1 INkosi yasikhuluma kuMozisi lakuAroni isithi:
And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2 Abantwana bakoIsrayeli bazamisa amathente abo, kube ngulowo lalowo ngophawu lwakhe, ngokwezibonakaliso zezindlu zaboyise; bazamisa amathente abo bucwadlana lethente lenhlangano inhlangothi zonke.
The children of Israel shall pitch every man by his own standard, with the ensigns of their fathers’ houses: over against the tent of meeting shall they pitch round about.
3 Labo abamisa amathente abo ngempumalanga lapho okuphuma khona ilanga, bangabophawu lwenkamba yakoJuda ngokwamabutho abo, lesiphathamandla sabantwana bakoJuda sizakuba nguNashoni indodana kaAminadaba;
And those that pitch on the east side toward the sunrising shall be they of the standard of the camp of Judah, according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
4 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo babo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi ayisikhombisa lane lamakhulu ayisithupha.
And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.
5 Lalabo abamisa amathente abo eceleni kwakhe ngabesizwe sakoIsakari, lesiphathamandla sabantwana bakoIsakari sizakuba nguNethaneli indodana kaZuwari;
And those that pitch next unto him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and the prince of the children of Issachar shall be Nethanel the son of Zuar:
6 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo balo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amahlanu lane lamakhulu amane.
and his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred:
7 Isizwe sakoZebuluni: Isiphathamandla sabantwana bakoZebuluni sizakuba-ke nguEliyabi indodana kaHeloni;
[and] the tribe of Zebulun: and the prince of the children of Zebulun shall be Eliab the son of Helon:
8 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo balo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amahlanu lesikhombisa lamakhulu amane.
and his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.
9 Bonke ababalwayo benkamba yakoJuda babeyizinkulungwane ezilikhulu lamatshumi ayisificaminwembili lamakhulu amane, ngamabutho abo; bazasuka kuqala.
All that were numbered of the camp of Judah were an hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, according to their hosts. They shall set forth first.
10 Uphawu lwenkamba yakoRubeni luzakuba ngeningizimu, ngamabutho abo, lesiphathamandla sabantwana bakoRubeni sizakuba nguElizuri indodana kaShedewuri;
On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.
11 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo balo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amane lesithupha lamakhulu amahlanu.
And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.
12 Lalabo abamisa amathente abo eceleni kwakhe ngabesizwe sakoSimeyoni, lesiphathamandla sabantwana bakoSimeyoni sizakuba nguShelumiyeli indodana kaZurishadayi;
And those that pitch next unto him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the prince of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai:
13 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo babo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amahlanu lesificamunwemunye lamakhulu amathathu.
and his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred:
14 Lesizwe sakoGadi: Isiphathamandla sabantwana bakoGadi sizakuba-ke nguEliyasafi indodana kaRehuweli;
and the tribe of Gad: and the prince of the children of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.
15 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo babo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amane lanhlanu lamakhulu ayisithupha lamatshumi amahlanu.
And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and five thousand and six hundred and fifty.
16 Bonke ababalwayo benkamba yakoRubeni babeyizinkulungwane ezilikhulu lamatshumi amahlanu lanye lamakhulu amane lamatshumi amahlanu, ngamabutho abo. Njalo bazakuba ngabesibili ekusukeni.
All that were numbered of the camp of Reuben were an hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, according to their hosts. And they shall set forth second.
17 Emva kwalokhu kuzasuka ithente lenhlangano, lenkamba yamaLevi phakathi kwenkamba; njengokumisa kwabo inkamba ngokunjalo bazasuka, kube ngulowo lalowo endaweni yakhe, ngokwempawu zabo.
Then the tent of meeting shall set forward, with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camps: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place, by their standards.
18 Uphawu lwenkamba yakoEfrayimi ngamabutho abo luzakuba sentshonalanga, lesiphathamandla sabantwana bakoEfrayimi sizakuba nguElishama indodana kaAmihudi;
On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.
19 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo babo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amane lamakhulu amahlanu.
And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty thousand and five hundred.
20 Leceleni kwakhe isizwe sakoManase, lesiphathamandla sabantwana bakoManase sizakuba nguGamaliyeli indodana kaPedazuri;
And next unto him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: and the prince of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur:
21 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo babo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amathathu lambili lamakhulu amabili.
and his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred:
22 Lesizwe sakoBhenjamini; isiphathamandla sabantwana bakoBhenjamini sizakuba-ke nguAbidani indodana kaGideyoni;
and the tribe of Benjamin: and the prince of the children of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni:
23 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo babo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amathathu lanhlanu lamakhulu amane.
and his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.
24 Bonke ababalwayo benkamba yakoEfrayimi babeyizinkulungwane ezilikhulu lesificaminwembili lekhulu, ngamabutho abo. Njalo bazakuba ngabesithathu ekusukeni.
All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were an hundred thousand and eight thousand and an hundred, according to their hosts. And they shall set forth third.
25 Uphawu lwenkamba yakoDani luzakuba ngenyakatho, ngamabutho abo, lesiphathamandla sabantwana bakoDani sizakuba nguAhiyezeri indodana kaAmishadayi;
On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
26 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo babo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi ayisithupha lambili lamakhulu ayisikhombisa.
And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.
27 Labamisa amathente abo eceleni kwakhe kuzakuba yisizwe sakoAsheri, lesiphathamandla sabantwana bakoAsheri sizakuba nguPagiyeli indodana kaOkirani;
And those that pitch next unto him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the prince of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ochran:
28 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo babo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amane lanye lamakhulu amahlanu.
and his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred:
29 Lesizwe sakoNafithali; isiphathamandla sabantwana bakoNafithali sizakuba-ke nguAhira indodana kaEnani;
and the tribe of Naphtali: and the prince of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan:
30 lebutho lakhe lababalwayo babo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amahlanu lantathu lamakhulu amane.
and his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
31 Bonke ababalwayo benkamba yakoDani babeyizinkulungwane ezilikhulu lamatshumi amahlanu lesikhombisa lamakhulu ayisithupha. Bazakuba ngabokucina ekusukeni ngokwempawu zabo.
All that were numbered of the camp of Dan were an hundred thousand and fifty and seven thousand and six hundred. They shall set forth hindmost by their standards.
32 Yibo labo ababalwayo babantwana bakoIsrayeli ngezindlu zaboyise. Bonke ababalwayo bezinkamba ngokwamabutho abo babeyizinkulungwane ezingamakhulu ayisithupha lantathu lamakhulu amahlanu lamatshumi amahlanu.
These are they that were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses: all that were numbered of the camps according to their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
33 Kodwa amaLevi kawabalwanga phakathi kwabantwana bakoIsrayeli, njengalokho iNkosi yayimlayile uMozisi.
But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses.
34 Njalo abantwana bakoIsrayeli benza njengalokho konke iNkosi eyayimlaye khona uMozisi; ngokunjalo bamisa amathente abo ngokwempawu zabo futhi basuka ngokunjalo, ngulowo lalowo ngosendo lwakhe ngokwendlu kayise.
Thus did the children of Israel; according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one by their families, according to their fathers’ houses.
