Matendo ga Mitume 20
1 Baada ya ghasia kuyomoka, Paulo alibakema banafunzi na kupeya mwoyo. Boka po atibaaga na kuboka kuyenda Makedonia.
THEN after the tumult was quieted, Paul called to him the disciples, and taking his leave, departed to go into Macedonia.
2 Niywembe paapeta mikoa yee na abile akibapeya mioyo baumini, kajingya Yunani.
And passing through those parts, and having exhorted them with much discourse, he went into Greece.
3 Baada ya ywembe kuwa palo kwa muda wa miei itatu, njama zichengwite dhidi yake na Ayahudi paabile atikaribia kusafifiri kwa ndela ya bahari elekya Shamu, ayee atiazimia kerebuka pitya Makedonia.
And after three months stay, as the Jews were lying in wait for him, when he was just embarking for Syria, he determined to return through Macedonia.
4 Bakengamana na ywembe mpaka Asia babile Sopatro, mwana wa Pirho boka Berea; Aristariko na Sekundo, bote boka baamini ba Thesalonike; Gayo ba Derbe; Timotheo; Tikiko na Trofimo boka Asia.
And there accompanied him as far as Asia, Sopater a Berean; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy; and Tychicus and Trophimus, Asiatics.
5 Lakini bandu aba bayomwile tangulia na babile batulenda kolyo Troa.
These going before tarried for us at Troas.
6 kwa ndela ya Bahari boka Filipi baada ya masoba ga mikate yaibekwa kwaa chachu, na katika masoba matano tuikite kolyo Troa. Tutama kolyo kwa masoba saba.
And we sailed from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came to them to Troas after five days; where we stayed seven days.
7 Hata lisoba lya kwanza lya wiki, patubile twatikwembana pamope ili kuutekwa mkate, Paulo atilongela na Baamini. Abile akiwza kuboka malabo yake, nga nyo atiendelea longela mpaka kilo ya manane.
And on the first day of the week, when the disciples were assembled to break bread, Paul preached unto them (ready to depart on the morrow), and extended his discourse until midnight.
8 Pabile na taa zanyansima katika chumba cha nnani ambapo tubile twatikwembana pamope.
Now there were many lamps in the upper room, where they were assembled.
9 Katika lidirisha abile atami muinja yumo lina lyake Utiko, ywabile na lugono likolo. Hata Paulo paabile akilongela kwa muda mrefu, muinja yolo, agonjike, atitomboka pae boka lighorofa lya tatu na atilokotwa abile tayari awile.
And a certain youth named Eutytchus, who sat in the window, fell into a profound sleep: as Paul discoursed much longer than usual, quite overpowered with sleep, he fell down from a third story, and was taken up dead.
10 Lakini Paulo atiuluka pae, atijinyoosha ywembe mwene nnani yake, atimkumbatia. Katika baya, “Kana mkate tamaa, kwa kuwa abile nkoto.”
But Paul came down, and fell upon him, and taking him in his arms, said, Trouble not yourselves, for his life is yet in him.
11 Boka po atipanda kae kulighorofa na atiutekwana mkate, no lyaa. Baada ya longela kwa muda mrefu mpaka lyamba, atiboka.
And when he had gone up, and broken bread, and eaten, and conversed a long time, even to the break of day, he then departed.
12 Bannetike yolo muinja abile nkoto batifarijika muno.
And they brought the lad alive, and were comforted exceedingly.
13 Twenga twabene twatitangulia nnongi ya Paulo kwa meli na yenda Aso, ambapo twenga tulipanga kuntola Paulo kolyo. Ayee nga ywembe mwene ywapala kupanga, kwa mana atipanga yenda pitya nnema nkavu.
Then we going before to the ship, sailed for Assos, intending there to take in Paul: for so he had ordered, meaning himself to walk thither.
14 Paatuikite twenga kolyo Aso, twatimtola mu'meli kuyenda Mitilene.
And when he met us at Assos, we took him up, and came to Mytelene.
15 Boka po twenga twatitweka kolyo na lisoba lyanyaibele tuikite upande wanyaibele wa kisiwa cha Kio. Lisoba lyanyaibele, tuikite kisiwa cha Samo, na malabo take tuikite mji wa Mileto.
And sailing from thence, on the following day we advanced over against Chios; and the next day we touched at Samos, and staying at Trogyllium, the day following we came to Miletus.
16 Kwa mana, Paulo abile atiamua safiri pitya Efeso, ili panga kana atumie muda wowote katika Asia; kwa mana abile na haraka ya kuwai Yerusalemu kwa ajili ya sikukuu ya Pentekoste, mana yawezekana ywembe kupanga nyoo.
For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, that he might not spend the time in Asia: for he hastened on, if it was possible for him, to be at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
17 Boka Mileto atibatuma bandu mpaka Efeso na kubakema apindo ba likanisa.
So he sent to Ephesus from Miletus, and called the presbyters of the church to attend him.
18 Paaikite kwake, kammakiya, mwenga mwabene mutangite tangu lisoba lya kwanza panikanyaga hapa Asia, jinsi ya nibile kwinu muda wote.
And when they were come unto him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the very first day in which I entered into Asia, how I have been among you at every season,
19 Namtumikya Ngwana kwa unyenyekevu wote na kwa machozi, na
serving the Lord with all humility, and with many tears and trials, which have befallen me through the lying in wait of the Jews:
20 mateso yanipatike nenga kwa hila za Ayahudi. Mutangite namna ambayo naizuia kutangaza kwinu ilibe chochote ambacho kibile muhimu, na namna nenga natibafundisha waziwazi na kuyenda nyumba kwa nyumba.
and that I have suppressed nothing which could conduce to your profiting; not desisting from preaching to you, and teaching you in public, and from house to house,
21 Mutangfite namna nenga mayendelya kubaonya Ayahudi na Ayunani nnani ya toba kwa Nnongo na imani katika Ngwana witu Yesu.
repeatedly urging both on Jews and Greeks repentance towards God, and faith towards our Lord Jesus Christ.
22 Nambeambe, muilinge, nibile namtii Roho Mtakatifu kuelekea Yerusalemu, niyatangite kwaa makowe ambayo yanipangikie nenga kolyo,
And now behold I am going, bound by the Spirit, unto Jerusalem, not knowing what things shall there befal me:
23 Ila kwa mana Roho Mtakatifu unishuhudia nenga katika kila mji no baya panga minyororo na mateso nga nyoo vyatinilenda.
only this, that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying, that bonds and tribulation await thee.
24 Lakini nenga nafikiria kwaa panga maisha yangu ni kwa yeyote ya thamani kwango, ili niweze kuyomwa mwendo wango na huduma yanipeyilwe boka kwa Ngwana Yesu, kuishuhudia injili ya nema ya Nnongo.
Yet I make no account of any suffering, nor regard my life as of any value to myself, farther than as I may finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord, to testify fully the Gospel of the grace of God.
25 Nmabeambe, linga, nitangite panga wote, nkati ya balo baniyendike kuhubiri Ufalme, mwanibona kwaa minyo kae.
And now behold, I know that ye shall see my face no more, even ye all, among whom I have gone in and out preaching the kingdom of God.
26 Kwa eyo nabashuhudia leno yee, panga nibile kwaa na hatia ya myai ya mundu yeyote.
Wherefore I appeal to you this day as witnesses that I am pure from the blood of all men.
27 Kwa mana naizuia kwaa kubatangazia mapenzi yoti ya Nnongo.
For I have concealed nothing, so as not repeatedly to declare to you the whole counsel of God.
28 Kwa eyo muwe baangalifu nnani yinu mwenga mwabene, na nnani ya likundi lolote ambalo Roho Mtakatifu atiabeka mwenga kuwa waangalizi. Mube aangalifu kulichunga likusanyiko lya Ngwana, ambalo atilipemya kwa myai yake mwene.
Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you bishops, to feed as shepherds the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.
29 Nitangite panga baada ya kuboka kwango, mapwa ba mwitu akale balowa jingya nkati yinu, na baliwa kulihurimya kwaa likundi.
For this I know, that after my departure there will come among you grievous wolves, not sparing the flock:
30 Nitangite panga hata nkati yinu mwabene baadhi ya bandu baisa no baya makowe mabou, ili kuwavuta banafunzi babakengame bembe.
Yea, from among yourselves shall men arise, speaking perverting doctrines, to draw away disciples after them.
31 Kwa eyo mutame minyo. Mukombokye panga kwa miaka mitatu naweza kwaa kuleka kuwafundisha kila yumo winu kwa machozi kilo ni mutwekati.
Therefore watch, remembering that for three years, by night and by day, I have never ceased with tears to admonish every individual.
32 Nambeambe nenga nawakabidhi kwa Nnongo, na kwa neno lya neema yake laweza kuachenga na kuwapea urithi pamope nabo bote batiwekwa wakfu kwa Nnongo.
And now, brethren, I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to finish the superstructure, and to give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
33 Natamaniya kwaa mbanje, dhahabu, au ngobo.
The silver, or gold, or apparel of no man have I coveted:
34 Mutangite mwenga mwabene panga maboko aga inipeya mahitaji yango mwene na mahitaji ya balo babile pamope ni nenga.
but ye yourselves know that these hands have by labour furnished necessaries for my own wants, and for those who were with me.
35 Katika makowe yote naapeya mfano wa namna mupalikwa kuwasaidia anyonge kwa kuipanga kazi, na namna mupalikwa kukombokya maneno ya Ngwana Yesu, maneno ambayo ywembe mwene abayite: “Ni heri kutoa kuliko pokya.”
In all things I have set you the example, that so labouring hard ye ought to help the infirm, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, because he himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
36 Baada ya kubaya namna yee, apiyite magoti na kuloba pamope na bembe.
And when he had spoken these things, he fell on his knees, and prayed with them all.
37 Bote batilela muno na kumtombokya Paulo paingo na kumbusu.
And all of them shed floods of tears, and fell upon Paul’s neck, and kissed him again and again,
38 Batihuzunika muno ya yote kwa mana ya chelo bambonekeya kwaa kuminyo pake kae. Boka po batimsindikiza Mumerikebu.
most peculiarly afflicted at that word which he had spoken, that they should see his face no more: and they accompanied him unto the ship.
