1 Petro 4
1 Kwa njo, Kristo atiteseka katika payiga, muwalange silaha ya ndila yiyiloyilu. Ywembe ywateseke katika yiga abuilwe sambi.
Therefore, since Christ suffered on our behalf in flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mentality (for the one who has ‘suffered in flesh’ has been made to cease from sin)
2 Mundu, yo ayendelyali kai tama katika yiga, ila kwa mapenzi ya Nn”ungu, kwa maisha yake gagaigie.
so as not to live your remaining time in flesh for human lusts any longer, but for the will of God.
3 Kwa kua muda waupite ulingani panga mambo ambago mataifa gapala panga-ufisadi, nia mbaya, lobya, ulafi, sherehe za kipangani na ibada ya sanamu yangali pulaika.
Because the time that has passed is plenty for you to have performed the will of the pagans—having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, carousings and disgusting idolatries—
4 Bawasa ajabu pamwiegea panga mambo aga mwaboti, hivyo balongela masapu juu yinu.
in regard to which they are disagreeably surprised at your not running with them into the same flood of debauchery, reviling you;
5 Baluwa balanga kwake ywembe tayari hukumu baba bile akoti na baba yukite.
they will give an account to Him who is ready to judge living and dead
6 Kwao kusudia lino injili yatelongelekwa kwabe babawile, kwamba pamija bayomwile hukumiwa katika yiga yabe kwa mundu ili bawese tama na Nn”ungu katika mwoyo.
(which is precisely why dead ones were once evangelized, that they should be judged as men in flesh, to be sure, but that they should live according to God in spirit).
7 Mwisho wa mambo goti wendaisa kwa hiyo mupate tanga mubile sawa na mubena ndila sapi kwa ajili ya luba kwinu.
The end of all things has approached; therefore be serious and self-controlled in your praying.
8 Kabla ya makowe goti mupe na bidii katika upendo kwa kila mundu, kwa kuwa upendo upalikwa lii umukwa sambi ya nine.
Above all things your love for one another should be constant, because love covers a multitude of sins.
9 Mulayange ukarimu kwa kila mundu bila nung'unika.
Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
10 Katika kila mundu winu mwapokile karama mwitumyange katika peyana, kati mwasi mamizi wema wa kabama yanambone yaipiyilwe bure na Nn”ungu.
As each has received a gift, minister it to one another as good administrators of God's varied grace.
11 Mwana mundu alongei naibe kati kuntonga Nn”ungu na mwana mundu abaya naibe na uwezo kati wa Nn”ungu, ili kwamba kwa kila kibe Nn”ungu apate kutukuzwa pitya Yesu Kristo. Utukufu na uweza wina ywemba milele na milelel Amina. (aiōn g165)
If anyone speaks, let it be as utterances of God. If anyone serves, let it be as from strength as God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion throughout the ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Mwalongo, kwane mubalange mupayilwe ambapo mwabapaite kati kilebe cha kigeni ingawa kwina kilebe kigeni sasabile kativumika kwinu.
Dear ones, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you as a test, as though something strange was happening to you,
13 Lakini kwa kadiri ya mupala yobelya na matesi ga Kristo, mupulaike, ili kwamba mupulaike no shangilia katika umukulwa na utukufu wake.
but to the extent that you share in Christ's sufferings, rejoice, so that at the revelation of His glory you also may rejoice a great deal more.
14 Iwapa bate kuntukana kwa ajili yalina lyake Kristo, mubarikiwe kwa sababu ya mwoyo wa utukufu roho wa Nn”ungu aisa juu yino.
If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of the glory and of God has come to rest upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
15 Lakini kwa niabe yoyoti mwene ywoteseka kati muuaji, mwili, ywapanga maovu au ywaishughulisha na mambo ya bigi.
Now do not any of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evildoer, or as a meddler in others' affairs;
16 Lakini mwana ipangite mundu dayeselwa kati mkristo, kwene abone onili, bali antukuze Nn”ungu katika lina lyo.
but if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.
17 Kwa kuwa wakati wikite kwo hukumu tumbulya nyumba ya Nn”ungu na mwana itumbulya kwinu yapamba buli kwa balu baba kutoka kwiyuwa Injili ya Nn”ungu.
Because the time has come for judgment to begin at God's house; now if it starts with us, what will be the end of those who keep disobeying the Gospel of God?
18 Naa mwana mwenye haki asalimika pitya magumu, yapanga buli kwa mundu ywange na haki na mwene sambi?
Also, ‘If the righteous one is saved with difficulty, where will the godless and sinful person appear?’
19 Kwa njo poti banda teseka buka na mapenzi ga Nn”ungu bapei nafsi yabe kwa muumba mwaminifu ili batange pabapanga mema.
And so let those who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.
