1 Dumisani iNkosi! Ngizayibonga iNkosi ngenhliziyo yonke, emhlanganweni wabaqotho lebandleni.

Hallelujah. I will thank the Lord with all [my] heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.

2 Mikhulu imisebenzi yeNkosi, idingwa yilabo abathokoza ngayo.

Great are the works of the Lord, they are sought for [by them] in all their desires.

3 Ulodumo lenkazimulo umsebenzi wayo, lokulunga kwayo kumi kuze kube nininini.

Glorious and majestic is his doing, and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4 Yenzile izimangaliso zayo zikhunjulwe; iNkosi ilomusa lesihawu.

He hath made a memorial for his wonderful works: gracious and merciful is the Lord.

5 Iyabapha ukudla labo abayesabayo; iyakhumbula kuze kube phakade isivumelwano sayo.

He hath given sustenance unto those that fear him: he will for ever be mindful of his covenant.

6 Yazisile abantu bayo amandla emisebenzi yayo, ngokubanika ilifa lezizwe.

The power of his works hath he told unto his people, that he might give them the heritage of nations.

7 Imisebenzi yezandla zayo iliqiniso lokwehlulela; imithetho yayo yonke iqinisekile.

The works of his hands are truth and justice: faultless are all his precepts.

8 Isekelwe kuze kube phakade laphakade, yenziwa ngeqiniso langobuqotho.

They are well supported for ever and eternally: they are framed in truth and uprightness.

9 Yathumela uhlengo ebantwini bayo; ilaye isivumelwano sayo kuze kube nininini; lingcwele liyesabeka ibizo layo.

Redemption hath he sent unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and to be feared is his name.

10 Ukuyesaba iNkosi kuyikuqala kokuhlakanipha; balokuqedisisa okuhle bonke abayenzayo imilayo. Indumiso yayo imi kuze kube nininini.

The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord; a good understanding have all that fulfill [his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.
