तिनको ठाउँमा अक्‍बोरका छोरा बाल-हानानले तिनको ठाउँमा राज्य गरे ।

When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan son of Akbor reigned in his place.

50 अक्‍बोरका छोरा बाल-हानान मरेपछि तिनको ठाउँमा हददले राज्य गरे । तिनको सहरको नाउँ पाऊ थियो । तिनकी पत्‍नीको नाउँ मत्रेदकी छोरी महेतबेल थियो, जो मे-जाहाबकी नातिनी थिइन्‌ ।

When Baal-Hanan son of Akbor died, Hadad reigned in his place. The name of his city was Pau. His wife's name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred daughter of Me-Zahab.

51 हदद मरे । एदोमका प्रधानहरूमा प्रधान तीम्‍न, प्रधान अल्‍वा, प्रधान यतेत,

Hadad died. The chiefs in Edom were Chief Timna, Chief Alvah, Chief Jetheth,

52 प्रधान ओहोलीबामा, प्रधान एलाह, प्रधान पीनोन,

Chief Oholibamah, Chief Elah, Chief Pinon,

53 प्रधान कनज, प्रधान तेमान, प्रधान मिब्सार,

Chief Kenaz, Chief Teman, Chief Mibzar,

54 प्रधान मग्‍दीएल र प्रधान ईराम थिए । एदोमका प्रधानहरू यी नै थिए ।

Chief Magdiel, and Chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
