Amahubo 119
1 Babusisiwe abaqotho endleleni, abahamba emlayweni weNkosi.
Blessed are they that are perfect in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2 Babusisiwe abagcina izifakazelo zayo, abayidinga ngenhliziyo yonke.
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, that seek him with the whole heart.
3 Njalo kabenzi okubi, bahamba endleleni zayo.
Yea, they do no unrighteousness; they walk in his ways.
4 Wena usulayile ukugcina ngokukhuthala imithetho yakho.
Thou hast commanded [us] thy precepts, that we should observe them diligently.
5 Kungathi izindlela zami zingaqondiswa ukugcina izimiso zakho!
Oh that my ways were established to observe thy statutes!
6 Khona ngingayikuyangeka, lapho nginanzelela yonke imithetho yakho.
Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
7 Ngizakudumisa ngobuqotho benhliziyo, sengifunde izahlulelo zokulunga kwakho.
I will give thanks unto thee with uprightness of heart, when I learn thy righteous judgments.
8 Ngizagcina izimiso zakho. Ungangitshiyi ngokupheleleyo.
I will observe thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.
9 Ijaha lingayihlanza ngani indlela yalo? Ngokuqaphela njengokwelizwi lakho.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed [thereto] according to thy word.
10 Ngikudingile ngenhliziyo yami yonke; ungangiphambuli emithethweni yakho.
With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Ilizwi lakho ngilifihlile enhliziyweni yami, ukuze ngingoni kuwe.
Thy word have I laid up in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Kawubongwe wena, Nkosi; ungifundise izimiso zakho.
Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13 Ngezindebe zami ngilandisile zonke izahlulelo zomlomo wakho.
With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 Ngithokozile ngendlela yezifakazelo zakho njengaphezu kwenotho yonke.
I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 Ngizazindla ngemithetho yakho, ngikhangele ezindleleni zakho.
I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
16 Ngizazithokozisa ngezimiso zakho; kangiyikukhohlwa ilizwi lakho.
I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
17 Iphathe kuhle inceku yakho, ukuze ngiphile ngigcine ilizwi lakho.
Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live; so will I observe thy word.
18 Vula amehlo ami ukuze ngibone izimangaliso ezivela emlayweni wakho.
Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
19 Ngiyisihambi emhlabeni; ungangifihleli imithetho yakho.
I am a sojourner in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
20 Umphefumulo wami uyadabuka ngenxa yokulangathela izahlulelo zakho ngaso sonke isikhathi.
My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.
21 Ukhuzile abaziqakisayo abaqalekisiweyo, abaduha emithethweni yakho.
Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do wander from thy commandments.
22 Susa kimi ihlazo lokudelela, ngoba ngigcinile izifakazelo zakho.
Take away from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.
23 Iziphathamandla lazo zahlala zakhuluma zimelene lami; inceku yakho yazindla ngezimiso zakho.
Princes also sat and talked against me: [but] thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
24 Izifakazelo zakho lazo ziyintokozo yami, zingabeluleki bami.
Thy testimonies also are my delight [and] my counsellors.
25 Umphefumulo wami unamathele ethulini; ngivuselela ngokwelizwi lakho.
My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.
26 Ngilandisile indlela zami, wangiphendula. Ngifundisa izimiso zakho.
I declared my ways, and thou answeredst me: teach me thy statutes.
27 Ngenze ngiqedisise indlela yemithetho yakho, ukuze ngikhulume ngezenzo zakho ezimangalisayo.
Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I meditate of thy wondrous works.
28 Umphefumulo wami uyathonta ngenxa yosizi; ngiqinisa ngokwelizwi lakho.
My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.
29 Susa kimi indlela yamanga, unginike ngomusa umlayo wakho.
Remove from me the way of falsehood: and grant me thy law graciously.
30 Ngikhethile indlela yeqiniso, ngibekile phambi kwami izahlulelo zakho.
I have chosen the way of faithfulness: thy judgments have I set [before me].
31 Nginamathele ezifakazelweni zakho; Nkosi, ungangiyangisi.
I cleave unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.
32 Ngizagijima endleleni yemithetho yakho, ngoba uzakhulisa inhliziyo yami.
I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
33 Ngifundisa, Nkosi, indlela yezimiso zakho, njalo ngizayigcinakuze kube sekupheleni.
Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
34 Ngiphe ukuqedisisa ngibe sengigcina umlayo wakho, yebo ngiwulondoloze ngenhliziyo yonke.
Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
35 Ngihambisa endleleni yemithetho yakho, ngoba ngiyathokoza ngayo.
Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
36 Thobisela inhliziyo yami ezifakazelweni zakho, kungabi semhawini.
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Susa amehlo ami ukuze angaboni okuyize; ungivuselele endleleni yakho.
Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity, and quicken me in thy ways.
38 Qinisa ilizwi lakho encekwini yakho ezinikele ukukwesaba.
Confirm thy word unto thy servant, which [belongeth] unto the fear of thee.
39 Susa isigcono engisesabayo, ngoba izahlulelo zakho zilungile.
Turn away my reproach whereof I am afraid; for thy judgments are good.
40 Khangela, ngiyalangatha imithetho yakho; ngivuselela ekulungeni kwakho.
Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.
41 Lezisa zakho kazize kimi, Nkosi, usindiso lwakho ngokwelizwi lakho.
Let thy mercies also come unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 Khona ngizakuba lakho ukuphendula ongithukayo, ngoba ngiyathembela elizwini lakho.
So shall I have an answer for him that reproacheth me; for I trust in thy word.
43 Njalo ungasusi ngokupheleleyo emlonyeni wami ilizwi leqiniso, ngoba ngithembele ezahlulelweni zakho.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
44 Ngokunjalo ngizawugcina umlayo wakho njalonjalo, kuze kube phakade laphakade.
So shall I observe thy law continually for ever and ever.
45 Ngizahamba ebubanzini, ngoba ngidinga imithetho yakho.
And I will walk at liberty; for I have sought thy precepts.
46 Njalo ngizakhuluma ngezifakazelo zakho phambi kwamakhosi, ngingayangeki.
I will also speak of thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.
47 Ngizithokozise ngemithetho yakho engiyithandileyo.
And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
48 Ngizaphakamisela lezandla zami emithethweni yakho engiyithandileyo, ngizindle ngezimiso zakho.
I will lift up my hands also unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
49 Khumbula ilizwi encekwini yakho, ongenze ngathembela kulo.
Remember the word unto thy servant, because thou hast made me to hope.
50 Le yinduduzo yami ekuhluphekeni kwami, ngoba ilizwi lakho lingivuselele.
This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
51 Abazigqajayo bangiklolodela kakhulukazi; kangiphambukanga emlayweni wakho.
The proud have had me greatly in derision: [yet] have I not swerved from thy law.
52 Ngikhumbule izahlulelo zakho zasendulo, Nkosi, futhi ngiziduduzile.
I have remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD, and have comforted myself.
53 Intukuthelo enkulu ingibambile ngenxa yababi abatshiya umlayo wakho.
Hot indignation hath taken hold upon me, because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
54 Izimiso zakho zaba zingoma zami endlini yobuhambuma bami.
Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
55 Ebusuku ngikhumbule ibizo lakho, Nkosi, ngigcine umlayo wakho.
I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have observed thy law.
56 Lokhu kwaba ngokwami ngoba ngigcinile imithetho yakho.
This I have had, because I kept thy precepts.
57 UJehova uyisabelo sami; ngithe ngizagcina amazwi akho.
The LORD is my portion: I have said that I would observe thy words.
58 Ngancenga ubuso bakho ngenhliziyo yonke; woba lomusa kimi ngokwelizwi lakho.
I entreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.
59 Ngazindla ngezindlela zami, ngaphendulela inyawo zami ezifakazelweni zakho.
I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
60 Ngaphangisa, kangiphuzanga ukugcina imithetho yakho.
I made haste, and delayed not, to observe thy commandments.
61 Amaxuku ababi angihanqile; kangikhohlwa umlayo wakho.
The cords of the wicked have wrapped me round; [but] I have not forgotten thy law.
62 Phakathi kobusuku ngizavuka ukuze ngikubonge ngenxa yezahlulelo zokulunga kwakho.
At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.
63 Ngingumngane wabo bonke abakwesabayo, labagcina imithetho yakho.
I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that observe thy precepts.
64 Nkosi, umhlaba ugcwele umusa wakho; ngifundisa izimiso zakho.
The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.
65 Wenzele inceku yakho okuhle, Nkosi, ngokwelizwi lakho.
Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.
66 Ngifundisa ingqondo enhle lolwazi, ngoba ngikholwa imithetho yakho.
Teach me good judgment and knowledge; for I have believed in thy commandments.
67 Ngingakahlupheki ngaduha, kodwa khathesi ngigcine ilizwi lakho.
Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I observe thy word.
68 Wena ulungile, wenza okulungileyo; ngifundisa izimiso zakho.
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
69 Abazigqajayo bangibhaceke ngamanga; ngenhliziyo yonke mina ngizagcina imithetho yakho.
The proud have forged a lie against me: with my whole heart will I keep thy precepts.
70 Inhliziyo yabo inone njengamahwahwa; mina ngithokoza ngomlayo wakho.
Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.
71 Kungilungele ukuthi ngihlutshwe, ukuze ngifunde izimiso zakho.
It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
72 Umlayo womlomo wakho ungcono kimi kulezinkulungwane zegolide lezesiliva.
The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Izandla zakho zingenzile, zangibumba; ngiphe ukuqedisisa ukuze ngifunde imithetho yakho.
Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 Abakwesabayo bazangibona bathokoze, ngoba ngithembele elizwini lakho.
They that fear thee shall see me and be glad; because I have hoped in thy word.
75 Ngiyazi, Nkosi, ukuthi izahlulelo zakho zilungile, lokuthi ungihluphile ngokuthembeka.
I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are righteous, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
76 Umusa wakho ake ube yinduduzo yami njengokutsho kwakho encekwini yakho.
Let, I pray thee, thy lovingkindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.
77 Izihawu zakho kazize kimi ukuze ngiphile, ngoba umlayo wakho uyintokozo yami.
Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.
78 Abazigqajayo kabayangeke, ngoba bangiphambukisa ngamanga; mina ngizazindla ngemithetho yakho.
Let the proud be ashamed; for they have overthrown me wrongfully: [but] I will meditate in thy precepts.
79 Kabaphendukele kimi abakwesabayo, labazi izifakazelo zakho.
Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and they shall know thy testimonies.
80 Inhliziyo yami kayiphelele ezimisweni zakho, ukuze ngingayangeki.
Let my heart be perfect in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.
81 Umphefumulo wami uyaphela ngokulangatha usindiso lwakho; ngithembela elizwini lakho.
My soul fainteth for thy salvation: [but] I hope in thy word.
82 Amehlo ami ayafiphala ngokulangatha ilizwi lakho, ngisithi: Uzangiduduza nini?
Mine eyes fail for thy word, while I say, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Ngoba senginjengomgodla osentuthwini; kangikhohlwa izimiso zakho.
For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.
84 Zingaki insuku zenceku yakho? Uzakwenza nini isigwebo kwabangizingelayo?
How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
85 Abazigqajayo bangigebhela imigodi, okungenjengokomlayo wakho.
The proud have digged pits for me, who are not after thy law.
86 Yonke imithetho yakho ithembekile; bangizingela ngamanga; ngisiza!
All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
87 Baphosa bangiqeda emhlabeni, kodwa mina kangitshiyanga imithetho yakho.
They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.
88 Ngivuselela ngokomusa wakho; ngibe sengigcina isifakazelo somlomo wakho.
Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I observe the testimony of thy mouth.
89 Laphakade, Nkosi, ilizwi lakho limi emazulwini.
For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
90 Uthembeko lwakho lusesizukulwaneni lesizukulwana; wamisa umhlaba, usemi.
Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
91 Ngokwezimiso zakho kusemi lamuhla, ngoba konke kuzinceku zakho.
They abide this day according to thine ordinances; for all things are thy servants.
92 Uba umlayo wakho ubungesizo intokozo zami, ngabe sengibhubhele ekuhluphekeni kwami.
Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
93 Laphakade kangiyikukhohlwa imithetho yakho, ngoba ungivuselele ngayo.
I will never forget thy precepts; for with them thou hast quickened me.
94 Ngingowakho, ungisindise; ngoba ngiyidingile imithetho yakho.
I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.
95 Ababi bangilindele ukungibhubhisa; ngiyananzelela izifakazelo zakho.
The wicked have waited for me to destroy me; [but] I will consider thy testimonies.
96 Ngibonile ukucina kwakho konke ukuphelela, kodwa umlayo wakho ubanzi kakhulu.
I have seen an end of all perfection; [but] thy commandment is exceeding broad.
97 Ngiwuthanda kangakanani umlayo wakho! Usuku lonke uyikuzindla kwami.
Oh how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
98 Ngemithetho yakho uyangihlakaniphisa kulezitha zami, ngoba ilami kuze kube nininini.
Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; for they are ever with me.
99 Ngilokuqedisisa kulabo bonke abafundisi bami, ngoba izifakazelo zakho ziyikuzindla kwami.
I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my (meditation)
100 Ngiyaqedisisa kulabadala, ngoba ngigcina imithetho yakho.
I understand more than the aged, because I have kept thy precepts.
101 Ngizinqandile inyawo zami kuyo yonke indlela embi, ukuze ngigcine ilizwi lakho.
I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might observe thy word.
102 Kangiphambukanga kuzahlulelo zakho, ngoba wena ungifundisile.
I have not turned aside from thy judgments; for thou hast taught me.
103 Amnandi kangakanani amazwi akho ekunambitheni kwami, okwedlula uluju emlonyeni wami!
How sweet are thy words unto my taste! [yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!
104 Emithethweni yakho ngizuza ukuqedisisa; ngenxa yalokho ngizonda yonke indlela yamanga.
Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
105 Ilizwi lakho liyisibane enyaweni lwami, lokukhanya endleleni yami.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and light unto my path,
106 Ngifungile, ngizakuqinisa, ukugcina izahlulelo zokulunga kwakho.
I have sworn, and have confirmed it, that I will observe thy righteous judgments.
107 Ngiyahlupheka kakhulukazi; Nkosi, ngivuselela ngokwelizwi lakho.
I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.
108 Nkosi, yemukela iminikelo yesihle yomlomo wami, ungifundise izahlulelo zakho.
Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.
109 Umphefumulo wami usesandleni sami njalonjalo, kodwa kangikhohlwa umlayo wakho.
My soul is continually in my hand; yet do I not forget thy law.
110 Ababi bangibekele umjibila, kodwa kangiduhanga emithethweni yakho.
The wicked have laid a snare for me; yet went I not astray from thy precepts.
111 Ngidle ilifa lezifakazelo zakho kuze kube nininini, ngoba ziyintokozo yenhliziyo yami.
Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
112 Ngithobe inhliziyo yami ukwenza izimiso zakho njalonjalo, kuze kube sekupheleni.
I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes, for ever, even unto the end.
113 Ngiyabazonda abanhliziyombili, kodwa umlayo wakho ngiyawuthanda.
I hate them that are of a double mind; but thy law do I love.
114 Wena uyisiphephelo sami lesihlangu sami; ngithemba elizwini lakho.
Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
115 Sukani kimi benzi bobubi, ngoba ngigcine imithetho kaNkulunkulu wami.
Depart from me, ye evil-doers; that I may keep the commandments of my God.
116 Ngisekela ngokwelizwi lakho ukuze ngiphile, ungangiyangisi ngethemba lami.
Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live; and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
117 Ngisekela ngibe sengisindiswa, ngizananzelela izimiso zakho njalonjalo.
Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe, and shall have respect unto thy statutes continually.
118 Uyabeyisa bonke abaduha ezimisweni zakho, ngoba ubuqili babo bungamanga.
Thou hast set at nought all them that err from thy statutes; for their deceit is falsehood.
119 Uyasusa bonke ababi bomhlaba njengamanyele; ngakho ngiyazithanda izifakazelo zakho.
Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.
120 Inyama yami iyathuthumela ngovalo ngawe, ngesaba izigwebo zakho.
My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.
121 Ngenzile ukwahlulela lokulunga; ungangiyekeli kubacindezeli bami.
I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.
122 Mela inceku yakho kube kuhle, abazigqajayo kabangangicindezeli.
Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.
123 Amehlo ami aphelela usindiso lwakho, lelizwi lokulunga kwakho.
Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for thy righteous word.
124 Yenza encekwini yakho ngokomusa wakho, ungifundise izimiso zakho.
Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
125 Ngiyinceku yakho; ngiphe ukuqedisisa, ukuze ngazi izifakazelo zakho.
I am thy servant, give me understanding; that I may know thy testimonies.
126 Sekuyisikhathi seNkosi sokuthi isebenze, ngoba bawephule umlayo wakho.
It is time for the LORD to work; [for] they have made void thy law.
127 Ngakho-ke ngiyayithanda imithetho yakho kakhulu kulegolide, yebo, kulegolide elicwengekileyo.
Therefore I love thy commandments above gold, yea, above fine gold.
128 Ngalokho imithetho yakho yonke mayelana lazo zonke izinto ngiyibona iqondile; yonke indlela yamanga ngiyayizonda.
Therefore I esteem all [thy] precepts concerning all [things] to be right; [and] I hate every false way.
129 Izifakazelo zakho ziyamangalisa; ngakho-ke umphefumulo wami uyazigcina.
Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.
130 Ukuvulwa kwamazwi akho kuyakhanyisa, kunika ukuqedisisa kwabangelalwazi.
The opening of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
131 Ngavula umlomo wami, ngaphefuzela, ngoba ngalangazelela imithetho yakho.
I opened wide my mouth, and panted; for I longed for thy commandments.
132 Phendukela kimi, ube lomusa kimi, njengomkhuba kulabo abathanda ibizo lakho.
Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.
133 Qinisa izinyathelo zami ngelizwi lakho, njalo kabungabusi phezu kwami labubi.
Order my footsteps in thy word; and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Ngikhulula kucindezelo lwabantu, ukuze ngigcine imithetho yakho.
Redeem me from the oppression of man: so will I observe thy precepts.
135 Khanyisa ubuso bakho phezu kwenceku yakho, ungifundise izimiso zakho.
Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.
136 Imifula yamanzi iyehla emehlweni ami, ngoba kabagcini umlayo wakho.
Mine eyes run down with rivers of water, because they observe not thy law.
137 Wena, Nkosi, ulungile, ziqondile izahlulelo zakho.
Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments.
138 Ulayile izifakazelo zakho ekulungeni lekuthembekeni okukhulu.
Thou hast commanded thy testimonies in righteousness and very faithfulness.
139 Ukutshiseka kwami kungiqedile, ngoba izitha zami zikhohlwe amazwi akho.
My zeal hath consumed me, because mine adversaries have forgotten thy words.
140 Ilizwi lakho licwengekile kakhulu; ngakho inceku yakho iyalithanda.
Thy word is very pure; therefore thy servant loveth it.
141 Ngimncinyane, ngidelelekile; imithetho yakho kangiyikhohlwa.
I am small and despised: [yet] do not I forget thy precepts.
142 Ukulunga kwakho kuyikulunga kuze kube phakade, lomlayo wakho uliqiniso.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.
143 Ucindezelo lohlupho kungifumene; imithetho yakho izintokozo zami.
Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: [yet] thy commandments are my delight.
144 Ukulunga kwezifakazelo zakho kungokwaphakade; ngiphe ukuqedisisa ukuze ngiphile.
Thy testimonies are righteous for ever: give me understanding, and I shall live.
145 Ngakhala ngenhliziyo yami yonke; ngiphendula, Nkosi. Ngizagcina izimiso zakho.
I have called with my whole heart; answer me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes.
146 Ngikhalela kuwe; ngisindisa, njalo ngizagcina izifakazelo zakho.
I have called unto thee; save me, and I shall observe thy testimonies.
147 Ngandulela uvivi, ngakhala; ngathembela elizwini lakho.
I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy words.
148 Amehlo ami aqalela imilindo yobusuku, ukuze ngizindle elizwini lakho.
Mine eyes prevented the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
149 Zwana ilizwi lami ngokomusa wakho; Nkosi, ngivuselela ngokwesahlulelo sakho.
Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy judgments.
150 Bayasondela abazingeli bobubi, bakhatshana lomlayo wakho.
They draw nigh that follow after wickedness; they are far from thy law.
151 Wena useduze, Nkosi, lemithetho yakho yonke iliqiniso.
Thou art nigh, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.
152 Sekukade ngisazi ngemilayo yakho ukuthi uyisekele kuze kube nininini.
Of old have I known from thy testimonies, that thou hast founded them for ever.
153 Khangela ukuhlupheka kwami, ungikhulule, ngoba kangiwukhohlwa umlayo wakho.
Consider mine affliction, and deliver me; for I do not forget thy law.
154 Mela udaba lwami, ungihlenge; ngivuselela ngokwelizwi lakho.
Plead thou my cause, and redeem me: quicken me according to thy word.
155 Usindiso lukhatshana lababi, ngoba kabadingi izimiso zakho.
Salvation is far from the wicked; for they seek not thy statutes.
156 Izihawu zakho, Nkosi, zinkulu; ngivuselela ngokwezahlulelo zakho.
Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.
157 Banengi abangizingelayo labayizitha zami; kangiphambuki ezifakazelweni zakho.
Many are my persecutors and mine adversaries; [yet] have I not swerved from they testimonies.
158 Ngabona abaphambuki, ngacunuka, ngoba kabagcinanga ilizwi lakho.
I beheld the treacherous dealers, and was grieved; because they observed not thy word.
159 Bona ukuthi ngiyayithanda imithetho yakho. Ngivuselela, Nkosi, ngokothandolomusa wakho.
Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.
160 Ilizwi lakho liliqiniso kwasekuqaleni, laso sonke isahlulelo sakho esilungileyo simi kuze kube nininini.
The sum of thy word is truth; and every one of thy righteous judgments [endureth] for ever.
161 Iziphathamandla zingizingela kungelasizatho; kodwa inhliziyo yami ilovalo ngamazwi akho.
Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but my heart standeth in awe of thy words.
162 Ngiyathokoza ngelizwi lakho njengothole impango enkulu.
I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
163 Amanga ngiyawazonda ngiyawenyanya; umlayo wakho ngiyawuthanda.
I hate and abhor falsehood; [but] thy law do I love.
164 Kasikhombisa ngosuku ngiyakudumisa ngenxa yezahlulelo zakho ezilungileyo.
Seven times a day do I praise thee, because of thy righteous judgments.
165 Balokuthula okukhulu abathanda umlayo wakho; njalo kakulasikhubekiso kubo.
Great peace have they which love thy law; and they have none occasion of stumbling.
166 Ngilindele usindiso lwakho, Nkosi, ngiyayenza imithetho yakho.
I have hoped for thy salvation, O LORD, and have done thy commandments.
167 Umphefumulo wami uyazigcina izifakazelo zakho, ngiyazithanda kakhulu.
My soul hath observed thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.
168 Ngiyagcina imithetho yakho lezifakazelo zakho, ngoba zonke indlela zami ziphambi kwakho.
I have observed thy precepts and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee.
169 Ukukhala kwami kakusondele kuwe, Nkosi; ngiphe ukuqedisisa ngokwelizwi lakho.
Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.
170 Ukuncenga kwami kakufike phambi kwakho; ngikhulula ngokwelizwi lakho.
Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.
171 Indebe zami zizathulula indumiso, ngoba ungifundisile izimiso zakho.
Let my lips utter praise; for thou teachest me thy statutes.
172 Ulimi lwami luzakhuluma ilizwi lakho, ngoba yonke imithetho yakho iyikulunga.
Let my tongue sing of thy word; for all thy commandments are righteousness.
173 Isandla sakho kasibe lusizo lwami, ngoba ngikhethile imithetho yakho.
Let thine hand be ready to help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.
174 Ngiyalangazelela usindiso lwakho, Nkosi, lomlayo wakho uyintokozo yami.
I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.
175 Kawuphile umphefumulo wami, njalo uzakudumisa, lezahlulelo zakho zingisize.
Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.
176 Ngiduhile njengemvu elahlekileyo; dinga inceku yakho, ngoba kangikhohlwa imithetho yakho.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.
