1 Ngahlulela, Nkulunkulu, umele udaba lwami esizweni esingesabi uNkulunkulu; ungikhulule emuntwini wenkohliso longalunganga.

Judge me, O God, And plead my cause against a nation not pious, You deliver me from a man of deceit and perverseness,

2 Ngoba wena unguNkulunkulu wesiphephelo sami; ungilahleleni? Ngihambelani ngikwezimnyama ngenxa yocindezelo lwesitha?

For you [are] the God of my strength. Why have You cast me off? Why do I go up and down mourning, In the oppression of an enemy?

3 Thumela ukukhanya kwakho leqiniso lakho, kungikhokhele, kungise entabeni yakho engcwele lemathabhanekeleni akho.

Send forth Your light and Your truth, They lead me, they bring me in, To Your holy hill, and to Your dwelling places.

4 Khona ngizakuya elathini likaNkulunkulu, kuNkulunkulu injabulo yentokozo yami; yebo ngizakudumisa ngechacho, Nkulunkulu, Nkulunkulu wami.

And I go to the altar of God, To God, the joy of my rejoicing. And I thank You with a harp, O God, my God.

5 Udanelani mphefumulo wami? Njalo ukhathazekelani phakathi kwami? Themba kuNkulunkulu, ngoba ngisezamdumisa, ukusiliswa kobuso bami, loNkulunkulu wami.

Why bow yourself, O my soul? And why are you troubled within me? Wait for God, for I still confess Him, The salvation of my countenance, and my God!
