Amahubo 112

1 Dumisani iNkosi! Ubusisiwe umuntu oyesabayo iNkosi, othokoza kakhulu ngemithetho yayo.

Alleluia. Blessed is the man that fears the Lord: he will delight greatly in his commandments.

2 Inzalo yakhe izakuba lamandla emhlabeni; isizukulwana sabaqotho sizabusiswa.

His seed shall be mighty in the earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3 Imfuyo lenotho kuzakuba sendlini yakhe, lokulunga kwakhe kuzakuma kuze kube nininini.

Glory and riches shall be in his house; and his righteousness endures for evermore.

4 Kuyabaphumela abaqotho ukukhanya emnyameni; ilomusa lesihawu lokulunga.

To the upright light has sprung up in darkness: he is pitiful, and merciful, and righteous.

5 Umuntu olungileyo ngolesisa lowebolekisayo, wenza izindaba zakhe ngokulunga.

The good man is he that pities and lends: he will direct his affairs with judgement.

6 Ngoba kayikunyikinywa phakade; olungileyo uzakuba sekukhunjulweni kuze kube nininini.

For he shall not be moved for ever; the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7 Kayikwesaba umbiko omubi, inhliziyo yakhe iqinile, ithemba eNkosini.

He shall not be afraid of [any] evil report: his heart is ready to trust in the Lord.

8 Isekelwe inhliziyo yakhe, kayikwesaba, aze abone isiloyiso sakhe phezu kwezitha zakhe.

His heart is established, he shall not fear, till he shall see [his desire] upon his enemies.

9 Uhlakazile, uyabanika abayanga; ukulunga kwakhe kumi kuze kube nininini; uphondo lwakhe luzaphakanyiswa ngodumo.

He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures for evermore: his horn shall be exalted with honour.

10 Omubi uyakubona, athukuthele; agedle amazinyo akhe, ancibilike; isifiso sababi sizabhubha.

The sinner shall see and be angry, he shall gnash his teeth, and consume away: the desire of the sinner shall perish.
