Thank God, the one who is greater than all other gods; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
3 Bongani iNkosi yamakhosi, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini.
Thank the Lord who is greater than all other lords/rulers; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
4 Yona yodwa eyenza izimangaliso ezinkulu, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He is the only one who performs great miracles; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
5 eyenza amazulu ngokuhlakanipha, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He is the one who by being very wise created the heavens; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
6 eyendlala umhlaba phezu kwamanzi, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He is the one who caused the ground to rise up above the deep waters; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
7 eyenza izikhanyiso ezinkulu, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He is the one who created great lights [in the sky]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
8 ilanga ukubusa emini, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He created the sun to shine in the daytime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
9 inyanga lezinkanyezi ukubusa ebusuku, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini.
He created the moon and stars to shine during the nighttime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
10 Yona eyatshaya amaGibhithe kumazibulo awo, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He is the one who killed the firstborn [males] in Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
11 yakhupha uIsrayeli phakathi kwabo, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He led the Israeli people out of Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
12 ngesandla esilamandla langengalo eyeluliweyo, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini.
With his (strong hand/great power) he led them out; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
13 Yona eyehlukanisa uLwandle oluBomvu lwaba yiziqamu, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He is the one who caused the Red Sea to divide; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
14 yenza uIsrayeli adabule phakathi kwalo, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He enabled the Israeli people to walk through it [on dry land]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

But he caused the king of Egypt and his army to drown in it; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

He is the one who led his people [safely through the desert]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
17 Yona eyatshaya amakhosi amakhulu, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He killed powerful kings; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
18 yabulala amakhosi adumileyo, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He killed kings who were famous; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
19 uSihoni inkosi yamaAmori, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He killed Sihon, the king of the Amor people-group; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
20 loOgi inkosi yeBashani, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He killed Og, the king of Bashan [region]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
21 yanika ilizwe labo laba yilifa, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He gave their lands to us, his people; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
22 ilifa kuIsrayeli inceku yayo, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini.
He gave those lands to us people of Israel, who serve him; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
23 Eyasikhumbula ebuphansini bethu, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini;
He is the one who did not forget about us when we were defeated [by our enemies]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
24 yasophula ezitheni zethu, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini.
He rescued us from our enemies; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
25 Enika yonke inyama ukudla, ngoba isihawu sayo simi kuze kube nininini.
He is the one who gives food to all living creatures; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
26 Bongani uNkulunkulu wamazulu, ngoba isihawu sakhe simi kuze kube nininini.
[So] thank God, [who lives in] heaven, [for all those things], because his faithful love [for us] endures forever!
