1 INkosi yasisithi kuNowa: Ngena wena lendlu yakho yonke emkhunjini, ngoba wena ngikubone ulungile phambi kwami kulesisizukulwana.
And he said Yahweh to Noah go you and all household your into the ark for you I have seen righteous before me in the generation this.
2 Kuyo yonke inyamazana ehlambulukileyo uzazithathela ngasikhombisa ngasikhombisa, enduna lensikazi yayo; njalo kuyo inyamazana engahlambulukanga ezimbili, enduna lensikazi yayo.
Of all - the livestock clean you will take for yourself seven seven a male and female its and of the animal[s] which not [is] clean it two a male and female its.
3 Lakuzo inyoni zamazulu ngasikhombisa ngasikhombisa, enduna lensikazi, ukulondoloza inhlanyelo iphila ebusweni bomhlaba wonke.
Also of [the] bird[s] of the heavens seven seven male and female to preserve alive offspring on [the] surface of all the earth.
4 Ngoba kusele izinsuku eziyisikhombisa, besenginisa izulu emhlabeni, izinsuku ezingamatshumi amane lobusuku obungamatshumi amane, ngibhubhise konke okuphilayo, engakwenzayo, ebusweni bomhlaba.
For to days yet seven I [am] about to bring rain on the earth forty day[s] and forty night[s] and I will wipe all the existence which I have made from on [the] surface of the ground.
5 UNowa wasesenza njengakho konke iNkosi eyamlaya khona.
And he did Noah according to all that he commanded him Yahweh.
6 UNowa wayeleminyaka engamakhulu ayisithupha, lapho uzamcolo wamanzi ephezu komhlaba.
And Noah [was] a son of six hundred year[s] and the flood was water on the earth.
7 UNowa wasengena emkhunjini lamadodana akhe lomkakhe labafazi bamadodana akhe kanye laye, ngenxa yamanzi kazamcolo.
And he went Noah and sons his and wife his and [the] wives of sons his with him into the ark because of [the] waters of the flood.
8 Kuzo inyamazana ezihlambulukileyo, lakuzo inyamazana ezingahlambulukanga, lakuzo inyoni, lakukho konke okuhuquzelayo phezu komhlaba,
Of the animal[s] clean and of the animal[s] which not [was] it clean and of the bird[s] and all that [was] creeping on the ground.
9 ngambili ngambili kweza kuNowa emkhunjini, okuduna lokusikazi, njengoba uNkulunkulu emlayile uNowa.
Two two they came to Noah into the ark male and female just as he had commanded God Noah.
10 Kwasekusithi emva kwensuku eziyisikhombisa amanzi kazamcolo ayephezu komhlaba.
And it was to [the] seven the days and [the] waters of the flood they were on the earth.
11 Ngomnyaka wamakhulu ayisithupha wempilo kaNowa, ngenyanga yesibili, ngosuku lwetshumi lesikhombisa lwenyanga, ngalolosuku yonke imithombo yokujula okukhulu yaqhekezwa, lamasango empophoma zamazulu avulwa.
In year six hundred year of [the] life of Noah in the month second on [the] seven-teen day of the month on the day this they were split open all [the] springs of [the] deep great and [the] floodgates of the heavens they were opened.
12 Izulu laliphezu komhlaba insuku ezingamatshumi amane lobusuku obungamatshumi amane.
And it was the rain on the earth forty day[s] and forty night[s].
13 Ngalolosuku olufananayo uNowa wangena loShemu loHamu loJafethi, amadodana kaNowa, lomkaNowa, labafazi abathathu bamadodana akhe kanye labo, emkhunjini,
On [the] substance of the day this he went Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth [the] sons of Noah and [the] wife of Noah and [the] three [the] wives of sons his with them into the ark.
14 bona, layo yonke inyamazana ngohlobo lwayo, laso sonke isifuyo ngohlobo lwaso, lakho konke okuhuquzelayo kuhuquzela phezu komhlaba ngohlobo lwakho, lakho konke okuphaphayo ngohlobo lwakho, yonke inyoni yalo lonke uphiko.
They and every animal to kind its and all the livestock to kind its and every creeping thing which creeps on the earth to kind its and every bird to kind its every bird every wing.
15 Zasezingena kuNowa emkhunjini, ngambili ngambili, kuyo yonke inyama, okukuyo umoya wempilo.
And they came to Noah into the ark two two of all flesh which [was] in it [the] breath of life.
16 Lezangenayo, kwangena enduna lensikazi kuyo yonke inyama, njengalokho uNkulunkulu ayemlaye khona; iNkosi yasimvalela phakathi.
And those [which] came male and female of all flesh they came just as he had commanded him God and he closed Yahweh behind him.
17 Uzamcolo wasesiba semhlabeni insuku ezingamatshumi amane; amanzi asesanda asephakamisa umkhumbi, waze waphakama phezu komhlaba.
And it was the flood forty day[s] on the earth and they increased the waters and they lifted the ark and it rose from on the earth.
18 Amanzi asephakama ngamandla, anda kakhulu phezu komhlaba; lomkhumbi wahamba phezu kobuso bamanzi.
And they increased the waters and they increased exceedingly on the earth and it went the ark on [the] surface of the waters.
19 Amanzi asephakama ngamandla kakhulukazi emhlabeni, zaze zasitshekelwa zonke intaba eziphakemeyo ezingaphansi kwamazulu wonke.
And the waters they increased exceedingly exceedingly on the earth and they were covered all the mountains high which [were] under all the heavens.
20 Izingalo ezilitshumi lanhlanu amanzi aqonga aphakama ngamandla, lezintaba zasitshekelwa.
Fif-teen cubit[s] from to above they increased the waters and they were covered the mountains.
21 Yonke-ke inyama yaphela, eyayihamba phezu komhlaba, eyenyoni, leyesifuyo, leyenyamazana, leyakho konke okuhuquzelayo kuhuquzela phezu komhlaba, laye wonke umuntu;
And it died all flesh - which crept on the earth among the bird[s] and among the livestock and among the animal[s] and among every swarming thing which swarms on the earth and every human.
22 konke okulokuphefumula komoya wempilo emakhaleni akho, kwakho konke okusemhlabeni owomileyo, kwafa.
All that [the] breath of [the] breath of life [was] in nostrils its from all that [was] on the dry ground they died.
23 Kwachithwa konke okwakukhona, okwakusebusweni bomhlaba, kusukela emuntwini kusiya esifuyweni kusiya kokuhuquzelayo njalo kusiya enyonini yamazulu; kwasekuchithwa emhlabeni; kwasekutshiywa uNowa kuphela, lalokho ayelakho emkhunjini.
And he wiped out all the existence - which - [was] on [the] surface of the ground from humankind unto animal[s] unto creeping thing[s] and unto [the] bird[s] of the heavens and they were wiped out from the earth and he was left only Noah and which [were] with him in the ark.
24 Lamanzi ayephakama ngamandla phezu komhlaba, okwensuku ezilikhulu lamatshumi amahlanu.
And they increased the waters on the earth fifty and one hundred day[s].
