1 Ngiyayithanda iNkosi, ngoba izwile ilizwi lami, ukunxusa kwami.

I love the Lord because he listens to me, he hears my calls for help.

2 Ngoba ibeke indlebe yayo kimi, ngakho ngizayibiza ensukwini zami.

Because he pays attention to what I say I will pray to him as long as I live.

6 INkosi iyabalondoloza abathobekileyo; ngehliselwa phansi, yasingisindisa.

I will lift up the cup of salvation and worship the Lord.

14 Ngizakhokha izifungo zami eNkosini, khathesi phambi kwabantu bayo bonke.

I will keep my promises to the Lord so everyone can see.

15 Kuligugu emehlweni eNkosi ukufa kwabangcwele bayo.

It hurts the Lord when those who trust in him die.

16 Hawu Nkosi, isibili ngiyinceku yakho, ngiyinceku yakho, indodana yencekukazi yakho; uthukulule izibopho zami.

Lord, I really am your slave, serving you as my mother served you before me, yet you have set me free.

I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to you and I will worship you.

I will keep my promises to the Lord so everyone can see,
