UZekhariya 2
1 Ngaphakamisa amehlo ami futhi, ngabona, khangela-ke umuntu, olentambo yokulinganisa esandleni sakhe.

2 Ngasengisithi: Uya ngaphi? Wasesithi kimi: Ukuyalinganisa iJerusalema, ukubona ukuthi bungakanani ububanzi bayo, lokuthi bungakanani ubude bayo.

4 Yathi kuyo: Gijima, ukhulume lalelijaha usithi: IJerusalema izahlalwa njengemizi engelamiduli ngenxa yobunengi babantu lezifuyo okuphakathi kwayo.
Renne thou, speke to this child, and seie thou, Jerusalem shal be enhabitid with out wal, for the multitude of men and of beestis in the myddil therof.
5 Ngoba mina, itsho iNkosi, ngizakuba kuyo ngumduli womlilo inhlangothi zonke, ngibe yinkazimulo phakathi kwayo.
And Y schal be to it, seith the Lord, a wal of fier in cumpas; and Y schal be in glorie in myddil therof.
6 Heyi, heyi! Balekani-ke lisuke elizweni lenyakatho, itsho iNkosi; ngoba ngilihlakazile njengemimoya yomine yamazulu, itsho iNkosi.
A! A! A! fle ye fro the lond of the north, seith the Lord, for in foure wyndis of heuene Y scateride you, seith the Lord.
7 Heyi, Ziyoni, phunyuka, wena ohlala lendodakazi yeBhabhiloni!
A! thou Sion, fle, that dwellist at the douyter of Babiloyne.
8 Ngoba itsho njalo iNkosi yamabandla: Emva kwenkazimulo yangithuma ezizweni ezaliphangayo; ngoba olithintayo uthinta inhlamvu yelihlo layo.

9 Ngoba, khangela, ngizanyikinya isandla sami phezu kwazo, njalo zizakuba yimpango kuzo izinceku zabo; njalo lizakwazi ukuthi iNkosi yamabandla ingithumile.

10 Hlabelela uthokoze, ndodakazi yeZiyoni; ngoba, khangela ngiyeza, njalo ngizahlala phakathi kwakho, itsho iNkosi.

11 Lezizwe ezinengi zizahlanganiswa leNkosi ngalolosuku, zibe ngabantu bami; njalo ngizahlala phakathi kwakho, njalo uzakwazi ukuthi iNkosi yamabandla ingithumile kuwe.

13 Thula, nyama yonke, phambi kweNkosi; ngoba ivusiwe endaweni yayo yokuhlala engcwele.
Ech fleisch be stil fro the face of the Lord, for he roos of his hooli dwelling place.
