2 Ukubusa lokwesabeka kulaye; uyenza ukuthula endaweni zakhe eziphezulu.

4 Pho umuntu angalunga njani kuNkulunkulu? Kumbe ozelwe ngowesifazana angahlambuluka njani?

How then can a man be just before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

5 Khangela kuze kube senyangeni, njalo kayikhazimuli, lezinkanyezi kazihlambulukanga emehlweni akhe.

If even the moon does not shine, and the stars are not pure in His sight,

6 Pho kangakanani umuntu oyimpethu, lendodana yomuntu engumswenya!

how much less man, who is but a maggot, and the son of man, who is but a worm!”
