Kwabase-Efesu 3
1 Ngenxa yalokhu mina Pawuli, isibotshwa sikaKristu Jesu ngani abezizwe,
For this cause [[I bend my knees]], I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you gentiles;
2 uba kambe selizwile ngokuphathwa komusa kaNkulunkulu engawuphiwelwa lina,
if, indeed, ye heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given me toward you,
3 ukuthi njengesambulelo wangazisa imfihlo (njengalokhu ngabhala ngaphambili ngamafitshane,
that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before in few words,
4 okungalokhu, nxa lifunda, lingazi ulwazi lwami emfihlweni kaKristu);
whereby, when ye read, ye may perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ;
5 yona engaziswanga ezizukulwaneni ezinye ebantwaneni babantu, njengalokhu isiyembuliwe khathesi kubaphostoli bakhe abangcwele labaprofethi ngoMoya;
which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 ukuthi abezizwe babe yizindlalifa abahlanganyeli lomzimba ofananayo labahlanganyeli besithembiso sakhe kuKristu, ngevangeli,
that the gentiles are fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers with us of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel;
7 engenziwa ngalo isikhonzi njengokwesipho somusa kaNkulunkulu engiwuphiwe ngokusebenza kwamandla akhe.
of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God, given to me according to the effectual working of his power.
8 Kimi, engimncinyane kulomncinyane wabo bonke abangcwele, lowomusa ngawuphiwa, ukuthi ngitshumayele kwabezizwe ivangeli lenotho kaKristu engelakulinganiswa,
To me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to make known among the gentiles the glad tidings of the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 lokukhanyisela bonke ukuthi buyini ubudlelwano bemfihlo, ebifihliwe kusukela endulo kuNkulunkulu owadala izinto zonke ngoJesu Kristu, (aiōn g165)
to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery, which hath been hidden for ages in God, who created all things; (aiōn g165)
10 ukuze khathesi emibusweni lemandleni endaweni zezulu yaziswe libandla inhlakanipho kaNkulunkulu ezinhlobonhlobo,
to the intent that now to the principalities and powers in the heavenly regions might be known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,
according to his purpose for ages, which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord; (aiōn g165)
12 esilesibindi kuye lokungena ngethemba, ngokholo lwakhe.
in whom we have our boldness and our access in confidence, through faith in him.
13 Ngakho ngiyacela ukuthi lingalahli ithemba enhluphekweni zami ngani, eziludumo lwenu.
Wherefore I entreat you not to be disheartened by the troubles I am suffering for you, since they are your glory.
14 Ngenxa yalokhu ngiguqa ngamadolo kuYise weNkosi yethu uJesu Kristu,
For this cause I bend my knees to the Father,
15 okubizwa ngaye usendo lonke olusemazulwini lolusemhlabeni,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth receiveth its name,
16 ukuze alinike, njengokwenotho yobukhosi bakhe, liqiniswe ngamandla ngoMoya wakhe emuntwini ongaphakathi,
that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 ukuze uKristu ahlale ngokholo enhliziyweni zenu; ligxilile lisekelwe ethandweni,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, ye having been rooted and grounded in love,
18 ukuze libe lamandla sibili okuqedisisa kanye labo bonke abangcwele, ukuthi kuyini ububanzi lobude lokutshona lokuphakama,
that ye may be able to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,
19 lokwazi uthando lukaKristu olwedlula ulwazi, ukuze ligcwaliswe ngokugcwala konke kukaNkulunkulu.
and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fullness of God.
20 Njalo kuye, olamandla phezu kwakho konke okwenza okwedlula ngokwengezelelweyo kwesikucelayo kumbe esikunakanayo, njengamandla asebenza kithi,
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
