Amahubo 103
1 Bonga iNkosi, mphefumulo wami, lakho konke okuphakathi kwami kubonge ibizo layo elingcwele.
Bless, O my soul, Yahweh, —And all that is within me, his holy Name;
2 Busisa iNkosi, mphefumulo wami, ungakhohlwa zonke izinzuzo zayo,
Bless, O my soul, Yahweh, And forget not all his dealings: —
3 ethethelela zonke izono zakho, eyelapha zonke izifo zakho,
Who forgiveth all thine iniquity, Who healeth all thy diseases;
4 ehlenga impilo yakho ekubhujisweni, ekwethwesa umqhele womusa lezihawu,
Who redeemeth, from destruction, thy life, Who crowneth thee, with lovingkindness and compassion:
5 esuthisa umlomo wakho ngokuhle, ukuze ubutsha bakho buvuswe njengobokhozi.
Who satisfieth, with good, thine age, Thy youth, reneweth itself like an eagle.
6 INkosi iyabenzela ukulunga lezahlulelo bonke abacindezelweyo.
Yahweh is one, who executeth righteousness, Yea vindication for all the oppressed.
7 Yamazisa uMozisi indlela zayo, abantwana bakoIsrayeli izenzo zayo.
Who made known his ways unto Moses, unto the sons of Israel, his doings.
8 INkosi ilesihawu lomusa, iyaphuza ukuthukuthela, njalo ivame ububele.
Compassionate and gracious, is Yahweh, —Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness.
9 Kayiyikuphikisana njalonjalo, kayiyikugcina intukuthelo kuze kube nininini.
Not perpetually, will he contend, Nor age-abidingly, retain anger;
10 Kayisenzelanga njengokwezono zethu, kayisiphindiselanga njengokweziphambeko zethu.
Not according to our sins, hath he dealt with us, Nor according to our iniquities, hath he treated us.
11 Ngoba njengokuphakama kwamazulu ngaphezu komhlaba, umkhulu umusa wayo kubo abayesabayo.
For, as the heavens are exalted over the earth, His lovingkindness hath prevailed over them who revere him;
12 Njengobukhatshana bempumalanga kuyo intshonalanga, ngokunjalo izisusele khatshana lathi iziphambeko zethu.
As far as East from West, Hath he put far from us, our transgressions;
13 Njengoyise ehawukela abantwana, iNkosi iyabahawukela labo abayesabayo.
Like the compassion of a father for his children, Is, the compassion of Yahweh, for them who revere him;
14 Ngoba iyakwazi ukubunjwa kwethu, ikhumbula ukuthi siluthuli.
For, he, knoweth how we are formed, He is mindful that, dust, we are.
15 Umuntu, insuku zakhe zinjengotshani; njengeluba leganga, ngokunjalo uyakhahlela.
As for man, like grass, are his days, Like the blossom of the field, so, doth he blossom;
16 Ngoba umoya wedlula phezu kwakhe, njalo angabikho, lendawo yakhe ingabe isamazi.
For, a wind, hath passed over it, and it is gone, And its own place is acquainted with it no more.
17 Kodwa umusa weNkosi usukela ephakadeni usiya ephakadeni phezu kwabayesabayo, lokulunga kwayo kuze kube sebantwaneni babantwana,
But, the lovingkindness of Yahweh, is from one age even to another, Upon them who revere him, And his righteousness, to children’s children: —
18 kubo abagcina isivumelwano sayo, lakubo abakhumbula imithetho yayo ukuyenza.
To such as keep his covenant, And remember his precepts, to do them.
19 INkosi imisile isihlalo sayo sobukhosi emazulwini, lombuso wayo ubusa phezu kwakho konke.
Yahweh, in the heavens, hath established his throne, And, his kingdom, over all, hath dominion.
20 Busisani iNkosi, lina zingilosi zayo, maqhawe alamandla, ezenza ilizwi layo, lilalela ilizwi lelizwi layo.
Bless Yahweh, ye messengers of his, —Heroes of vigour, doing his word, To hearken [again] to the voice of his word;
21 Bongani iNkosi, lonke mabandla ayo, zikhonzi zayo, ezenza intando yayo.
Bless Yahweh, all ye his hosts, Attendants of his, doing his pleasure;
22 Bongani iNkosi, lonke misebenzi yayo, endaweni zonke zombuso wayo. Bonga iNkosi, mphefumulo wami.
Bless Yahweh, all ye his works, In all places of his dominion, Bless, O my soul, Yahweh.
