< UJobe 26 >

1 Wasephendula uJobe wathi:
Then answered Job, and said,
2 Umsize njani ongelamandla, wasindisa ingalo engelamandla?
What assistance hast thou given to the powerless? [how] hast thou helped the arm without strength?
3 Umeluleke njani ongelakuhlakanipha, watshumayela ngobunengi ulwazi oluqotho?
How hast thou counselled the unwise? and what sound wisdom hast thou made known so plentifully?
4 Utshele bani amazwi? Njalo ngumoya kabani ophume kuwe?
To whom hast thou told words? and whose spirit came from thee?
5 Abafileyo bayathuthumela ngaphansi kwamanzi, labahlali bawo.
The departed are called into being beneath the waters, and their inhabitants.
6 Isihogo sinqunu phambi kwakhe, lencithakalo kayilasisibekelo. (Sheol h7585)
Naked is the nether world before him, and there is no covering for the place of corruption. (Sheol h7585)
7 Welulela inyakatho phezu kwendawo engelalutho, aphanyeke umhlaba phezu kweze.
He stretched out the north over empty space; he suspended the earth on nothing;
8 Uyabophela amanzi emayezini akhe, kodwa amayezi kawadabuki ngaphansi kwawo.
He bound up the waters in his clouds; and the cloud bursteth not under their weight;
9 Uyasibekela ubuso besihlalo sakhe sobukhosi, endlale iyezi phezu kwaso.
He closed up the surface of his throne, spreading over it his cloud;
10 Udwebe umngcele oyisigombolozi phezu kobuso bamanzi, kuze kube sekucineni kokukhanya lomnyama.
A fixed limit he compassed off over the face of the waters, for the division of the light and darkness.
11 Insika zamazulu ziyathuthumela, zethuswa yikukhuza kwakhe.
The pillars of heaven tremble greatly, and are astounded at his rebuke.
12 Ngamandla akhe uthulisa ulwandle, langenhlakanipho yakhe uphahlaza ukuziqhenya.
By his power he split in pieces the sea, and by his understanding he crushed [its] pride:
13 Ngomoya wakhe ucecise amazulu; isandla sakhe sagwaza inyoka ebalekayo.
By his breath the heavens [acquired] beauty; his hand hath created the flying serpent.
14 Khangela, lokhu kungamaphethelo ezindlela zakhe; kodwa kuzwakala into encinyane kangakanani ngaye! Kanti umdumo wamandla akhe ngubani ongawuqedisisa?
Lo, these are ends of his ways; for how slight a whisper is heard [by us] of him! but the thunder of his mighty deeds who can understand?
