1 Dumisani iNkosi! Dumisani, zinceku zeNkosi, dumisani ibizo leNkosi.

Praise the Lord! Praise him, servants of the Lord! Praise the Lord's as he is!

2 Kalibongwe ibizo leNkosi kusukela khathesi njalo kuze kube nininini.

Let the Lord's nature be praised, now and forever.

3 Kusukela ekuphumeni kwelanga kuze kube sekutshoneni kwalo ibizo leNkosi kalidunyiswe.

Let everyone everywhere, from the east to the west, praise the Lord as he is!

4 INkosi iphakeme phezu kwezizwe zonke, ubukhosi bayo buphezu kwamazulu.

The Lord rules supreme over all nations; his glory extends higher than the heavens.

5 Ngubani onjengeNkosi uNkulunkulu wethu, ehlezi phezulu,

Who is like the Lord our God? He is the one who lives on high, seated on his throne.

6 ekhothama ukukhangela emazulwini lemhlabeni?

He has to stoop low to look down on the heavens and the earth.

7 Iyamvusa umyanga ethulini, imphakamise osweleyo enqunjini yomquba,

He helps the poor up from the dust; he lifts the needy from the dump.

8 ukuze imhlalise leziphathamandla, kanye leziphathamandla zabantu bayo.

He gives them positions of honor together important leaders, with leaders of his own people.

9 Ihlalisa inyumba emzini, unina wabantwana othokozayo. Dumisani iNkosi!

He makes the childless woman happy in her home by giving her children. Praise the Lord!
