1 Nkulunkulu, nika inkosi izahlulelo zakho lokulunga kwakho endodaneni yenkosi.
Solomon’s. O God! thy justice, give, unto the king, And thy righteousness, unto the son of a king;
2 Izakwehlulela abantu bakho ngokulunga, labayanga bakho ngokuqonda.
May he judge, Thy people with righteousness; And thine oppressed ones with justice;
3 Izintaba zizalethela abantu ukuthula, lamaqaqa, ngokulunga.
May the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills [be laden] with righteousness;
4 Izakwahlulela abahluphekayo babantu, isindise abantwana babaswelayo, ifohloze umcindezeli.
May he, Vindicate the oppressed of the people, Bring deliverance to the children of the needy, and, Crush the oppressor.
5 Bazakwesaba wena lisekhona ilanga, isekhona lenyanga, kuzizukulwana ngezizukulwana.
Let men revere thee, With the sun, And in presence of the moon, Unto the remotest generation.
6 Izakwehla njengezulu etshanini obugundiweyo, njengezihlambo ezithambisa umhlaba.
Let him come down, Like rain on fields to be mown, Like myriad drops on land to be reaped.
7 Ensukwini zayo olungileyo uzahluma; lokwanda kokuthula, ize ingabi khona inyanga.
May righteousness, in his days, blossom forth, And abundance of peace, till there be no moon.
8 Izabusa-ke kusukela elwandle kusiya elwandle, lakusukela emfuleni kusiya emikhawulweni yomhlaba.
So let him have dominion, From sea to sea, And from the River ["Euphrates"] unto the ends of the earth;
9 Abahlala enkangala bazakhothama phambi kwayo; izitha zayo zizakhotha uthuli.
Before him, let the men of the desert kneel, But, as for his foes, the dust, let them lick;
10 Amakhosi eTarshishi lawezihlengeni azaletha izipho, amakhosi eShebha leSeba asondeze izipho.
The kings of Tarshish and of the Coastlands, A gift, let them render, The kings of Sheba and Seba, A present, let them bring;
11 Amakhosi wonke azayikhothamela, izizwe zonke ziyikhonze.
Yea let all kings, bow down unto him, Let, all nations, serve him;
12 Ngoba izamkhulula oswelayo ekhala, longumyanga, longelamsizi.
Because he Rescueth, The needy from the rich, The oppressed, who hath no helper;
13 Izahawukela ongumyanga loswelayo, isindise imiphefumulo yabaswelayo.
He Pitieth the weak and the needy, And, the lives of the needy, he Saveth:
14 Izahlenga umphefumulo wabo ecindezelweni ledlakeleni; legazi labo lizakuba ligugu emehlweni ayo.
From extortion, and, violence, he Redeemeth their life, And precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Izaphila, inikwe okwegolide leShebha, ikhulekelwe njalonjalo, usuku lonke ibusiswe.
Let him live, then! And be there given unto him of the gold of Sheba, —Let prayer also be offered for him continually, All the day, let him be blessed.
16 Kuzakuba khona inala yamabele elizweni ezingqongeni zezintaba; izithelo zawo zihatshazele njengeLebhanoni; labomuzi bazahluma njengotshani bomhlaba.
May there be an abundance of corn in the earth, in the top of the mountains, —Let the fruit thereof, wave like Lebanon, And they of the city bloom like the fresh shoots of the earth.
17 Ibizo layo lizakuba khona kuze kube phakade, lebizo layo lizakwanda lisekhona ilanga. Njalo bazabusiswa kuyo; izizwe zonke zizakuthi ibusisiwe.
May his Name be age-abiding, In the presence of the sun, let his Name flourish, —And may all the families of the ground bless themselves in him, All nations, pronounce him happy!
18 Kayibongwe iNkosi uNkulunkulu, uNkulunkulu kaIsrayeli, onguye yedwa owenza imimangaliso.
Blessed be Yahweh God, the God of Israel, —Who doeth wondrous things by himself alone;
19 Kalibusiswe ibizo lakhe elilodumo kuze kube nininini; umhlaba wonke ugcwaliswe ngodumo lwakhe. Ameni, loAmeni!
And blessed be his glorious Name, unto times age-abiding, —And filled with his glory be all the earth, Amen and Amen!
20 Imikhuleko kaDavida indodana kaJese isiphelile.
