1 Petro 5
1 Nenda kwa sili apinda bababile miongoni mwinu, nenga nanibile nampinda nyabe na shaidi mateso ya Kristo na ambaye vile vile ni mshirki katika utukufu unapatikana.
The elders therefore among you I exhort, who am a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, who am also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
2 Kwa njo, nipeya mwoyo mwenga mwaipindo mulikote likundi lya Nn”ungu lyakibile miongoni mwinu, mulilolange, sio kwa sababy muyeubilikwa lakini kwa sababu mupalitenjo, tokana na Nn”ungu mulotange sio kwa penda mbanje ya oni, lakini ka penda.
Tend the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not of constraint, but willingly, according unto God; nor yet for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
3 Kwane mwipange mwamabwana kunaniya bundu bababile payi ya lola kwinu, lakini mube mfano wa likundi.
neither as lording it over the charge allotted to you, but making yourselves ensamples to the flock.
4 Palu mchungaji mpindo paluwa tanganikwa mwapokya mataji go utukufu yaobali uthamani wake.
And when the chief Shepherd shall be manifested, ye shall receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.
5 Namwenga, mwa vijana mwasend, munyenyekeyanga kwa apindo binu. Mwenga mwabori muwale unyenyekevu nopeyana mwenga kwa mwenga, kwani Nn”ungu akumbwa benge yuwa, lakini apeya neema anyenyekevu.
Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to serve one another: for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.
6 Kwa njo munyenyekeyange paiya makoga Nn”ungu gagabile hodari ili akakatuye kwa muda wake.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;
7 Mumiki fadhaa yinu panani yake, kwa sababu andakuntanga.
casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you.
8 Mube na busara, mube mwamuaminika. Yulu adui yinu, ibilisi kati imba ywa kumbwa nduli kaegelya, kampala mundu wa kunuma.
Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Muyime nchungu yake, mube na makakala katika imani yinu, mutangite panga alongo binu bababile ulimwenguni bapitya mateso kati go.
whom withstand stedfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world.
10 Baada ya kuteseka kwa muda nkulu, Nn”ungu wa neema yoti, ywabakemite katika utukufu wa milele nkati ya Kristo, ankamilisha, amwimariisha na kumpeya ngupu. (aiōnios g166)
And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, stablish, strengthen you. (aiōnios g166)
To him [be] the dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Namthamini silwano kati nn”ongo mwaminifu, na nimwandikile mwenga kaw kifupi pitya kwake. Nipeyanga mwoyo wa nendashudia ponga chanikiandike ni neemo ya kweli kwa Nn”ungu. Muyimange nkati yake.
By Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I account [him], I have written unto you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God: stand ye fast therein.
13 Mwabili mwamubile Babelu baba Sauli kwe na mwenga, banda kunsalimia, na Marko mwanawangu andankusalimia.
She that is in Babylon, elect together with [you], saluteth you; and [so doth] Mark my son.
14 Musalimianane kwa kila jumo kwa busu la upendo. Na Amani ibe kwinu mwamubile nkati ya Kristo.
Salute one another with a kiss of love. Peace be unto you all that are in Christ.
