1 UMozisi wasebuthanisa inhlangano yonke yabantwana bakoIsrayeli, wathi kubo: La ngamazwi iNkosi ewalayileyo ukuthi liwenze.
Moses/I gathered all the Israeli people together and said to them, “This is what Yahweh has commanded you to do:
2 Insuku eziyisithupha kuzakwenziwa umsebenzi, kodwa ngosuku lwesikhombisa kuzakuba yibungcwele kini, isabatha lokuphumula eNkosini; loba ngubani owenza umsebenzi ngalo uzabulawa.
[Each week] you may work for six days, but on the seventh day you must rest. It is a sacred day, dedicated to Yahweh. Anyone who does any work on the seventh day must be executed.
3 Lingabasi umlilo ngosuku lwesabatha kuyo yonke imizi yenu.
Do not [even] light a fire in your homes on days of rest.”
4 UMozisi wasekhuluma kunhlangano yonke yabantwana bakoIsrayeli esithi: Yile into iNkosi eyilayileyo isithi:
Moses/I also said to all the Israeli people, “This is [also] what Yahweh has commanded:
5 Thathani phakathi kwenu umnikelo ube ngoweNkosi; loba ngubani olenhliziyo evumayo kawulethe, umnikelo weNkosi, igolide lesiliva lethusi,
Make offerings to Yahweh. Everyone who wants to should bring to Yahweh an offering. [These are the things that they may offer]: Gold, silver, bronze,
6 lokuluhlaza okwesibhakabhaka lokuyibubende lokubomvu, lelembu elicolekileyo kakhulu, loboya bembuzi,
fine white linen, blue or purple or red cloth, [cloth made from] goats’ hair,
7 lezikhumba eziphendulwe zababomvu zezinqama, lezikhumba zikamantswane, lezihlahla zesinga,
rams’ skins that are (tanned/dyed red), fine leather made from goatskins, wood from acacia [trees],
8 lamafutha ezibane, lamakha amafutha okugcoba lempepha elephunga elimnandi,
oil for the lamps, spices to put in the olive oil for anointing and in the sweet-smelling incense,
9 lamatshe ama-onikse, lamatshe okubekwa awe-efodi lawesembatho sesifuba.
[valuable] onyx stones or [other] valuable stones to fasten onto the [priest’s] sacred apron and put on his sacred chest pouch.
10 Labo bonke abalenhliziyo ehlakaniphileyo phakathi kwenu kabeze benze konke iNkosi ekulayileyo;
“All the skilled workers among you should come and make all the things that Yahweh has commanded:
11 ithabhanekele, ithente lalo, lesifulelo salo, ingwegwe zalo, lamapulanka alo, imithando yalo, insika zalo, lezisekelo zalo;
The Sacred Tent and its covering, its fasteners and its frames, its crossbars, its posts, its bases,
12 umtshokotsho, lemijabo yawo, isihlalo somusa, leveyili lesembeso;
the sacred chest with its poles and its lid, the curtain that will separate the Holy Place from the Very Holy Place,
13 itafula, lemijabo yalo, lezitsha zalo zonke, lezinkwa zokubukiswa;
the table with the poles [for carrying it] and all the things that will be used with the table, the sacred bread that will be offered to God,
14 loluthi lwesibane sesikhanyiso, lezitsha zalo, lezibane zalo, lamafutha esikhanyiso;
the lampstand for the lamps with all the things that will be used to take care of them, the oil for the lamps,
15 lelathi lempepha, lemijabo yalo, lamafutha okugcoba, lempepha elephunga elimnandi, lesilenge somnyango emnyango wethabhanekele;
the altar for [burning] incense, and the poles [for carrying that altar], the oil for anointing and the sweet-smelling incense, the curtain for the entrance of the Sacred Tent,
16 ilathi lomnikelo wokutshiswa, lesihlengo sethusi elilaso, imijabo yalo, lazo zonke izitsha zalo, inditshi yokugezela lonyawo lwayo;
the altar for offering [sacrifices that will be completely] burned and its bronze grating, the poles [for carrying] that altar and all the things that will be used with it, the washbasin and its base,

the curtains [to surround] the courtyard and the posts and bases [for the posts from which to hang the curtains], the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard,
18 izikhonkwane zethabhanekele, lezikhonkwane zeguma, lentambo zazo;
the pegs and ropes for the Sacred Tent and for the courtyard,
19 izembatho ezifekethisiweyo zokukhonza endaweni engcwele, izembatho ezingcwele zikaAroni umpristi, lezembatho zamadodana akhe, ukusebenza njengabapristi.
and the beautiful clothes that Aaron and his sons are to wear when they do their work in the Holy Place.”
20 Lenhlangano yonke yabantwana bakoIsrayeli yaphuma phambi kukaMozisi.
Then all the Israeli people returned [to their tents].
21 Beza-ke, wonke onhliziyo yakhe eyamvusayo, laye wonke omoya wakhe owamenza wavuma, baletha umnikelo eNkosini emsebenzini wethente lenhlangano lowenkonzo yonke yalo lowezembatho ezingcwele.
Everyone who wanted to brought an offering to Yahweh. They brought some of the things that would be used to make the Sacred Tent and all the other items that would be used in the rituals, and the materials to make the sacred clothes [for the priests].
22 Beza-ke abesilisa kanye labesifazana, bonke abavumayo ngenhliziyo, baletha iziceco lamacici lendandatho lamasongo, zonke izinto zegolide; laye wonke owazunguza umnikelo wokuzunguzwa wegolide eNkosini.
All the men and women who wanted to brought gold ornaments, earrings, rings, necklaces, and many other kinds of things made of gold, and they dedicated them to Yahweh.
23 Laye wonke okwatholakala kuye okuluhlaza okwesibhakabhaka lokuyibubende lokubomvu lelembu elicolekileyo kakhulu loboya bembuzi lezikhumba eziphendulwe zababomvu zenqama lezikhumba zikamantswane bakuletha.
And many [HYP] people who had blue, purple, or red cloth or fine white linen or cloth made from goats’ hair or rams’ skins that were (tanned/dyed red) or leather made from goatskins brought some of these things.
24 Wonke owanikela umnikelo wokuzunguzwa wesiliva lowethusi bakuletha kungumnikelo wokuzunguzwa weNkosi; laye wonke okwatholakala kuye izihlahla zesinga ezawo wonke umsebenzi wenkonzo baziletha.
All those who had silver or bronze brought them as offerings to Yahweh. All those who had some acacia wood that could be used for any of the work brought it.
25 Labo bonke abesifazana ababehlakaniphile ngenhliziyo baphotha ngezandla zabo, baletha okuphothiweyo, okuluhlaza okwesibhakabhaka, lokuyibubende, okubomvu, lelembu elicolekileyo kakhulu.
All the women who were skilled to make cloth brought fine linen thread and blue, purple, or red yarn/thread that they had made/spun.
26 Labo bonke abesifazana abanhliziyo zabo zabavusa enhlakanipheni baphotha uboya bembuzi.
And all the women who wanted to made/spun thread from goats’ hair.
27 Lezinduna zaletha amatshe ama-onikse lamatshe okubekwa, awe-efodi lawesembatho sesifuba,
All the leaders brought valuable onyx stones and other valuable stones to be fastened to Aaron’s sacred apron and his sacred chest pouch.
28 lamakha lamafutha awesibane, lawamafutha okugcoba, lawempepha elephunga elimnandi.
They also brought spices [to put in the sweet-smelling incense], and they brought olive oil for the lamps and for the oil for anointing and for putting in the sweet-smelling incense.
29 Abantwana bakoIsrayeli bawuletha umnikelo wesihle eNkosini. Bonke abesilisa labesifazana abanhliziyo zabo zabenza bavuma ukulethela wonke umsebenzi iNkosi eyayiwulayile ukuthi wenziwe ngesandla sikaMozisi.
All the Israeli men and women who wanted to brought these things to offer them to Yahweh, for doing the work that he had commanded Moses/me to do.
30 UMozisi wasesithi ebantwaneni bakoIsrayeli: Bonani, iNkosi imbizile ngebizo uBhezaleli indodana kaUri, indodana kaHuri owesizwe sakoJuda;
Moses/I said to the Israeli people, “Listen carefully. Yahweh has chosen Bezalel, the son of Uri and grandson of Hur, from the tribe of Judah.
31 imgcwalisile ngoMoya kaNkulunkulu enhlakanipheni, ekuqedisiseni, lelwazini, lemisebenzini yobungcitshi yonke,
Yahweh has enabled his Spirit to completely control Bezalel and has given him ability and enabled him to know how to do very skilled work.
32 lokuthi acebe ubungcitshi ukusebenza ngegolide langesiliva langethusi,
He can engrave skillful designs in gold, silver, and bronze.
33 lekubazeni amatshe okufakwa, lekubazeni izigodo, ukusebenza emisebenzini yonke yeminwe ngobungcitshi.
He can cut (jewels/valuable stones) and enclose them [in tiny gold frames]. He can carve things from wood and do other skilled work.
34 Ifakile laye enhliziyweni yakhe ukufundisa, yena loOholiyaba indodana kaAhisamaki owesizwe sakoDani.
Yahweh has also given to him and to Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, from the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach their skills to others.
35 Ibagcwalisile ngokuhlakanipha kwenhliziyo, ukwenza wonke umsebenzi wombazi, lowengcitshi, lowomfekethisi ngenalithi, ngokuluhlaza okwesibhakabhaka langokuyibubende, ngokubomvu langelembu elicolekileyo kakhulu, lowomeluki; besenza wonke umsebenzi beceba ubungcitshi.
He has given to them the ability to do all kinds of work that is done by craftsmen—those who create artistic things, those who make fine white linen, those who embroider designs using blue or purple or red yarn/thread, and those who make other cloth. They are able to do many [HYP] kinds of skillful work.
