Matendo ga Mitume 11
1 Mitume na alongo balo babile kolyo Yudea bayowine kuwa bataifa batilipokya neno lya Nnongo.
Now the apostles and brethren that were in Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
2 Petro paisile kolyo Yerusalemu, lelo likundi lya bandu batitairiwa batumbwi kumkosoa, Kababaya,
And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, those that were of the circumcision contended with him, saying,
3 “Utikengamana na bandu batairiwa kwaa na kulya nabo!”
Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised and didst eat with them.
4 Lakini Petro atumbwi kulielezea likowe kwa kina; kabaya,
But Peter began and laid the matter in order before them,
5 “Nibile naloba katika mji wa Yafa, na kubona maono ya chombo chauluka pae kati ngobo kolo yatiuluka boka kumaunde katika pembe zake zote ncheche. Chatiuluka kwango.
saying, I was praying in the city of Joppa; and in a trance I saw a vision, some thing like a large sheet descending from heaven, let down by the four corners; and it came close to me.
6 Natikilola na kukiwasa nnani yake. Nabweni anyama babile na magolo ncheche batami katika nchi, na anyama ba kumwitu na anyama batambaabo na iyuni ba angani.
And looking stedfastly upon it, I observed four-footed creatures and wild beasts, and reptiles, and fowls of the air.
7 Boka po niyowine lilobe lyabaya nanenga, “Amka, Petro, chinja na ulye!”
And I heard a voice saying to me, Rise, Peter, kill and eat.
8 Nibayite, “Nyoo kwaa, Ngwana, nkanwa wango ujingya kwaa kilebe chochote kibile kwaa kitakatifu au kichafu”
But I said, By no means, Lord: for nothing polluted or unclean hath ever entered into my mouth.
9 Lakini lilobe lyayangwa kae boka kumaunde, chelo Nnongo chaakitangaza kuwa ni safi, kana ukikeme najisi.
And the voice answered me a second time from heaven, What God hath cleansed do not thou call polluted.
10 Ayee yaboka mara tatu, na kila kilebe chatolwa kumaunde kae.
And this was done thrice: and then they were all drawn up again to heaven.
11 Linga, muda woo bandu atatu babile bayemi nnongi ya nyumba yelo mwatubile; batumwile boka Kaisaria kuisa kwango.
And behold at that very time there came three men to the house where I was, sent from Cesarea to me.
12 Roho anibakiye kuyenda nabembe, na kana nitofautiane nabo, Aba analome sita bayenda pamope na nenga na tuyende mu'nyumba ya mundu yumo.
And the Spirit ordered me to go with them, doubting nothing. And these six brethren also came with me, and we entred into the man's house;
13 Ywatubakiye nyoo paamweni malaika ayemi mu'nyumba yake kabaya, “Nitume Yafa kunneta Simoni ambaye lina lyake lyenge ni Petro,
and he told us how he had seen an angel in his house, standing and saying to him, Send men to Joppa, and fetch hither Simon,
14 Alowa baya ujumbe kwako katika wolo alowa lopolelwa na nyumba yako yote.”
whose sirname is Peter, who will tell thee things, by which thou shalt be saved and all thy family.
15 Panitumbwile longela nabembe, Roho Mtakatifu kaisa nnani yabe kati yaatiisa kwitu mwanzo.
And when I began to speak, the holy Spirit fell on them, even as it did upon us at the beginning.
16 Nakombokya maneno ga Ngwana, yaayabaite, “Yohana atibatiza kwa mase; lakini mwalowa batizwa katika Roho Mtakatifu.
Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the holy Spirit.
17 Mana Nnongo atupea zawadi kati ya atupei twenga patuaminiya katika Ngwana Yesu Kristo, nenga na nyai, panga naweza kumpinga Nnongo?
As therefore God gave to them the like gift that He did to us, upon our believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I should be able to withstand God?
18 Pabayowine makowe aga, barudisha kwaa, ila batimsifu Nnongo no baya, “Nnongo atiitoa toba kwa ajili ya mataifa kae”
And when they heard these things they acquiesced, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God given to the Gentiles also repentance unto life.
19 Bai baamini ambao mateso gatumbwile mu'kiwo cha Stephano batitawanyika boka Yerusalemu-baaminia aba batiyenda mbale, hadi ku'mpaka ba Foinike, Kipro na Antiokia. Baabakiya ujumbe kuhusu Yesu kichake ka bayahudi na ywenge kwaa yoyote.
Now they that were dispersed by the trouble, which arose about Stephen, travelled as far as Phenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but the Jews only.
20 Lakini baadhi yabe ni bandu boka Kipro na Krene, baisile Antiokia no baya na ayunani na kumhubiri Ngwana Yesu.
But some of them were Cyprians, and Cyrenians, who when they came to Antioch, discoursed with the Grecians also, preaching the Lord Jesus.
21 Na luboko lwa Ngwana libile pamope nabembe, na bandu banyansima baaminiya na kumkerebukya Ngwana.
And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
22 Habari yabe ziikite mu'makutu ga likanisa lya Yerusalemu: na kabantuma Barnaba ayende mpaka Antiokia.
And the report of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem; and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.
23 Paaisile na bona karama ya Nnongo atipuraika; abatia mwoyo bote kubaki na Ngwana katika mioyo yabe.
Who, when he was come, and saw the grace of God, rejoiced, and exhorted them all with steadiness of heart to adhere to the Lord.
24 Kwa mana abile mundu mwema na atwelile Roho Mtakatifu na imani ya bandu banyansima batoyongekeya katika Ngwana.
For he was a good man, and full of the holy Spirit, and of faith: and many were added unto the Lord.
25 Baadae Barnaba atiyenda Tarso kumbonekeya Sauli.
Then Barnabas departed to Tarsus, to seek Saul: and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch.
26 Paampatike, kanneta Antiokia. ipalike kwa mwaka mzima kabakusanyika pamope na likanisa na kubafundisha bandu banyansima. Na banafunzi bakemelwa bakristo kwa mara ya kwanza kolyo Antiokia.
And they assembled in the church a whole year, and taught much people: and the disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.
27 Na atika masoba aga manabii batiuluka boka Yerusalemu mpaka Antiokia.
And in these days came down prophets from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 Yumo wabe ni Agabo lyalibile lina lyake, ayemi atiashiriwa na Roho panga njala ngolo yalowa tokea mu'ulimwengu wote. Ayee ipangike wakati wa masoba ga Klaudio.
And one of them, named Agabus, stood up and signified by the Spirit, that there would be a great famine over all the earth: which accordingly came to pass in the reign of Claudius Cesar.
29 Kwa eyo, banafunzi, kila yumo abile atifanikiwa, baliamua kupeleka misaada kwa ndugu babile Uyahudi.
And each of the disciples, according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren who dwelt in Judea.
30 Bapangite nyoo; Baituma pesa kwa luboko lwa Barnaba na Sauli.
Which they also did, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
